    Great info on gluten! And yes, several products I purchase regularly were clean months ago but now include gluten, seed oils, and/or bioengineered ingredients. It is an absolute pain, but I do try to read the ingredients list each time I purchase.

    Wonderful advise, Dr. Lexi. Thank you for all of your wisdom! I am in week 12 of my second 16 week exercise program. I have never felt better in my life and I'm 59! I would definitely encourage everyone to start small, and work on consistency, even if it's not every day.     Thank you, Dr. Lexi! As someone who struggles with depression, I can testify that these exercises do help with mental clarity. After being cleared off medication about 1,5 years ago, it felt like my mood and my ability to think hadn't returned, so I fought tooth and nail to establish a routine of resistance training and walking in the hope of easing the symptoms. My office also offered yoga twice a week, which helped me to stretch more regularly too. It nudged me to make time to stretch on my own when I couldn't attend them. Besides the things you mentioned, I also try to write journal and breathe mindfully. The difference felt noticeable, though only after a long while. I've been able to maintain my concentration for longer than when I was starting (I was able to return to my old hobby: reading <3). Allow me to write the things I'd like to remember for easier return: - "The key is consistency, not perfection. The small effort will add up. Make a non-negotiable appointment with yourself" - "Honor your energy level" resonating with this a lot because beating myself up for not being able to do things has hurt me more than helping Simple exercises to add to your routine: 1. Stretching (4:15) 2. Walking (4:55) 3. Balance exercises (5:30) 4. Strength training (6:00) 5. Mind-body training (6:44): taichi or yoga that engages both

    Benzodiazepines literally make me psychotic. Like they make me do weird things, become irrational and even hallucinate. Doctor had me on Ativan for nerve pain, 1mg. Tried to up my dose to 2mg but I stopped taking it because it really messed with me, to an extent Xanax and lorazepam do that but it takes a little bit more. Another one that severely reacted with my mind was Neurontin. Maybe it’s something with my brain lol

      I would say she got the info because she is a pharmacist, assuming she is what she says she is. And as for what to take instead of antihistamines, I'm stumped. But I know they're not good for long term use. And how they cause these issues, I don't know off the top of my head but I know these medicines mess with hormones and stuff like that.

    I just found out about PPI’s. Which sucks because I have TBI already, and PTSD, and some other issues from service, and constant acid reflux is one of the issues that affects me daily, and can be really severe. Without taking it, it can be hard to eat, and often get sick or throw up in the mornings. I always thought my cognitive issues were because of tbi and ptsd, but recently realized the meds cause those issues too, and make them worse. But I have no idea how else to deal with my stomach issues.
