Mark shows you where the NBN installation comes into your house from the street and where you would need to run your coaxial cable from to where you would like your NBN Modem.

The new Clipsal Saturn range provides a much needed update to this kitchen, replacing the old HPM switches. We also upgrade the lighting to new low voltage LED lights.
Installing a Brick Light

Replacing an old brick light with a new brick light.
So one wire from the dimmer goes into number one terminal off the switch. and that cable from number one from your light switch that goes to your light goes with the other dimmer cable.
Hi there Mark, How do you clean there connectors? And what can we clean them with? As ours have been on our home for a long time and the signal has deteriorated and we get VERY heavy pixelation on foxtel and VERY slow internet! Thank you heaps! :)
Thanks this video really helps!
You did not want to show us led installing,,, What a stupid guy!
Thanks for the video. I had wondered why the dimmer wasn't just hard wired into the switch to start with but of course with the modular way switches are now. Solved my questions
stupid video
Rubbish
Hey Mark, I have a similar Clipsal dimmer switch with out the switch button but press the dimmer on and off as switch. It has a little illuminated ring around it. How do I stop just the illumination from behind the switch? Cheers mate
If I have 4 or 5 way switch how we can install rottary dimmer switch please?
Diginet hands done best one .. I tried 4 and the diginet night flicker once every 4 hours that’s about it best one
How would you do it on a 2 way switch?
Ever come across faulty brand new dimmer?. Just bought new trailing edge dimmer. It's open circuit. The Led won't turn on at all when installed.
I have tried 3 different dimmers including the diginet and a push button one. They all suffer from flicker when the offpeak signal comes through. Its so frustrating.
Hi, on the 4 holes for inserting wires which one takes neutral from wall ??? thanks Mark. I have a hpm dimmer rotary trailing edge unit. thanks
Deta didn’t work and Martec didn’t work both flicker should I try with the diginet?
How do u adjust the dimmer so it doesn’t Flickr ? I got a deta dimmer it says it’s compatable with led light . My led lights are dimmable I made sure before I bought them. But the dimmer switch makes them flicker is there a way to adjust them ?
Might be ballasts.
Would you like to show your fan switches please?
Hey Mark, is this the same as a variable speed fan controller (32E500F),
Does the switch wire go in with the dimmer in l1?
No, so the switch wire that goes up to your light should be put in a connector with one leg from the dimmer. The other dimmer leg goes into your switched active on the switch. Does this answer your question?
Switch wire with one leg of dimmer goes into BP connector, the other dimmer leg goes into terminal 1 in the Switch.
Hi Mark, came across this today. What are the specs of the coaxial cable used, is it a specific Branded name cable that is say Quad shielded RG6/U 75ohm for example. I have heard that some NBN installers when they come reject what another installer has put in as it does not meet their NBN standard. I'd just hate to a socket run and find the NBN guy says NO GOOD. What do you use.???
Commscope tri shield 75ohm rg6
He can’t tell you how to wire it. You cannot give electrical wiring instructions....to the public .....you need a licensed electrician to install this
Your comment is valid for Australia - here in NZ the home handyman can install a dimmer into an existing circuit.
@@richardbaron7106 He is Australian and operates his business in Australia... enough said!
And if they're not competent enough to figure it out from the wiring diagram in the box, they shouldn't be attempting it at all.
It’s not that he can’t tell you how to wire it. It’s completely fine for him to tell you, but legally you can’t necessarily do it without a license.
He just did. Bell end
may i ask why the dimmer has two wire design?
谭丽燕 1 wire goes into the switched active terminal on a switch, the other goes as your line cable up to the light mate.
One dimmer leg to (1) terminal... The other dimmer leg with the cable that control the light switch wire goes both together in BP connector..
Finish wiring the Thiong!!! Not much help.
Whats it like being an nbn tech I have a interview tomorrow. Not sure if I should do it can you give me some advise Ilits for a traineeship
This would be nice if most NBN installs were not still using the old copper lines.
If thats your example of how you install amps, pack up and leave the job and let someone else do it who knows how to do it right, first of all why display an amp install on a connection that dosent require it,where is your power inserter input, why is there no terminators on un used ports, amps only to be installed if 3 or more internal cables exist, why isnt you single lateral marked appropriately.
legend simpel nice and easy
How does the dimmer in the Clipsal Iconic go together?
Why is broadband so much work in Australia? I live in a small town in south Texas and I have broadband from the cable company 100mb for 80$ us a month and it’s didn’t require all arhat crap and no fttn stuff
Andrew Jones because ours is over 30 years old,was not maintained properly over this time, sold off and left to the new owner to upgrade and repair.
no earth
So I watched this 2:28 min video I think I am 100% trained to be an NBN installer! I bet that 1:28min more training than the clowns that are installing it now I bet.
no need for the amplifier as its not powered it will attenuate the signal instead
scott golder sorry for the late reply, there has been some major issues in hfc network that they had to pause activations to sort out these issues first
Can Mark Brown also explain what I can do with an address that has only 1 Telstra box but 2 separate NBN installations will be needed? Because the address is divided in two, one is for an accounting practice, and the other a private residence which will need a separate home phoneline (which is going to have to come from an NBN modem)
Yiannis Danatzis it is possible to have two nbn NTD's running off of one cable, all they do is run a second cable to separate room, second wall plate, second modem from ISP,done it many times.
Amp isn't even powered, won't work
Goz O he didn’t show the full set up. He would have used a power inserter inside the property to feed the amp.
5 dislikes? This bloke at least knows more than sure-a-com. Probably should specify that you are certified to run hfc and that you are only referring to hfc installs, not FTTN or FTTB or FTTP.
