I just had a rear differential bearing and seal kit - Toyota 8" installed on my 1987 Toyota 1T PU and it spews gear oil out the differential vent. Before this work was done the mechanic found that the differential vent was clogged and unclogged it. Any idea why it is spewing gear oil. A year earlier I had new rear wheel bearings and seals installed. I don't know if it matters but on the way home from the differential bearing and seal kit work the inner wheel bearing on the passenger side failed. After they replaced the inner and outer bearings and the seal I found that it still spews gear oil out of the differential vent.

You didn't explain what you could the wire tester to. Looks like a random door bolt. Also if would have been nice to actually have a blown fuss to see what it actually looked like visually and being tested.

I did a service on my 2017 MUX today, just doing the air, oil, fuel and cabin filters, as well as oil obviously. I replaced the washer for the sump plug, got it from my local isuzu dealer. Anyway, i am getting a small leak from the sump plug. I didnt over tighten it, and its certainly not loose. The plug itself was in good condition. Hope it recitifies itself, but probably not. Any ideas?
