Do you have to flush tranny in order to replace valve?

What engine code did you have that made you replace it?

Thanks! I never would have found the filter otherwise. The really hard part for me was getting access to the bolt that held the bracket in place. Seems like it was over engineered to me.

I have found that the clamps on Honda hoses are cheap and I can squeeze them with my fingers so yeah it's best to replace them

Thanks! Didn't know about the filter.... Honda Filter part 25430-PLR-003. I bought from my dealer $48.00, wanted to make sure authentic, PITA to replace and took about 1 hour. 10mm to remove filter harness. Remove from harness first, easier to get access to hose clamps. Did a tranny fluid drain and fill too.... I used ramps to get easier access to the filter. Replaced at 86k.

Thanks for the extra information! Getting ready to do a filter and fluid change at 100,000 miles. 05' CRV. I had my son in law pull most of the front apart (facia, radiator, etc) to change my seized alternator. He found the AC condenser was broken from a previous bumper bender. Ebay'd a new one for $65 and I recharged the system two weeks ago. So far, so good! Nice cold AC air! Now on to the tranny service.

Are you saying when you disconnect the lines from the filter? If so , a small puddle may form but not enough to require a big drain pan , maybe a piece of cardboard or 2
