SKIPPING TUTORIAL FOR KIDS | S1 Ep 15: Mule Kick (entry level)
Here’s another fun little beginner skill for you that all kids love! If you know how to do a hand stand you’re already off to a great start. This one is known as a mule kick in Australia and New Zealand but in other countries may be called a frog. This is the entry level version for those new to skipping. Have fun with this one!

SKIPPING TUTORIAL FOR KIDS | S2 Ep 9: Double Under

Here’s one I get asked about a lot - the double under! In this skill the rope will pass underneath your feet twice before you land. Try not to jump too high and remember to land nice and softly, keeping upright the whole time. The double under can be a tricky skill to master so just keep trying! You’ll be smashing these out in no time.

Here’s a brand new intermediate skill for you to learn! Just like the cross, the EB is a type of body cross but it is a little harder. Make sure you start learning this one with our toe catch. It will help you figure out the timing and the movement of the skipping rope. Good luck!

This tutorial is a follow on from the 180 turn in Episode 12 so if you haven’t watched that one yet, make sure you do that before trying this skill. Once you have the 180 down we add onto it to make the 360! Watch this to learn how to turn around in a circle with your skipping rope. Adding this move to your skill set will give your jumping some fun movement.
