The carbon fiber looks awesome I wish they had that color option available when I ordered my f3 but it wasn't available yet
They told me that no one ever picks it! I thought it was one of the best looking. How long have you had your F3?
@@flywithty1 almost 5 years now and it's still holding up strong just a few things had to be replaced recently I just got my ics switch panel replaced the cable finally wore through from my swing away and I was having issues with the toggles and decided to try the push button one and I don't have as many fatigue and spasms in my wrist and forearm now 🙂

I see you have to adjust the seating once you come down from a stand. Instead of adjusting the back and seat height individually you could pre-set one of the memory functions, such as M1, M2 or M3 to be your standard drive position and go to and use "M1" to move the chair back to the pre set position. You will need to go through the setup but can be relatively easily. CMS have a good video on how to set the memory functions

It took national seating and mobility forever to program it due to me being so tall. We just never got around to programming the downward function. I don’t know much about it myself, but I will definitely look into CMS and their videos! Thank you very much. I really appreciate it!

@@hounddog946 It happened at my (at the time) good friends house, so we didn’t.
How are you able to move your arms?
My level of injury is a c5-c7 complete, meaning I should not have any movement chest down or finger movement! But I can still use my arms and move them around freely yet my triceps are extremely weak.

Great video. You are one tough dude with a great spirit. Just a side note. Get a center support for that book shelf on your wall. The last thing you need is for that very bowed shelf to break and come down on you!!!
My step dad and mother just built another shelf underneath it, but there are four braces now, so it won’t fall and kill me😂😂 thank you so much I really appreciate it!

Could you achieve full erection and orgasm with ejaculation? Can you have kids? Do you follow news about spinal cord injury regeneration methods? Did you hear about experiment from German scientist where they made paralysed mouse walk again after injecting some kind of gel, so called dancing molecules? I am 34 years old and I am obsessed fascinated with spinal cord injuries, how accidents happen, everything related to that topic. I truly cant comprehend how devastating this type of injury is, I am obsessed with cure for sci, but not just some improvement. I want and wish with all my heart that science provide humans with a method that will restore spinal cord in its original pre injury state. Its my obsession, I cant and will never accept it that there is no cure for spinal cord injury. I believe in body immune and regenerative system plus science will help us find a cure. I recently found out about case of Boban Jankovic, Serbian basketball player who in a split second due to referee decision slammed his own head up against concrete construction hence broke his neck immediately hence ended up in a wheelchair, its so sad. I wish sci does not exist, I am obsessed with concept of how one split second decision could change our life forever, about concept of remembering that situation, memories, passage of Time and simply accepting that this is our new reality. I dont know, this is lots of rambling from my side but those are some honest, intrusive thoughts and question that I needed to get out of me, sorry if I am too brutal but i dont know any other way.. do you often think of your accident, do you think about alternative reality and timeline in which it did not happen etc

That would honestly be a good video to cover, because there is so many things you can do with a physical therapist and a occupational therapist, after a spinal cord injury. They do anything from stretching your limbs all the way to putting electrodes all over your body and shocking you! This makes your muscles contract and moves, the strengthening them, and getting movement out of things you could not move due to your disability.
@@flywithty1 Thanks man. So I guess, even after, you will know how to stretch out better and avoid as much cramping. That makes sense. So you think it is valuable. I think your progress has been a miracle- keep going. One day great things could happen with god and modern science!
@@MOAB-UT I honestly believe there will be a cure within the next 30 years! Elon musk, himself has come close, but it’s only a matter of time🙌🏼
@@flywithty1 I agree and sooner than that. Since you have some movement you should look into a clinical trial or something I read about that has these bionic type limbs that work today on some people.
The physical therapist works with the patient to keep as much motion as possible and to help the patient feel better.

Ty, I have had my F5 standing option since 08/21. You look like you have had a better fitting to your chair than I received. I even had the Permobile rep come out to see what the problems are. I was wondering what part of the States your rep services. Mine is out of Dallas. I really don't think he had enough training on setting up the SO. The DME company rep acknowledged that he had not received enough. It's sad. We paid all that money for elevate and standing. I have maybe used the standing option 5 times, and not for very long, either. ☹️
I honestly don’t use the standing feature that much either, other than just to apply some weight on my legs every now and then. Fortunately, man was free with insurance. I know Kentucky is one of the only state that provides the standing feature with elevate for free. I technically have two power chair, ramps, and one of them is wonderful and the other never responds. I need thigh guys and a new seat cushion right now.😂

@@neurologiccure6732 It’s a more firm cushion, but still has the Roho air cushion in the butt area. It should help with transfers and being more stabilized. I am the only one who has hated the Roho cushion so far I believe.🤣

Hi Ty, I'm so sorry to hear about your accident and the results that followed. I hopped on my motorcycle 22 years ago to cool off after working around the house, and I didn't make it home until 4 months later. I broke my t6 vertebrae and damaged my cord at that level. I was 38 years old when it happened, and I just made 60 last October. It's been a roller coaster ride of a Spiritual journey for me, because it made me awaken to the fact that we all physically die at some point, no matter how healthy we remain. I found a RUclips channel that's answered many of my Spiritual questions (The Bigsib) as I followed his journey that he shared on his channel. I'm blown away at how little I really knew, and continue to learn more each day. Hope all is well with you, Ty! I subscribed to your channel and look forward to your progress. My hope is that you younger people will get the medical breakthrough that will end this dreaded physical condition. God bless you, Ty!

@Fly with Ty Thanks, Ty. I give much of the credit to my loving family, who've been there the whole time. Both parents are still alive and relatively healthy at nearly 80. My wife of 33 years has been a huge support mechanism as well. You're in my prayers, Ty, praying that you get your miracle and return to wholeness very soon! God bless!

did the insurance cover the lights on the chair ? nice chair btw! I've never had lights on my chair idk if they are really new I haven't gotten a new chair in like 6 or 5 years lol
The chair is brand new as of last year, so that could be why. I have Kentucky Medicaid and supplemental for my insurance, apparently Kentucky is one of the few states that will cover the standing frame option for free.
For Permobil if you get a chair with four seat functions (seat lift, tilt, recline, elevating legs) you can get the light package for FREE but your DME needs to check the box on the form. I have the F5 (non-VS) with all seat functions but no standing and it’s a great chair
