I have the same push mower. I’ve had it for 4.5 years. Starts on the first pull every time and cuts grass! What more could I ask for? Haha
Brother those mowers last forever.. every now and then you gotta replace a cable or something but the engines are so solid. I mow 100s of yards with it in mowing season. Toro is a great product.
@ yeah man. I haven’t had to replace a cable yet, but I only use it once a week so I should be good. Haha
Got all the flip edging practice from miles on Judge Ely and the Lundsford! Lol good work broski!
Hahaha Halario on my ass all the time.. getting paid $7.50 an hour 😂 I really did learn from the goat 😄
@ dude we got $7.25! Lol still the best line I ever heard from Hilario… John Tonche was talking to me and said “Easy Peezy Lemon Squeezy!” And Halario busts out laughing and says in his super thick accent, “Leemon Squeeezy!!” Hahahaha
@kccreations5945 🤣🤣 pay was brutal but we did have fun.
@ that’s the truth! Also that’s just wild that the houses with the AC are only 21” apart…. I could never! Also I use a toro time master so I really could never lol
Wanted to correct myself at the 14:00 mark. My blower is an echo 580T.. 😅
Thanks for that tip on that fuel pump trick. I spill gas tying to lift gas can to fill mowers etc i'm gonna get one of those and try ot out transferring gas into cars etc.love the channel lawn steward
Thank you brother! It was a cheap purchase that makes a difference. I used to get it on my hands, boots.. get in the truck and just smell like fuel 😅 this thing changed all that!
Hey so what do you do with the leaf torpedo once it’s full? Dump it on site? Load it on the trailer and take it home?
I dumped on site.. he had a burn pile you can see towards the end. I dumped there and all down that fence line on the right side. I didn't show me dumping it. My bad on that. Had so much to get too 👍🏻
@ no problem buddy. I was just curious cause I ain’t seen something like that before.
It's a good little contraption to make for really big jobs like that one so I don't have to dump as many times. I will say it didn't work exactly like I wanted but it got the job done. Had to get off the mower a lot to get the debris to the back of the torpedo in order to fit more. I'd give it a 5/10. I'd recommend an actual bagging system for mowers if you can afford it. A bagger for that scag costs 2.5k though.. so a $20 tarp and zip ties is hard to beat lol
I got one of those fuel pump sticks for loading water into our camper from a can! But also works for gas too! Great idea to not have to lift a 30lb can!
Just a cool little contraption. I wouldn't use it for gas if you use it for water though 😅
@ oh yeah no doubt! Side note: that tarp things was sweet!
how much did you charge for the first job? i am new to leaf cleanups and looking to get an idea on how to price.
Hey brother, thanks for tuning in! That job was for $150 but keep in mind I've already done one for them (another video) and they are a close neighbor. If I do multiple cleanups I keep the price lower.. if they let all the leaves drop and then call me it's more of like $400.. Hope that helps you out.
What oil change interval are you doing?? I do every 5,000 miles so at least 3 maybe 4 a year!
Well you're saving some serious cash if your doing 4 a year! I do every 5,000 for the most part. Maybe let it creep to 6 or 7 if I'm busy lol. Route density and I don't go past 20 miles from my house to service anyone.
@ that’s nice you don’t go beyond 20miles! I also think another factor for why people like working with a lawn guy who does their neighbors is your lawn gets cut at the same time! So you aren’t the only shlub on the street with a tall lawn! lol
Hahahahaha very well put bro.
I don’t have a lawn care business. However, I can confirm from a customers stand point, that the door hangers with instant quotes do work. I’ve had a couple left on my door, and I called them. Ones that didn’t have an instant quote, I threw away. Haha
For sure, it's a small tip but makes a world of a difference.
Damn bud you got some work cut out for you at your place! 🤣 haha can’t wait to see what you do with it.
Brother, I know! My goal it to finish everybody's leaves I have the schedule and spend a good 3 days working on my place. I gotta get to it because it'll be March before you know it. Raining all the time, makes it a mess back there.

