I am a jazz LP collector.
I am also interested in audio system.
In this channel, I will play jazz LPs that I have collected over the years, especially early mono records, on my audio system. When you play the videos I upload, you can feel as if you are right next to the LP play system while looking at the screen and listening to the music.
I think that listening to Mono LPs has a different kind of musical appeal.
When listening to music, stereo versions usually sound better, but when listening to jazz albums from the 50s and 60s,
I usually think that mono records express the jazziness better.
That's why I enjoy listening to jazz from that era in mono.
The mono jazz sound that I hear while playing the record at the same time feels like the sound of a live club, so it's very ecstatic.
Let's listen to music from the heyday of LPs on records from that era.

Fantastic album with incredible arrangements. Thank you for sharing the tragic tale of Clifford Brown. I didn't realize he died at such a young age and his life and career cut short. But he definitely left some beautiful music for us to enjoy and love.

Oh, you know that fact😄👍
Well, yippee skippy. Thanks for the mono.
Mono is good for listening to jazz. 👍
merci pour ce disque
I hope you enjoy it.
What a lovely, full, and clean sound!
This is the sound of the original mono LP. Thank you.
My favorite genre of jazz is bandleader-on-bicycle jazz. I only know of this album and Bennie Maupin’s “Slow Traffic to the Right” but they’re both great albums
You seem to like fun genre. I think there are more album covers with bicycle pictures on them, I'll have to look for them.😄
very commercial!
Perhaps. Certainly lovely.

リラックスな気分に最適なゴードンの名盤ですね~☺️🎶🎷ボビーハッチャーソンと異色の共演🎶
Yeah I think so too.
ジャズ喫茶の音と雰囲気🎶🎷🎹🎶🙏
Because it's the original mono jazz LP. Thank you.
swing it make your own path. thats how we grow..........................go man go
It will be still go on~😊
What a wonderful start on my sunday - in a little cold and grey´ ish Denmark! Thank´s a lot for this energetic album, swingin´ so delightful...and recorded by mr. Rudy van Gelder!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have a nice day.
@@BlueNote33RPM I sure did...do still in fact! And a nice day to you also...!
@@Fioniajazzband Thanks a lot.😄
Great 👍💃
A great album. Thanks.
Thanks for the fantastic plays, sir
Yessssssssssss💙
Wonderful! Thanks for joining!
sun and thelonius were the mad geniuses of jazz
I think so too. I'll have to look for the Thelonious LP.

Lullaby for Realville is a sweet tune off of this excellent (if conventional for Ra) record.
RA's jazz is somewhat unique. I think it is worth taking note of by jazz musicians. Thank you.
thanks for uploading the mono! Appreciate it
When I listen to LPs, I really like the mono LPs produced in the 50s and 60s.
What is the purpose of putting an analog recording on RUclips to be listened to digitally?
Good question. By chance, I was playing a digital recording of my LP, and at some point, I felt that it was similar to listening to an LP. So I digitized another LP and listened to it for comparison. It is not as good as analog sound quality, but it feels much more analog than today's digital sound sources, so I wanted to share this fact with many people. And in terms of acoustics, I wanted to let you know that the mono sound from the 50s and 60s, in particular, is not low quality, but rather in some ways very natural and pleasant to listen to. 😄
@@BlueNote33RPM Oh, I know! The very first cd I ever bought was After Midnight by the Nat Cole Trio. It sounds beautiful. I learned that, even in 1956, they knew how to make great recordings, just not how to get them into peoples' houses:)
@@jeffentin3428 Yes, I think the 50s and 60s were a period that left a mark on the history of recording. I think it's difficult to reproduce the sound of that time even with today's technology.
never heard this record before, red and ira sullivan sound really good.
Yes, lesser known, but they are awesome performers ^^
Man that's a nice collection of vinyl you've got. How did you acquire it? And thanks again.
I've been buying my LPs mostly from specialty LP dealers and on Ebay. Thanks.
@@BlueNote33RPM Well I am impressed with your collection and very appreciative of your channel.
@@laonza7036 Thank you for your kind words.
uff!! cada vez mejores discos...gracias
oh yes .... one of my top 5 jazz pianists .... i have the three volumes of that trio also on vinyl. i think mine are also "first press USA" but .... the cover and DG is easy to check. the STAMPERS are the tricky part. i guess with that label we never know 100%. are your MATRIX stampers earlier than D4 D4 ? could be a D1 D1 never was considered to get out into pressing. perhaps D2 ? D3 ? ....... hi from berlin/germany
This LP have DG, stampers are D4/D4. I think, it is a very well made LP and the sound quality is perfect.
@@BlueNote33RPM thank you ! and yes, mine is also D4 D4. that label specially about 1956-1962 is GREAT. with the technical side and ROY DU NANN doing a lot for the great sound. + super good mikes. pressings. etc. the LP here is still PALLADINO doing sound and soon after the hey day of that label started. and hampton hawes did stay with that label in deep contact all his life. ( producer L.KOENIG was more or less the driving energy at the start, cause he WANTED this extra focus on great sound, great pressing and cover art )
@@AndreasSchmidtHappens Thank you for your commentary on this album. Your extensive knowledge is amazing.
@@AndreasSchmidtHappens Wow, thanks for the back story. I need to look into some more Hampton Hawes and the Contemporary Records label. Great sound quality.
Pre-Nucleus Ian Carr! Very cool. Enjoyed Rendell's clarinet on the "Prayer" & "Dusk Fire" tracks. 👍
I felt thrilled by the performance in prayer.😉
Dude knows how to tickle those ivories! This was great. Such a crisp, quality sound for a 1955 recording. All 3 instruments came through loud & clear. Kudos to the engineer.
🐘
The ensemble of each instrument was recorded so naturally. It's amazing.
YES ! recorded at LA gymnasium-auditorium of the LA police academy by JOHN PALLADINO

superb! thanx

Thank you. Enjoy it~😀
Another very sad case of a talented musician with a failed career due to his terrible habits. Unfortunately, a shame.
Yes, I think he had the talent to produce many more great works as a tenor saxophonist.
💙💙💙💙💙
Sublime recording by an all-star lineup. Really enjoyed this. Thanks for posting!
Thank you for enjoying it. 😄
Epic Joe Morello drum solo 🥁
🤘Totally Epic🤘
Wow, this was great! Thanks for posting. Particularly enjoyed Paul Chambers' bass work on "C-Jam Blues". Came through loud & clear in the mix.
It seems like you have a great ability to listen to music.

@@shoutinchuck3363 Thank you for your encouraging words.
This album is wonderful.
Absolutely wonderful in every way ! Thank you for posting
This is too cool and just the way to wake up in the morning
Makes me regret not pulling out my records. I love his smooth youthful sound, and I remember chasing down a lot of his late 50's stuff--some great stuff with Carl Perkins. But the later, post-prison sound is a whole new ballgame. Like early Chet and late Chet. Really close to the bone. You need to hear both. Beautiful set-up you have.
Thank you. He returns with 'The Return of Art Pepper', a new album released on Jazz West Records.
Soulful. Thanks.
Thank you for your uploads. It doesn't get much cooler than this.
You can enjoy music as much as you like. Thank You.
Mahalos. Generous of you to share all this. Grateful for your example of sharing high quality vintage recordings. Top shelf, my brother. Stay safe.
Thank you. Enjoy it.
Mahalo for these. Epic.
Yes, that's right.👍
Before they called him toots
Yeah, that's right😃
Damn man I wish I had your set up and you had a feather up your butt, we'd both be tickled! Fine recording!
😎
Thanks for sharing this soul food
