Hailing from Penryn, Cornwall.
KLEN formed in the ashes of lockdown mid 2021. Originally a three peice sporting two guitars and a rudimentary stand-up drumkit, they currently perform as a four-piece having introduced a double-drumming fulid arrangement.
Self proclaimed as ‘the freakbeat beatniks’, their music draws influence from early Garage Punk and English Freakbeat of the 1960’s alongside an array of other personal influences that subtly bleed into their distincive, angluar sound. Purveyors of the new ‘Kernow-Beat’, KLEN are best descibed as snarling Garage Psych with a Post Punk edge.

Love it guys - Coming across with a sound between Parquet Courts and Captain Beefheart. I met you all sitting outside after the Neville Staples gig - St Mary's in the castle - I mentioned Big Lebowski - you guys bowled me over.

I once bumped into KLEN rushing to the aid of a small flock of wounded carrier pigeons on the side of the A30 near Fingle Glen Golf Hotel & Resort, they nursed them back to health in the back of their van. Nice guys
