Overly complicated you do not need to cut the filler neck off just unscrew the hose clamp on both ends and then cut the rubber hose and get a new rubber hose make it so that it’s a little longer and it will not degrade by using gasoline

By the time you guys get the walls, completely insulated and drywall and plywood the outside that slide out is going to be next to impossible for you guys to take out by yourself so I would recommend either a a tow winch or a come along because there will be no way for you guys to be able to slide it out after you guys have the whole house completely done so to make your guises life easier I would recommend a medium size electric Wench

It didn't bankrupt Chrysler. By 1980, Chrysler was for years, run by old men who didn't want to change with the times and downsize when the rest were doing so. Chrysler didn't go bankrupt when this car was built, Lee Iacocca was able to get loans from banks and the government guaranteed those loans if the company failed.

I love this. My first car was a 1980 Newport that my dad had used as a cab. It had 680k on it and ran well. You mentioned that you had good traction in the snow. I'm wondering if that's because you replaced the springs. I remember the first time it snowed, I couldn't get up a hill - the car kept turning sideways. I ended up driving backwards the rest of the way home lol. Thanks for posting this.

That’s a Super Six setup on that slant, and it has the two barrel Carter BBD carburetor on it. To fill the float bowl you need to get a clear see through squeeze bottle with a pinpoint tip so you can control the amount of gas to prime it with. Put an ounce or two in the vent tube but don’t flood it. You don’t want excess gasoline washing down the piston bores. Also if you bump start it a bit, you give the mechanical fuel pump time to pull gas up into the filter so you know the pump still works. Nice car. 😎

Good content; good presentation; interesting info; pleasant to watch; and, listen to. Wow, what a negative abundance of problems, you faced upon taking ownership. Very, very ->good recommendations; good sensible additions to your car; interesting car trip log record considering the infamous background of your vehicle. It sounds like you own a vehicle for hire related business/correct-? It seems to be connected w/: your having a very small house construction improvement business that you also feature on another YT channel of yours. Also interesting opinions you hold; and, accompanying goals you attach to those opinions; set for yourself; &, then, go on to meet. You do seem to practicing sensible vehicle ownership. Thanks so much for posting this fine content. A few brief suggestions: more vehicle walk-around; &, display might be a nice addition. More importantly, the most detracting part for me, is the opener background audio musical track, using the Disco-esque stylimgs of: K. C.; &, The Sunshine Band Crew; (&, not his/their best number by any stretch). I would up your video's internal materials; and, at the same time, lose the questionable tastes, of: now culturally, firmly out of vogue, anachronistic, musical stylisms; such as: those selected; yet, not needed; &, very awkward: '70's, dance floor/nite club/"pop-hit/mainstream; " radio sounds. It seems it would as much great sense to replace it; as your great choices to replace the thermostat; the carbs; add the shroud; up the radiator specs; add to the engine block heater core; upgrade the A/C; &, your brakes, resolve the leaks; making those starter issue improvements; upgrading your fuel pump to an electric one; adding an electric fan; having done your well-deserved research; &, your changing your tire set-ups; upgrading your suspension details; keeping close track of your car's day to day livings; &, goings-on; dealing w/: essential; and, common issues; exploring the rust concerns; and, discovering many hidden positives in that area; etc. Thanks again very much, for posting your well efforted; well made video for; and, to: your interested, enjoying viewership; of which I am a new rank & file member! In particular, I liked very much, your personal views; &, philosophies, on your relationship w/: your personal possessions. Also much gratitude for your giving some info on your other vehicles. P.S.: I too, didn't enjoy the looks of this car; &, its' associated family of cars; when they were brand new; but, they also firmly grew on me; and, before very long; &, I do greatly love their style to this day. Have a very good 2024; stay well; continue to prosper; &, stay healthy. God Bless. A. Fri.-02/17/24. 2:50 A.M.-E.T.

My understanding are that residents and citizens can only purchase silver at the banks... maybe I'm wrong. Makes me wonder if that's why you were denied when you showed up. Also, explains why at the end she said she could not enter your passport number. I'm quite certain you need a National ID or CURP ID. Full disclosure, my parents are from South America, but when I speak spanish I still sound a bit like a gringo. lol

I don’t really agree with the title of your video… the R body Mopars didn’t really bankrupt Chrysler. They were already in financial troubles for a good 5 or 6 yrs before these cars came out. The R body cars were basically a good car. Just had a lot of quality control issues.

Let's not forget that they never filed for bankruptcy until the Obama administration, and they were asking for loan guarantees at the beginning of the Carter administration. Plus initial sales were strong, until the gas crisis. If anything, they tided the company over until Carter finally agreed to the loan guarantees in late 1979.

Triple pane windows require a fairly precise distance between frames. This design has panes of glass too far apart to benefit from the three panes, if fact it may provide almost NO extra insulating properties.

No, it was the Volare/Aspen line that did Chrysler in. Somehow, they managed to take one of the most reliable platforms they had, tge 225 Slant 6 and the Torqueflite transmission, ruin it, and put it in a car that was nowhere near ready for production.
