It's like they made part of my life into a movie. I knew a girl from when we were kids. We are both English. We got really close as teenagers and often get lost in each other's eyes. In my case, I waited too long to ask her out when I was 18, and she rejected me. Years later, we got close again, but she was seeing someone. I ended up quitting an activity we did once a week, and she got so mad, played me a heart break song. Eventually, I traveled to America and met an American, a tall skinny blonde ironically. My childhood crush and I got married in the same year and month, just not too each other. I moved to America and for a few years I told myself this woman was perfect and I was happy. But this woman treated me the same as the blonde in the movie. Shouting, blaming and always angry. I moved out. I reached out to my crush, it has been decades now that we have known each other. We got friendly again, to some degree. She was still married but I didn't know if she was happy as she never mentioned her husband. I wrote to her and told her how I felt about her. We are now in our 50s. Unlike this movie though, there is no happy ending for me. We live separate countries with different lives. No one ever made me feel the way she did when I looked into her eyes. It's like our souls recognize each other from and another time or place. And as Alex said, If you reject him now, he will make his lifes mission to meet the most perfect beautiful girl to try and get over you. He will end up marrying this other woman. Telling himself she is perfect. That he really must be happy. But she won't be you. Thanks for reading.
