Fields of Grace IA
США
Добавлен 12 май 2015
Hi! Welcome to Fields of Grace! We are a new flower farm in Iowa, nestled in the countryside. I love all things flowers and after growing flowers as a hobby for 20 years, in 2024 we took a big leap and turned a wild farm field into a half acre flower farm.
With our unheated high tunnel, we are able to grow flowers almost year round. We grow specialty tulips, ranunculus, peonies, zinnias, dahlias, sunflowers, all the flowers really, herbs and more! I have huge perennial flower beds in my home gardens, along with fruit trees.
We offer seasonal open you picks, bouquet making classes, attend farmer's markets, do wedding florals and special order bouquets. I Love growing unique and special flowers and plants for people see and learn about.
We hope you enjoy following us along on our flower farming journey!
I also love to cook, you can find my fresh garden infused recipes at www.youtube.com/@inthekitchenwithgrace

The Flowers We Are Growing in Our High Tunnel This Fall | Growing Flowers in Unheated Hoop House
After growing flowers for nearly 20 years, this is the first year I have a full sized hoop house to expand my flower growing season. I am both curious and excited to see just what flowers I can grow during the fall season in our unheated high tunnel. My goal is to be able to have fresh cut flowers available for my local customers throughout the holiday season.
Come tour my greenhouse with me and I will show you what I am growing this fall, and what I use for pest control (11min in) and then we head out to the dahlias to see how they are doing mid October.
I live in Iowa, zone 5a/5b.

Просмотров 45Месяц назад
As we are nearing the end of our first year of flower farming, I am sharing with you all about our unheated high tunnel we built in February. With the costs of starting a flower farm, along with our construction/engineering background, we felt confident in building our high tunnel ourselves without a kit, to help cut down on costs. This is not a step by step how to put a tunnel up piece by piec...

Everyone wants yard sale items for a quarter…too much work for very little payback. I clean and display all my very good to new items and. No one wants them…lol I’m done yard sailing.
Nice, thanks for showing your process. 🌞I'm a new subscriber.
Hi there. I have a question for you.. Do you use the ez straw on your tomato beds? If so have they done well? I'm trying to find a straw that doesn't have pesticides or herbicides that'll kill my tomatoes. I called the company and they couldn't give me a straight answer. Thanks
Yes I put it with all my vegetables and they grow like crazy. I don't know about what's in the ez straw in detail.
very nice seed haul. i'm trying not to buy anymore flower seeds until i can grow the ones i have.
😂forever the challenge!!
appreciate your advice. You might want to listen to how many times you say "hum".
Zzzzzzzzzzzzz
I loved this thank you so much this is a good way for me to make some extra cash and money I need it so
Best tips! Love that all items have a price and same things together
thank you for this video!! very informative!
Looks amazing. Do you feel the harvest is worth all the hard work and water?
Yes! We do better every summer incorporating our garden veggies into the kitchen
I used EZ straw and now I have grass growing in my garden beds and containers
Really! That's the first I've heard of that issue.
Same for me!! I have it growing too
The lemon slice are million bells. Nice plants.
Nice haul !
These are amazing tips. Thank you
Great haul
🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦❤️👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾
I have the same problem! I always go on vacation at the beginning of august! 😆 You have such a nice collection of seeds. I organize mine in one of those containers as well.
Hello from S.C.
P.s. I'm horrible with cash! I never know where I spend it. I continue to use my debit. I may start using a cash envelope for eating out. Also, I use a small purse or wallet to fit all those envelopes, and I don't feel safe carrying a lot of cash.
I've just started budgeting this fall. This month feels like I'm sticking to the plan even though I've had 2 surprises this month.
astounding video Fields of Grace. I crushed that thumbs up on your video. Keep up the high-quality work.
You are absolutely fabulous. What stores do you usually do your grocery shopping at? Do you stock up on water? Can you possibly do some in store grocery shopping videos? It would be awesome if you could show how you do your full shopping trip
Ur plants r so beautiful😍😍. Liked ur video👍 New friend here
This is a great video!
$75 for a working Kitchenaid mixer?! I would DRIVE to you for that! Hahahaha Thanks for putting this video together.
🤣 it sold fast! I totally should have asked for more!
Great after Tour of your Vegetable garden! Surprise Pepper…exciting! Looks very peaceful there!
Great tour! I'm glad you got your cherries. Beautiful garlic harvest 😊🌿
LOOK at that beautiful rising sun! Subbed immediately! Like how you have your garden fenced around!
I have eggshells sitting on top of my fridge, thanks for reminding me to use them
Nice garlic harvest! I pulled some of mine early as well to make some room for summer crops!!
I'm having my first yard sale next Saturday. I'm excited to downsize
It's a great feeling to unload! Good luck with your sale!
@@FieldsofGraceIA thank you so much ❤
Thanks for sharing this video. So now I know when to pull my radishes. Your harvest looked so good. Have a blessed day
Everything looks really nice and healthy
Haha something has been pulling up my signs too and i have no idea what. But that’s where my RUclips videos come in handy! I have a handy reference for what’s planted where in each bed!
So lovely you have different kinds of flowery plants some herbs , green onions , radish and so on your furbaby tricky love it also he wanted to go around your plants new friend here, ohh you also have pumpkins growing
I do have a bit of everything😂🙈🤷♀️
Beautiful
The Mardi gras purple pepper 😍 I can't wait to see the fruit on that one! You can never have too many bean plants. You have to invest in some garden markers. They are amazing! Yay for the ladybugs 🎉 Thanx for the tour ☺️🌿
I had markers written in permanent marker and rain washed it all off. Lol
@@FieldsofGraceIA the garden markers don't wash off. They are waterproof & UV resistant
Very helpful! I have used it when staring grass seed since I live in suburbia. 😂❤️ Happy growing!
You are going to have a great looking herb garden. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day.
