Spectacular Lighting show in Northwestern Wisconsin!
We are under a Dangerous Thunderstorm Warning. This lighting show is beautiful and dangerous at the same time! I was safe under the covered porch while filming, but did retreat inside as the winds picked up. Hopefully daylight reveals a simple washed landscape and not any significant damage.

Potting Seedlings | Chicks are getting BIG!
Просмотров 121Год назад
Some of the seedlings are ready for bigger pots! This is a quick show of what I have going on in our porch. The little chicks are growing, need more space and (according to my husband) they STINK! LOL! In his defense, they are currently in his home office. I'm doing this because I enjoy it and want to show you that you too can start your own seedlings! A friendly reminder that when you go to yo...
REPURPOSED BAGA BUNNIES! | Canning rutabaga’s
Просмотров 25Год назад
Our local community had an Baga Bunny Hunt! These rutabaga’s were so cute! They were randomly placed in a safe area and the children (under 5) got to retrieve a Baga Bunny and then exchange them for an Easter Basket! I saw the post on Facebook asking if anyone would like them. HA! Of Course I did! 😄 I was thinking they’d be great for the chickens, but there is a food grade wax on them for prese...
It DIED! | DIY Microwave replacement | Finishing what I started 5 years ago!
Просмотров 104Год назад
Our microwave made a funny noise and that was it! No more heating capabilities. Called AJ's Appliance in Prairie Farm, WI to see what was available and my husband went the next day to pick one up. Now at least 3/4 of our appliances are matching Whirlpool and should last for a good while. We used our air fryer to prepare meals will the rest of the kitchen was disrupted. :) Always have a backup. ...
9 Chicks Hatched!
Просмотров 36Год назад
Quiet babies are happy babies! These littles are currently in the Nursery AKA, my husband’s Office. 😉 We have a 4 season porch that I can close the doors on and turn up the heat. This is also where I have all my seedlings 🌱. 9 chicks hatched from the 22 eggs that were in the incubator. All that hatched were from another flock so this will be a new bloodline for my flock. Not a stellar hatch per...
Hoop House Update | Building a Potting Bench in the Hoop House | Read the description
Просмотров 261Год назад
It snowed another 12 inches this week here in North Western Wisconsin. Since the weather outside wasn't so nice, I decided to work "inside" for the afternoon. Quick update on the hoop house and starting the build on my potting bench as we prepare for spring planting. I'm building as I go - no written plan so it takes me a while to get things rolling. It would be painful for you to watch me take...
February snowstorm in Northern Wisconsin | Shoveling off the deck!
Просмотров 44Год назад
Here in northern Wisconsin, we have received approximately 12 inches of snow. It is fairly light and fluffy so when the winds pick up it turns into a white out if you’re out and about. I chose to stay home today and right now I’m working on shoveling off the deck so our dog doesn’t use it as her potty spot!
Filling the raised beds | Cleaned out the chicken coop!
Просмотров 150Год назад
It was a great day to clean out the winter deep bedding from the chicken coop! Filled the raised beds and piled the rest in the garden to spread out once the snow has melted. *Note, putting fresh chicken poo on your garden should be done with caution. If you add too much or put it on too thick, there’s a chance that your plants will “burn” due to high levels of nitrogen. Compared to other manur...
Cold walk to the Coop Shed | Critters are hungry!

Come along as I go out to feed the chickens and kitties. Bella leads the way but takes a hard right and goes to clean up under the bird feeder. These are unedited clips so you get to see it just the way it is! 😁 Current temp is -6F, feels like -18F. 🥶

I've lived around coyotes most of my life and I've never had bad experience. Keep your pet away from them though.
I have a fairly secure chicken coop/shed where the cat's and chickens should be safe from the coyotes. :)
If a coyote is ever too close to a human and it makes them feel “uncomfortable,” they should be ashamed of themselves.
They usually don't come this close. Apparently they were out exploring that night!
Lol..
Chk chk boom!
We have some locals that hunt...
I love the tile ...
It was okay in it's day. :) I'm more of a farmhouse style.
Wow! You've had lots of snow!
It’s been an exceptionally heavy snowfall year for us. I’d complain but it does no good. LOL Just embrace it and prepare for the next season. :)
Your gonna have to get some kinda of head strap or chest strap to hold your phone!!!!
For sure! I just got a better camera so hopefully that will help with my filming. :)
Love it!!!
Thank you Tadd!
Well done on your first video- and I'm really looking forward to seeing the channel grow with such timely content!
Thank you so much!
