How to wrap/pad items like a mover
Just a few tips from a professional mover on how I pad wrap items carefully for safe transport. Everyone has their own way of doing things, this is just my way. Thank you!

Просмотров 55 тыс.8 лет назад
Hey guys just wanted to make this video to help anyone with an 8th gen civic Si 2006-2011. Apparently after a certain mileage a scratchy noise can be heard around the idler pulley area it sounds distinctly like sand paper in a bearing. I replaced the pcv valve as shown in the video and the noise went away! I will make another video shortly to make sure the noise has stayed away and does not com...

Просмотров 11 тыс.9 лет назад
This is a short review of the j35 throttle body on my 2006 Honda Civic Si. It performs very well, took only a couple hours to learn itself. My car is still not tuned but I look forward to making a video shortly after I do so.

Did a small 3rd gear pull of the highway and then slowed down cause NH cops are everywhere. Car has a custom exhaust, AEM short ram and a J35 throttle body, car is currently not tuned.

Here's a Walk-around of my 8th Gen (2006) civic si. As of right now I have a Aem SRI and a custom mid-pipe that was welded on.
Dude thank you!! I squeezed that tube and the sound instantly went away
Is the sou d oy in a cold start? Or do you year it also when your accelerating?
This is 100% the noise I've been trying to diagnose on my 200k mile si since I got it about a month ago. Thank you for the video! This is really helpful!
Awesome! Glad I could help!
Thank you for sharing this! It worked for me! Greetings from Panama🇵🇦
who won?
The noise is only in cool star right my friend because I’m having the same problem with my si coupe only when it’s cool
Same type of noise hard to describe… it happens on startup and when I disengage the engine to shift and then now after the shift upon acceleration. The noise goes away after the car is warm/ running for a bit. Thank you for the post I’ll try this!
Did you noticed difference with the j35 throttle body even not tuned ? what's the feeling ?
Purrs like a kitten! How many miles? How did you get your headlights lookin so clear with a lotta miles on the vehicle. Sand job or replacement?
You need to tune it out on hondata there is options for what bolt ons you have. I have the j35 with zero rev hang.
civic si bearing ok
Nice..new sub fir you bud, sub me back when you have the time
Hey I was wondering if you could hear the grinding noise while driving to?
Not too apparent while driving but can hear it clearly when idling. But it has since vanished
Your problem is solved dylan? I have some weird nosie from speakers when i driving
Every when are you supposed to change this valve
I also have this noise and I also thought it was the pulley! Will replace the valve. Cheap fix. Also: I noticed my alternator hisses when under load (headlights on etc). Anyone know how to deal with that? Or is that normal?
No xtra power
Did u notice any gain is this worth it
I did at the time yes, i now have a RDX J37 that is a little more expensive but better, all up to how much you want to spend.
@@christianlopez5223 money doesnt matter I can afford either of them but my thing is I think for me the j35 might be a better option you selling your old j35 ? I'll buy it
I don't still have it unfortunately
@@christianlopez5223 damn where did you get yours from
From my local honda dealer
Same here changed pulleys and it was that dumb pcv valve thanks a bunch
is it still good?
But where’s the video of it making the noise
Yeah whatd it sound like before....?
Um...um...umm
Could you hear this noise louder inside the car? i have a similar scratchy noise than can be heard louder from sort of behind the dash cluster/steering wheel
JB95 yours sounds like an AC blower motor.
I had a sratchy noise as well, replaced the pvc valve, no noise for a week, but then it came back
Jared Shattuck i would check to make sure you don't have chain slap
Si Garage I just tested it today by clamping the pvc hose, and the noise went away. I'm going to get a Honda pvc instead of a aftermarket and give that a go
Jared Shattuck yeah I went with a Honda one
Si Garage alright, thanks for the vid explaining the problem! Never would have guessed it
Jared Shattuck no problem man I haven't made any videos in a long time I gotta do an update hahaha
this is awesome man! I had this noise started last week, my local mechanic changed the pulley and the noise is still there, but minimal, so tomorrow morning I'm going to get that bloody PCV Valve from HONDA and get it replace....they are charging me AUD 154 per hour labour charge.....i wish i had the time to change it....
Lol its literally the EASIEST thing to do.... loosen it and put the new one in.... lefty loosey righty tighty is the ONLY thing youd need to know...
all you have to do is bolt this on and thats it??
JOHN L. Yes, it's better if you have hondata so you can tune it to your car specifically but it doesn't require hondata. It takes about 2 hours or so for the relearn but then it runs fine. It will just idle funny when you neutral out coming to a light or a stop
JOHN L. You need flashpro to run it. With this throttle body, you will suck in more air than stock and the ECU will think you are running lean.
I have this noise, Thanks for the video im going to try this after the car comes out of storage.
how did yours work? im planning on replacing mine tomorrow
Mine sounds like beebees in a can shaking , not loud at all but if you rev the car in neutral you can hear it from 1000-2000 rpms , above that it goes away, when it idles back down you can hear it again before it reaches idle. I dont hear it while driving
Hi Tavis, I get the same thing on my 2009 fd1 civic with r18a engine. Have you found the noise source/issue?
I have a noise similar. But only when my foot is off the clutch and In neutral. I know it's not the throw out bearing because I had it checked. 😭
Glad I could help out bro
Thanks bro, I had changed the idle pulley and tensioner pulley and still had the noise, seen your video and so I did the same pinched the hose and noise went away!
What ended up beig wrong with it my car has the same sound
It's exactly what he said. But does your alternator hiss too? Try turning headlights on with hood open. My alt hisses when the lights go on.
the fault is the tps sensor needing recalibrated
All honda pcv noise is same. i got the noise with using castrol oil. I did change it but the noise was back after 15k km. now i use mobil 1 and no problems so far
Does it only make that scratchy noise when you cold start it??
what basemap were you using?
Did you port match to suit the J35?
No sir I actually need to make a new video to update my car and what I've done to it.
Oh okay. Just wonder as Im waiting for my rbc to come back. Its getting Match ported to a J35 and a 3" Intake
Good idea. I have the hybrid racing 3.5" intake and a RLX throttle body now I'll post a video soon.
Acura rlx throttle body what size is that.. been trying to find it .. is it bigger or smaller then then j35throttlebody? did you ever get your car dyno tuned with the j35 throttle body and how did it go? thanks
I was thinking of getting this, any problems on it after a while?
Had it for a very long time now and even bought 2 different intakes and has never given me a problem
Hi, I do have the same issue in my HONDA Civic FD1 recently. My self still looking where this sound is coming from? The same rattle sound in my car comes when the car is in Gear mode. How did you judge, the sound is coming from PCV Valve? Do you have video during the issue?
It's the Time belt tensioner
Malin Harshanath mime 05 Crv make the same noise when I stop to a red light it makes a weird grinding noise so if I put it on N stop the noise idk something like that
Still working fine? Read on hondata that the electric output from the tps is completely different from the stock . Which causes the problems
Thanks for the video man, I think I am gonna get it soon :)
Yes definitely something I recommend you will hear and feel a difference if combined with a short ram intake
where did you get it at? I have the throttle body on my si but I didn't get the sensor delete for the vacuum line. so I do have an engine light and its bugging me... thanks man
I got it from Honda it came straight in a kit with everything I needed. I know it's a pain to order stuff but that would be your best bet if you don't have a Honda dealer in your area.
Exactly lol I can't wait
Will do
