For decades, Health Surveillance Assistants (HSAs) have been the unsung heroes of Malawi’s healthcare system, bringing life-saving services like immunization, family planning, and basic medical care. Despite their critical role, HSAs have worked without formal recognition from the Medical Council of Malawi.
