I’m a anesthesia technician, and sometimes I noticed they expect us to know other equipment, but where I work we deal with making the a-lines, making the heparin bags, setting up the Belmont and cell-saver,changing oxygen tanks,etc. Personally a lot of stuff we do is behind our job description or seems added on. Like it seem like we do ORA work and AA work, but that’s just me. I thought anesthesia tech just trouble shoot the anesthesia machine and MRI machine, stock or bring supplies not all the other stuff. Not to fuss but it just seems stuff on thrown on the techs but I guess it depends on where you work.

lol psych nursing is the easiest of nursing. You’re literally sitting on ya axx baby sitting people. I used to float to the psych unit on days they were short and this is Chicago. Zero effort or thought process really 🫤

Yes accountability is everything and yez definitely double check next even you you have to check 5 times do so because that's a person life in your hands and i know sometimes we rush things and when you rush and don't check behind yourself mistakes will happen. Be blessed

Narcotics are a huge deal at my facility-always triple check! Accountability is the real MVP. Honestly, I'd put my fingers down their throat to get it back, lol! It's true what you said-it can happen to the best of us. Keep pushing! God has covered me many times.