$203 for parts and labor to replace a coolant reservoir, seems like a fair deal. 👌
I thought so as well! It was something like $75/Labor.. 75$/Parts.. and $53/pressure-test/taxes I thought we did alright.
You’re a little off with “deep in the heart of Texas lyrics”. But you were close, worth a laugh haha 🤣👍
As I was singing it I could just tell it didn't sound right. 😅
@ hahah well thanks for leaving it in there! 🤣👌
Thanks for sharing the problems you’re running into, i.e. the glue, and then sharing your solutions 👍
Thank you.. not sure what was up but I bought cheap Walmart "all weather" glue sticks and in the past it hasn't been this hard to get off. It's also been colder this year than previous. Idk. 🤷🏼♂️
@ damn, oh well 🤷♂️. Maybe a video idea you could do for the next month or so since the weather is close to what it is around Christmas time, is get several different types of glue. Hang up several lights on your house, on different surfaces, and then let us know which ones work the best as far as holding the lights, and then also releasing the lights at take down after 4-6 weeks. Idk, just a thought. 🤷♂️ Then you’d hopefully have a better for your customers next Christmas season.
Damn. Doesn’t it always seem like trucks break down at the most inconvenient times!? I tend to lean towards glass half full. So keep your chin up bud, maybe take this small amount of down time to further sharpen your video/editing skills 🤷♂️👍 Try to make some use of it.
We got it fixed in the next video but yes, in the moment it always feels like the worlds crumbling 😂
That’s awesome you took care of the military guy! This might be a question for a light install video, but what kind of lights do you use? Like do you find them in 100 ft strands and then cut them to fit?
Yeah I'll answer this question in more depth going into installs next year but I do buy the 1000' spools and cut from that. 12" spacing, C9 sockets. 👍🏻
@ oh okay 👍 and then I assume you just charge the customer by the foot?
@@CatMechanicCJS charge by the foot
I agree with you on the homeowner topic usually the renters want the bare minimum service good video keep them coming!!!
Way to look out for the vets and active military and to do him a solid!
For sure brother 👍🏻.. it's wrong that somebody did that to a military family. Karma is a 🤬
Something to think about too is look into getting a “portable/bluetooth” microphone. There was a couple times where you were far from the camera and we missed what you said. And in regard to the quotes at the end of the video, you got a great attitude about it. Don’t undersell yourself! 👍
Oh for sure, great advice! I'm probably going to invest in a GoPro and mic this spring/summer.. I do everything with my phone right now but here in a month It'll be ringing like crazy. I'll have to figure something out. 👍🏻
@@Lawn-Stewards right on partner! 👌

Great work buddy! I like the mix of chill music/time lapse and mild chit chat.
Thank you! I'm pretty new to all of this so my editing skills are meh lol, but getting better!
@ haha it’s all good bud. Take each day one at a time and learn something new from em! You’ll have it figured out in no time 👌
Looks great!
Thank you bro.. your business logo is 🔥🔥

Keep these going man!!!!
Yessir! You already know I have one cooked up for tomorrow 💪🏼
My fake xmas tree will stay up to at least st. Pats because 🤬 normal.🎉 🎄
😂 I don't blame you one bit brother 🤙🏼
Do you all not have gutters down there?? What do the bulbs clip to? Just the drip edge??
Gutters aren't cheap 🤣 yeah these "all-in-one" clips I buy can go on both the gutters or slide under shingle. I use all different kinds though. Shingle Tabs work better on some. It just depends on on multiple factors.
Dang that’s a huge property! Had a guy quote me $190 for my 10,000 sq.ft lawn so I’d guess you were at least $800 for this beast! Great video! Hope to see more like it!
Yeah.. I'd say in most situations guys will just charge the price of 2 mows for leaves. Big properties like these get an hourly rate and we just see how long it takes me. This one took 6 hours.
@ makes sense to me! I really enjoyed the chill music and watching you blow leaves! Made me feel like I was being productive but you were doing all the work! Lol

Hey bud so quick question, what do you do with the leaves if you can’t dump on site?
If I have to haul off leaves/grass, I'll throw down a big tarp over the bed of my truck and dump in the bed. Wrap it up real tight and strap it down. I've got a pretty big burn pad at the back of my property that I'll build up and do a couple burns a year when not in a burn ban. Works pretty good. I always charge dump fees if I do 👍🏻
@@Lawn-Stewards well hell right. That works out pretty good then 👍
