Thanks! I think physicality is powerful right now. The current experience of music as digital content is a stage of development in a long thread of music as a commodity, starting with the development of the first recording technologies in the form of notation. This isn't necessarily a bad view on what music is (just as stereo is a pretty reasonable choice for an accessible playback standard), but a very intellectual rather than bodily perspective that I think should not be the only view we are exploring. TLDR: Plenty of people have done and are doing the old thing well, so what is the new thing?

What do you find interesting about it? As someone try to do something that purposefully works outside of the scope of existing recording technologies I'm always interested in how it's coming across when I explain this stuff.

Thanks! I think I am particularly drawn to the longterm vision for Temple-65536 out of a love for the monumental quality 20th century modernism and land art. Simultaneously that era of work sometimes has a lot of ego involved, in terms of an archaic romanticized vision of the individual genius or an "I made the steel cube and you didn't" type feeling. Part of creating a just society acknowledging the fact that everyone is creative and deserves to meaningfully actualize to that side of themselves, without destroying access to the singular beauty that's possible when a project is executed on a grand scale beyond what we can reasonably make accessible to all people. In that context it feels exciting to build something monumental as an instrument that others can play with as well: monumental art for a new century. 😵‍💫
