You don't need external sensors such as cadence, speed, or a power meter to use the MyWhoosh app. Instead, you need a smart trainer that already includes everything (cadence and power) built-in. This way, you can use the MyWhoosh app seamlessly.

Yes, for sure. There is also the GPX file in the description if you want to download it.
@@cyclingafter40 awesome, thank you & keep up doing the great work 👍🏻
thanks, very nice video
my h10 not reading accurately after 1 yr of use.. even changed battery.... can we even claim warranty w/ this?
recording lower and sometimes below 60 bpm... no longer using and went back to my wahoo ticker.
I would consider first contacting Polar and getting in touch with the Support Department. Explain to them how are you using it and what issues you have. Maybe they can support or maybe your device is with problems and need to be replaced. Good luck!
Awesome! This might convince me to pay again!
Good to know. I'm currently using a polar chest strap but I get "low battery" notifications very quickly. After around 18 hours of use. Which may sound like a lot but that's 3-4 days out with the bike
After your ride do you remove(disconnect) the device from the strap? If not, try to do this and in this way, you will extend the battery life.
Thank you for the information. I am currently looking for an accurate heart monitor, and this was very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the great video! Did you park your car near your starting point and start riding? If your endpoint is different from the day's starting point, how did you move back to the starting point to pick up your car? Your route looks very efficiently planned, but it seems to need transportation to and from the route to the hotel also.
Indeed we had a friend who acted like “our driver”. Drove us to the starting point and collected us back at the meeting point and then back to the accommodation.
I will convert my bicycle rotors and put the one of my car. I won't have any problems anymore
how to check the collor of Shimano Oil? what is the normal collor of Shimano fluid?? really? check on RUclips or google it my friend. Next, have a bottle of new Shimano Oil. Put the syringe on the calippers, open the screw on the top break liver, pul at the syringe and check the collor....if it comes out clean and collor is the same or almost the same then its still good. if you ride a lot check it every 6 months....if you train like a pro doing 4000-5000 meters of elevation 3 times a week then check it at least every 3 months....there is something called common sense and getting ti know the materials and components we use. cheers
The dimples you show at 5:25 in the video are “wear control points”, if you don’t see them anymore then your tyre needs to be replaced.
Nice video! I'd also add a CO2 pump for your list of considered products. I liked the emphasis about adopting your choice to your needs. Personally choose between hand pump or CO2 pump depending on the ride.
sounds fantastic but performance is terrible, locked to 30 fps, micro stutters on a high end gaming rig, not cutting edge imo
My workouts does not upload to my calendar but does upload to Strava after training is done.
hah hah "unique musculature" hah hah
Yes. This is going to be a fascinating ( as it always is ) Tour, but really different. Congratulations to the Organizers for there courage .
Tubeless tires and inserts are great for MTBs but I'm still not going to use either on my road bike.
Tube and tyre still works fine for me. It's easy to fit and fix on the roadside and costs less than half the equivalent tubeless set up. I'm no fan of hookless either, being a heavier rider.
Why an aired wheel with spokes at all? A bendy honeycomb wheel with rubber around it would solve all sorts of issues.
Shouldn't you state at the start that this is an infomercial?
I would have mentioned it if that were the case. Regrettably, it is not. This video is not sponsored.
@@cyclingafter40 I didn't say it was sponsored did I? It is basically an ad copy read. At least have the decency to admit as much. Like I said, an infomercial.
So any experience of fitting and using these?
I haven't tried them although I am considering buying one set.
Do these new Tannus run flat tubeless inserts work on hookless rims?
Hi, I did not find this information on their website so I asked this question for you. The answer from Tannus is “The Tannus Tubeless inserts are studied for Tubeless Setup, so they are compatible with Hookless Rims”. You’re welcome.
Well, middleaged fans wont be able to crank a 55/40 without cardiac problems 😂 Cyclist are a fun crowd, in awe for what the stars has on their bikes. And its the next buy on the list. Thousands of € 😂 In the end its mostly the bragging on the club ride that count.. 25 yrs back i was out with a local club, some where at a good level. They had real topnotch gear and wheels. And some had even more hightech and bling, but get the crank up for speed isnt anything you buy. And they always had a excuse when arriving 5-10 min later😂😂😂 Built a dumpstersave steelbike that i painted myself, shimano 105 9 speed and ended up with a bike that weighed 9kgs. And every ride the fast bunch joked about what new excuse we would hear when the braggers arrived.
