The Unit - Air Quality Comic
Enable closed captioning for French language subtitles.
As the rate of forest fires increases with each passing summer, families across Canada are more likely to be exposed to dangerous levels of smoke. Families like Zoe, her brother Garret, their Naaáhsa (Grandmother) Rose, and Izzy, their dog can be affected. Poor air quality is no joke. It can have a serious impact on one's health.
One summer morning, thick smoke from a forest fire travels through their region and Naaáhsa Rose quickly falls ill. With their mother away on a business trip, the responsibility now falls to Zoe and Garret to keep their family unit safe.

Anno Kitsiksaahkominnon (This is Our Land): A Blackfoot Graphic Novel
I find that writing indigenous languages in hiragana or katakana is actually much more beneficial in terms of phonetic sounds than a regular European alphabet.
Oki everyone.. im here to learn my ancestors language...
Oki✊🏾🦬🪶
Amazing game! I wish you great fortune in the casino
this experience was built using "colonizer" technology btw. Why don't you make something similar using Indigenous resources? I think that would be more authentic.
It's ok to be hurt. We all go through pain in this life. But you don't have to try to hurt others to feel better, your choices decide the person you are.
GO AUNTIE GO AUNTIE GO AUNTIE ⭐️💜
I have this book and I live in Calgary I love it 😂
Fantastic, thank you!
I am looking to understand and speak Blackfoot in memory of a woman I met in the early 80's in Great Falls, Montana. I nearly left the British Army, went AWOL for her but, she told me to go back and not be looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life. \i am both glad that |I did and sad that I did at the same time. I believe she is now passed and I wept for her. All I can do now is honor her by learning her Native Language.
im just confused I wanted to go see her music but could not find her
Lol 😂😂😂😂😂
Why not teach use the vocab and pronunciation and then let us translate the story. As is, why are only the few Blackfoot words chosen to learn?
Wow, wonderful, an actual Blackfoot learning post. All the others just say the words and move on with not explanation or proper pronunciation, or how it works in a sentence. I hope there would be more and that the introduction of vocabulary along with a story would be great.
Thank ya'll. I had a great grandmother who was sold from our Blackfoot tribe 😢 and sold to work for the Watsons. I just wish I could know more about my true culture
Do you know of any videos teaching blackfoot as their mother language?
I enjoyed playing the game and I liked the music.
I believe putting macron's over the vowels instead of writing 2 of them can really help convey the language more effectively and efficiently. For example, instead of writing "Niitsitapi" it would be Nītsitapi. And for Bison/Buffalo it would change to īnī instead of iinii. Just my thought as I study multiple languages and this format is understood worldwide, which would ensure consistently accurate pronunciation, no matter the native language.
This deserves more recognition
how do you say "I love you" in blackfoot and with what signs?
I have found out that I have Blackfoot in me. I couldn't believe it and I want to learn more about it. There really isn't anyone left from the old days in my family to talk/ask about it. I want to thank you for having this video and channel.

Hi, I just found out that my great grandmother was blackfoot. I feel so confused and disconnected. I am 48 and no nothing of my people or myself I want to be more connected to my family and I I don't know how to go about it.
I would love to pronounce my name , Beatrice in Black Foot & what does it mean?
ᑯᖳᒧᔈ Piatis maybe. It wouldn't mean anything in Blackfoot but it might mean something else entirely if it happens to sound like something else bh coincidence, it's from the Latin Beatrix
Thank you for telling the story all in Blackfoot. It's easier to get a "feel" for the language.
How do you say stop playing the victim.
Shut up.
I believe the phrase was created by millenials. It goes, "Ok, boomer."
I love you for this. I am SikSika❤️
This is a very informative video! :)
ᓴᖿ̇ᑊᑯ! ᖲᖽ, ᖹ̇ᒣᖹᘁᖾᐠᖷ ᖱᖿ᙮ Soká'pi! Oki, nitánikkoowa Ika. I'm so glad you mentioned the Syllabary. It's creation was headed by a white missionary but he did have at least one blackfoot collaborator whose name rarely gets mentioned & on top of that it's partly based off of the Cree Syllabary. Some blackfoot acquaintances of mine have amended the Syllabary to finally be able to write long & accented vowels By adding one new final , -a ᐩ & ̇ ̈ dot, & double, for accents on the top of the character the system becomes fully usable Some examples Naato'si ᖻᐩᒪᑊᓱ Kokomi-kisomm ᖾᖾᒍ ᖽᓴᐢ Iiníí ᖱᐟᖹ̈ Imitáá ᖱᒍᒣ̈

Thank you for this video! I would like to learn some words so that I may connect better with people in calgary
A long story and worth the time listening to it. As a Na'a (Grandmother) I tell stories to my Grandchildren. Usually in the car (no phones allowed) They (grandchildren) are captivated by stories of long ago.
Thank you 🙌🏽
