With God on my side it was easy. My parents were known Christians. But I was determined to join because I hated oppression couple with the fact that I was stubborn but my parents never knew I was a cultist because as a maphite we were taught and trained to be responsible and be under cover. Though not the type they do today. They knew I saw a member in my street because of the hit some axe attempted on me in my area, though it was a revenge mission. The reason I am alive today was because one of the guys knew me so well and never wanted me to be a victim of cult casualty. I was able to escape but they shot along. After that incident my parents suspected me and my area people had a divergent view. Some were still left in doubt why other believed. After that I became a must go down in their list. The incident that orchestrated their hunt for me was an attempt we made on their guy. That guy was badly injured luck was on his side too that he didn't die that night because the ones that escaped when to mobilize because it was their area. That night I can't forget. They outnumbered us and the reminding two of my friends escaped because they were familiar with the area but me I was a stranger. So they captured me and started using woods on me to the point I lost strength and could defend any longer. Where strength came after awhile I can't tell this was already at about 1 to 2 am in the morning. As I was running in darkness because there wasn't a light that day. Something told me to hide under a station vehicle which I did. The guys looked for me for hours and couldn't find me so they left. It was at that time I started finding my way back to my friends house. Meanwhile I was bleeding and had a broken hand. But thank God I survived it. It was at that time the Holy Spirit started ministering to me that it was time I quit. That was how I got dedicated to things of God and was very active in church. The pastor of our other branch I joined didn't believe I was coming to submit to God, he thought I have come to initiate his youths. Thank God after much observation he believed and started giving roles like the Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader and other strategic offices in the church. My service to God in the church was unprecedented. My ruggedness was top notch . I never knew God was preparing me for greater things. Today, I am a man of God with Christ Apostolic Church after undergoing seminary training for two years. I have been Pastoring churches ever since then. To God be the glory.

@@osoriaasibor I would've but it would have been too risky for me, especially from the rival cult group. You will notice in the last cult clash in Benin City how they killed some old-timers. Those younger generations don't know us now because we left long before joined and we were also away because of the ministry. I come to Benin often even when there is a cult clash.