Companyolo...thats what you said
Tadej Pagacar would win on any bike in the World Tour.
Great video!
It's called the world's best doping. But yeah, he's talented, but let's be real what really makes the pro cyclists the incredible machines they are. You know where all the best body builders and pro athletes go on vacations? UAE. It's not a coincidence. C'mon, stop trying to make groupsets and his bike have anything to do with the success of the UAE Team. Having the right drug cycle for a 140 lb cyclists to put out 450 watts up mountains is what makes him great, not his fucking bicycle, you weirdo.
Quickstep have got the best gear 🤷
That's just not true
@@BjarneLiv who do you think does? They have the best frame, wheels, groupset... Maybe not the best TT bike at this point, but every pro wants to ride specialized.
@@treyxt"Every pro"? How would you know such a thing? How could this even be proven? Stop projecting your Specialized horniness on to others
Thats pretty nuts that the uci is using it instead of zwift. Wow awesome stuff. I might check it out since zwift is $25 cad now
Thank you for the explanation.
This system is a great idea, but it needs two things to become successful: 1. Must fully integrate with Shimano and SRAM electronic groupsets, e.g. utilize existing brake/shift levers. 2. Price needs to come down to <$500 (price of quality rear hub + cassette + electronic front derailleur) Without these two changes, it will continue as a niche product or even just fade away.
It's too expensive and obsolete given the Groupsets have matured to a point that FD Shifting rarely, if ever, has issues. That entire hub costs as much as an complete electronic groupset.
I agree, it is not cheap.
I have di2 and can’t remember the last time I had an issue with a front change. I know technology has to develop, but for me, this is a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist..
I have been using 1x on my gravel bike for years. I went to a SRAM mullet setup last year. I much prefer 1x on gravel and wondered how I would like it on the road. I got a really good deal on a Vetus ZX-1 framset a few months ago and built it up like my gravel bike but with a 46t chainring. I have to admit that I prefer the 1x setup now. It is just confirmed when I ride my 2x road bike. I have the 10-50 cassette. So, I can go up steep hill and am still fast enough to keep up in a fast group ride. I did have to get used to the cadence chages though. I went with a spider so it would be easier to change out chainrings if I needed to.
Front derailleurs are a pain - no question. But a single chainring must - inevitably - cause serious wear on the chain because of a degree of cross-chaining. If completely flat in your cycling environment OK - otherwise forget it.
Great video and explain everything, i just swapped my 2x 105 50/34 with 1x 42t chain ring because am not a fast rider am old and i never use the 50 chain ring to hard for my hart the current setup is amazing and cleaner look too. Thanks for the good video
The best thing about a front derailleur is the thud noise they make when they hit the bottom of the trash can........😁
Nah thats too strong. 1x is clean reliable and precise but 2x isnt trash
I like my bike simple. Fewer parts is better. When Shimano introduced the GRX group set I bought it the moment it came available. I swapped out my 2x chainrings (50-36) for a 42t GRX chainring. The rear is still Ultegra (11-30t). It works absolutely flawless and I love it. Yes, I did lose some gears in the low and top ends but those were not being used to begin with.
2x is fine on my road bike and also on my mtb. 3x on my xc's fine too. No reason to change no matter what the marketing tells me.
1x is best for downhill and roadbikes but other than that i think 2x is best
1 x is absolutly disaster I hate it
I love it.....1X is the best
1x is the best for an all around bike. Front derailleurs are super annoying! I use 1x10 on my urban cycling bike I do errands on. My recreational road bike is 50/34 tho.
On flat road I use 48/50T and 1225, most important is the 16/17/18/19 continusly by 1T step so important that i can choose any candance on flat. I don't really need that smooth gears in climbing and i live in a purely flat area, not so many chance to climb (i can just switch to a 36T chain ring for those very rare occacion).
There are few things better than hitting the lowest gear on a big downhill and just fly like never before
get to the point.
Thank you for doing this. I'm a beginner. Just bought a gravel bike and been thinking modifying my handlebar. And what a coincidence, I'm over 40 as well.
That's super wide, why so wide?
Each handlebar comes in different widths. Based on my needs, this width is best for me.
Can't justify the price to weight or comfort ratio! Also need to get carbon stem too! 😂😂😂
