Almost brings a tear to my eye. Combination happiness of seeing a 62 year old Toyota revived, and sadness that pretty much every 50's Toyopet was relegated to the scrapyard. I'd absolutely kill for this car!!

Was at that museum (The Tupelo Automobile Museum) just yesterday. That is the first car you see when you walk in. <3 that car !! It is gorgeous. Restoration is complete and she looks beautiful.

My Grandfather, worked for Toyota, it was because of him, Toyota was introduced to Sri Lanka. The very first car they imported was the 1958 Toyota Crown Toyopet RS

The Toyopet is owned by the community and is on display at the Tupelo Automobile Museum in Tupelo, Mississippi. It was actually driven during the opening ceremony of one of the TOYOTA Suppliers, Auto Parts Manufacturing Mississippi at their plant.
