Fire House Custom Fab
Добавлен 27 май 2015
For many years my dad taught me about cars, fabrication, machinary, and hardwork. Follow along as we work on cars, fabrication projects and have a blast working in our shop. My son and daughter will help out ( if I can twist their arms or bribe them enough) and learn some of the tricks my dad taught me.thanks for following us.

Your paint booth is pretty slick. I like that it can be put away when you don’t need it so it isn’t just wasted space most of the time. I hope you have a good weekend Steve!!!
Good morning Steve ☕☕☕ Yesterday was hectic and sideways... That's pretty cool!! I can see me with a full sprayer, lean back and knock it down...lol. Get some raft or pool patches, so you can keep your Nelsonized building maintained.. should fix any holes thet might happen.
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT
No it is not dumb it’s called making do with what you got lol
😉😉🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣
Looks great. You did an awesome job Steve. Customer should be tickled with it.
That looks really really nice Steve! Great job!!!
That turned out great!
Super nice work
Awesome job bro. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love and RESPECT brother
Looks awesome brother
Man yeah, thats sweat equity...keep aftet it Mr Steve!! 🇺🇲🇺🇲👍🏻👍🏻
Arco has that paint booth also. Pretty slick unit. You might consider pop riveting a light aluminum butt strap all the way around the top which would slip over the bottom section when you install it.
I've never seen an inflatable paint booth before, that's really neat! Good idea to use the bulk tote to store it in. Thanks for sharing, Steve! Hope you have a great Labor Day!
Thank you sir. It's cheaper than a built-in one. I'll probably do a quick follow up of it , but Arco with Outlaw Edge just did a video on his. I've had mine for about two years, we used it to paint the bigger projects. It works great but wind is not it's friend. Stay safe and have a blessed day
Been there...all I can say is, it's better than sledge hammering. Stay cool, Steve
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Nice job
Thank you for your support and I hope you have a blessed day
Reminds me of a little ditty... "Working on the chain gang......"
That'll rattle your eye teeth!
Mine too 😂
Right amount of heat in the right spot. Nice job, Steve!
Nice job 👍
Man yeah, can't beat that!!!
I have a good woman in my life. God bless me with her. That or she's just trying to see if I bought a new piece of equipment, LOL
@@firehousecustomfab3286 😉😉🙏🏻🙏🏻🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Is she for rent?? lol
Man I was amazed she did that. I got a good woman, that's for sure
😂
Looks like you nailed it. Much better than a plastic adapter.
That is one good looking mini truck Mazda you have there for a daily...Good polish and body work be looking like new...That adaptor looks awesome...Something to consider these Mazdas had Two types of filters the drum style that mounted on top the wheel arch and the Flat over the top element ..the drum type was meant for farming and dusty areas for better filtration ...The pancake may look nice and functional but it also sucks in under hood heat from the engine so it starves the engine of cold air to a certain extent...Had myself two of these Mazda mini trucks one was b2000and b2200.Just some information to share...God bless and be safe
Man, that's awesome! Thank you. I didn't know that about the filters, but I may have to look at doing something to help introduce cool air to the air filter area if I start having an overheating issue or an issue with it turning the fuel to vapor
Great engineering on that turning tool!
Thank you Mr. Matt. I appreciate it, and congratulations on 1,000!
It looks faster already with that chrome air cleaner on it 🤣🤣 I love milling aluminum, but I really don't enjoy turning it because of the stringy shavings. Some grades are better than others I guess. It's always good when you can eliminate things that you don't really need, less chance for future problems. Thank you for the update, Steve! I hope you have a good weekend!
Thank you for your support and comments. I hope you have a great weekend too
You know chrome adds an extra 10 horsepower
That's just what I need 😀
That after decat😁😁
Turned out great. 👍👍 Can definitely tell that was 6061 aluminum by the fact that there were no chips just one giant string of aluminum lol.
I'll be honest, I wasn't 100% sure what type of aluminum it was. It was literally a cut off that I had from a project several years ago. But it did a great job
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT.
Man yeah Mr Steve!! 😉😉😁😁
👍😎
Keep throwing them chips brother super proud of you
That turned out amazing Mr Steve, great repair!! I love that press and the history behind it!! Stay safe on that heat!! Thank you, sir for bringing us along!! 😁😁🇺🇲🇺🇲👌🏻👌🏻🥵🥵
I never realized how handy a hydraulic press could be until I bought one, now I don't know what I would do without it. Don't use it really often but when I need one it is a lifesaver. Nice work straightening and stiffening that up. I can't believe how flimsy that looked before. Much better now. Be safe in the heat, hope you have a good weekend, Steve!
The press is God sent. Thanks for the comments and support.
That’s a sweet press Steve
Thank you sir. It's done a great job. I'd love to have one with a foot control, so I can have both hands free, but this one is in good shape and it's paid for
@@firehousecustomfab3286 Yeah was gonna say samething until i read this reply
I don't miss those triple digits and high humidity.
I wish we could get a break from it, but that's not going to happen until around October
It went from light duty to heavy duty. 👍
Thank you sir, I always try to make it a better piece of equipment if I can.
It looks so much better now!
We still don't know what exactly he did to twist it that badly, but it was an interesting job trying to straighten it out. I also don't understand why they put so little brace in in it, once that tank's filled. That's a lot of weight to be sloshing around
@@firehousecustomfab3286 yes indeed! Even some thin light bracing would have been better than nothing. Your fix is 1000 % better than the original design. Good job
Love the t shirt.
Thank you, it's one of my favorites
Man that hitch is super light duty.
Thanks for sharing. Much appreciated. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love and RESPECT
Thanks. I really appreciate you and your support
That's a pretty slick way to move that box over! I'll have to remember that trick. I'll bet it was fun getting it off the trailer, I've had a few "kids don't try this at home" moments too but none quite that size yet. Thanks for sharing, Steve!
I know you are glad to get it off the trailer and in it's final resting spot.
Yes sir. It was not fun to get it unloaded but it is set now. Thanks for the support
Sorry y'all, I guess I had the video tagged as for kids and the comments were turned off.
I appreciate your video! I had a small meltdown yesterday. I'm super busy and I've been running a bunch of inner shield. Switched back to solid wire for an emergency job and had a gas issue. In frustration I switched back to inner shield to get it done. This morning in watching your video you mentioned the gun. Like an idiot I forgot to check it, and it had worked it's way out quite a bit. Gas was flowing, but not enough. Solved my problem. Thanks again!
Man, that is awesome. I'm really glad it was able to help you out. thank you for your time and comments. Have a blessed day
@@firehousecustomfab3286 You have a blessed day as well!
Man that's hot. When 96 is "cooler weather" it's too hot! 🥵🥵 Those organizer shelves will be nice, that's a great idea to put them there and utilize that space. Balancing tires at my uncle's house, he just had a bucket full of weights, so you had to dig to find what you wanted. But he had a bubble balancer so you were guessing at how much weight you needed anyway. You've got some nice equipment Steve. Be safe out there, and I hope you have a good one!
Thanks for the support and comments. It's taken a long time to get here but it's slowly starting to come together.
Super helpful video
Thanks, I appreciate the comments and your taking the time to watch it.
Nice idea!
Having things organized and easy to access is essential. It has been warm here too for being in the mountains.
Great use of that pocket of space. Seems perfect...better than perfect.
