Sandy Beach Campground Labour Day weekend 2024
Used the Tesla model y long range to drag our geo pro 12RK camping which practically costs nothing to drive, charging from home and the campground.

Getting ready for May Long weekend 2021
I’ve always wanted to explore that island. Been by in the boat many times, never stopped and checked it out. A lot of history there.
Didn’t really see much left. Couldn’t find any old building sites. The bush was very thick. We found out after that the island is “restricted” to protect whatever is left there.
We like our little GeoPro 12RK. We bought it in 2018, here on Vancouver Island, & have loved it ever since. Microwave, & fridge, outta there! Several other mods, that just make things easier. Toyota Venza tows it, without trying. Drive carefully, & smile often!
My nother used to live in a place called Sping Valley Saskatchewon. Is tthere a place still there?
❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful. Thank you for this.
That’s a terrible pronunciation of Whitkow. Good video though.
You live in one of the worst places on the planet.
Was there any ghosts?
is it worth a secon dond shot to go to
How is the sleeping space for the 3 of you? I know this camper is technically designed for 2 and I have a family of 4 so just curious if we'd be able to squeeze one more in with us?
It would be very cramped, and not comfortable with 4. As our daughter is getting bigger I’m finding it getting too cramped with 3.
@@chri5er254 thanks for the response thats what I figured
Huh
Curious, now 4 years in thumbs up on the GeoPro??
Build quality wise, I’d say is poor. However it’s handy for the climate I live in as it’s a bit cooler and quite a bit more comfortable than tenting. The only thing I can’t get working as I believe I have a blown speaker is the radio. (Got wrecked when to microwave fell though the kitchen). Other than that all of the other electrical stuff works. Just the kitchen is built really poorly.
@@chri5er254 thanks for your input. We live in Vermont and will do a mixed bag of National Forest (rough dirt road) to State Parks and Camp Grounds.

Do you guys run a generator with it? If so, what would you recommend?
Hello, no we don’t run a generator. However if we start winter camping with it we would. There isn’t really much to run in it. So probably a small 2000 watt one would be more than enough.
did the microwave screws not have locking screws on it? I've heard that is common with the Geo Pro.
No just cheap black headed screws, almost like soffit screws. The same screws used to “secure” it to the cabinet. In total theirs like 8 screws holding this 40 or so Lbs microwave.
I have the 2017 version of the same trailer, just like you and Henry the microwave is seldom used and the screws holding it in place is keep popping out and the microwave is almost falling, I ended up removing it just like you guys and put a little plastic storage box to replace it, also the TV back board is not strong enough to hold the lightweight tv, it falls along with the metal tv mount during my last travel so I removed the TV as well since I use my ipad inside the camper more often. Few months ago I too replaced the fridge with the 12v version and it's much better now. I still like this little camper since I can park it in my front yard and I have a smaller car that can only pull up to 2000lb. In the future I might consider a rooftop tent as well and it could save me a lot of money for the gas. Do we have the same fate and destination by owning the 12rk? LoL
Does the outside flooring, wood or synthetic, and is it exposed directly to the road,or is it sealed or encased(fiberglass)for example?
Gregory Adkins it’s exposed, there’s some sort of tar covered osb on the bottom. It has trailer brake, electrical, sensor wiring totally exposed as well as the water tank and piping exposed as well. I constantly have to rezip the trailer brake wiring harness back up.
Hey there. Great video. Do you think this is accesible by a NOT 4x4 vehicle?
Most of the camping in this area, you don’t need 4x4. However if you want a more private site you may need a little more than a car or borrow your friends car
@@chri5er254 sounds good. Thanks
An update on thoughts of my own 2018 geo pro G12RK ... 2 year old camper... Drove from Missouri to Yellowstone Wyoming with it for vacation ... 1st day of vacation reached near Kearney Nebraska while driving on Interstate 80 when we hear a weird noise then pop goes passenger trailer tire... since we were on I80 first thought was to get off the interstate before something terrible happens.... changed tire... noticed spare tire was against camper body... we started moving smoke started... so we had to drive 5 mile an hour probably even slower for 9 miles to prevent other tire from exploding... stopped at gas station to investigate damage... noticed whole camper body moved to one side... only thing stopping it from totally coming off was the tire.. We had to ratchet tie down camper body... so we wasted 2 days fixing camper... But we did notice whom ever screwed floor to trailer frame over torqued screws as head of screws was like afew millimeters from trailer frame ... so we had to unnecessarily purchase drill.. drill bits... bolts.. plates... align trailer body to frame... and stay somewhere unplanned due to shoddy workmanship... (oh and while looking for a suitable location to bolt camper body down near kitchen found a bare wire under sink) then after that 3 days later the microware fell out... again due to shoddy workmanship... we plan to replace it with shelving too as we never used microware once... we felt we needed more storage... it kind of defied the purpose of being more organized... an upgrade from a tent almost felt the same as tent camping... still packing up into totes... cause why.. nothing really had a home... cause why no storage we installed a 25w solar panel on roof rack to help charge battery for fridge... it couldn't keep up with it... don't know if it was due to a faulty main battery power switch (this could be just wear and tear ... rest not excepted)... if you move wriggle red key it would start and stop invertor... supplied invertor is 700w... In my eyes this is a shoddy piece of workmanship by Rockwood ruclips.net/video/EU2gbucAnA4/видео.html
Wow that sucks, this year our kitchen started separating from the ceiling inside, so i moved the screws over and recocked around the kitchen and put a lighter smaller shelf where the microwave was. But it could be worse. i do wish we went with the Taxa outdoors camper.... However now i might switch to a roof top tent in a few years.
oh i have that to look forward too... LOL cabinet separating from ceiling.. i can't wait.. Yes we looked at afew other teardrops also Little Guy... Tag.. before this I thought of building one... I don't know about your camper.... but when pulling the microwave out it showed the level of craftsmanship and skill.. (level of skill and passion... quality control that went into producing this camper to make many families happy ... ZERO ) OH NO... mess waiting to happen trailer body slips off in front of semi killing family of 5 in a mini van while on vacation.. where the ran wiring and fittings... hack this out hack that out... looked as if rats assembled it.. I expect more from a company especially one that has good ratings in the public eye. quality control between each stage of assembly to ensure safety.. WOW... mind blows what is hiding in those larger campers.. I sure the teardrops are properly produced from the scraps of it's larger cousins
Thank you for reminding me what a spectacular country we live in! Can't wait to get out this summer and are looking at small trailers, are you happy with your little geo pro?
Cards Are My Canvas hello there, we can’t wait until winter is over and yes we are happy with it. We like the ease of no real setup and the warmth and protection from the elements.
Interesting seeing your review as I am looking at buying one... same year as your in new condition for 5k was 7k got him down to 5 going to pick it up this weekend... and I will be towing it with a 2019 Subaru Forester Sounds like your camping experiences are similar to ours... with a tent it's fun for the first few days.. unpacking... packing.. steals a lot of time that's for sure... especially when it's wet, or trying to find a camp site before dark after along road trip... I love the idea of it being self-contained.... my vacation life style is always on the move... only stopping to sleep and unwind... do photography... then off again driving hundreds of miles... so a large camper and vehicle is un suitable... as I want something lite .. easy to maneuver... economical... plus they don't seem to depreciate to much... I think I got a good buy
Wow very beautiful place
Are you still enjoying the camper?
hollywood21639 we enjoy the convenience, we have been modifying it every year though. This year we are replacing the bar fridge for a 12 volt compressor fridge, this is so that we don’t have to continually run the inverter which is loud and kills the batteries.
@@chri5er254 how is the build quality? I'm looking for a camper to tow behind my Wrangler. Hoping to find one that will last.
hollywood21639 if your planning on taking it off-road ie logging roads etc. I would not recommend this camper. In fact I wouldn’t even go for the off-road version. If I were you I would look at the taxa outdoors campers as they seemed to be made from way superior materials. Not cheap panelling. We wished we spent the extra $$$ for the taxa outdoors
@@chri5er254 good to know. Thanks for the info.
nice video
LoL
I've been working this area too long, I know every one of those roads.
Your video is the first one I could find with someone actually using one of these campers. I was skeptical about the construction of it and now I'm more skeptical after seeing your microwave problem and not being able to use the awning during rain. I am leaning towards an even smaller New Wave or Runaway. The Nucamp looks great, but $$. These E-pro, Geo pro to me look like the best deal, but I wonder how well it will hold up.
Govnor thanks, I agree it’s the best bang for the buck. I did contact the dealer and I’m still waiting for a call back. In the meantime I made a little shelf and reassembled everything. There wasn’t too much damage(the light and speaker still works) if I had $$$ I would have gone with the taxa outdoors tiger moth though in Canada they are like $6000 more
Unfortunately in Canada everything seems to be much more $$ than in the states.
I cant wait to meet her!!!
Awwwww, shes so cute :D
Dakota looks like a little fuzybear in her little snack outfit.
Soooo Beautiful.
Cool man. You can see the clouds moving slowly as you speed things up.
Awesome video of your trip on the North Saskatchewan. Haven't done that in many years. Thanks for the vid.
