Love the thought
Really interesting discussion
We are using more and more Green Tech that will or can replace finite resources like Fossil Fuels. I sometimes wonder if our use of fossil fuel extraction in the Gulf Coast has any effect on Techtronic plate movement in the area. The fact that Crude oil is finite and a producer of Carbon within the atmosphere is a good reason to rely on different technology. Supposedly, it has taken millions of years for the earth to produce what we have. We have also learned that bio fuels are an effective resource that can serve the same function. I think we may never know whether or not we will possibly need what we have in the future. So those places in the Ocean are pressurized as they are very hot. If we harvest the fuel, the pressure gets reduced, if there is a collapse, It could possibly affect plate movement. I think it could also be a good idea to take Landfill waste that is also used for a new methane production method and Auger it using existing logistical methods, into those wells. We could then possibly leave a little of the existing Crude, or add other types of bio organisms to restart the what nature put there in the first place.
Life stars from it. In our area an idiom is popular. Paani, Phaghar & Paikhana. Which means to live anywhere human need's 3 things. Which are Water, Kitchen & Toilet.
Hey TM team, thanks for getting Erin in for this talk. And Erin, thanks to your family and you for sharing so much of your time and effort getting the word out. You're doing an awesome job. I'm sharing this and other talks as far and wide as I can. Also, thanks to Rachel Donald, through whom I first caught your name on her Planet Critical series. Kia ora koutou katoa!
Thanks. Great discussion. ❤
interesting to know. Plant foods are healthy as well, it is easier to digest. however plant based meat are processed in factories and should be minimally taken, as compared to fresh plant produce.
Really? 1kg beef can use 15,000 to 20,000 litres of water to produce?
The change is in our hands!
Nature knows it's course... very insightful Jayant... Thank You for sharing
Amazing webinar. Rowan rightly said, it is high level thinking that can divert our habits to be sustainable. And utility vs greed, build a house that you can maintain and is fit for your needs, not a house that boasts your wealth; there are many other ways to spend that extra money. And use technology and materials to the best use; I also liked the part about standby power use, most of the time our microwave and laptops and TVs are always powered on even when we do not need to use them. A small switch off and unplugging will save energy.
This video beautifully highlights the pressing need for a shift from the traditional linear economy to a regenerative one. The concept of the Regenerative Economy is not just about reducing waste but reimagining how we create and consume goods. The THRIVE Framework seems like a comprehensive approach, connecting actions for a thrivable world. It's inspiring to see initiatives like this paving the way for a more sustainable and harmonious future. I'm eager to learn more and explore the THRIVE Framework's impact. Heading to the website now! 💚🌍 #RegenerativeEconomy #THRIVEFramework #SustainabilityJourney ❤
Thanks Shenelle for such a wonderful crisp clear and conscious video about ESG and sustainability
Good job bro
Great🎉
Good work bro.
Great presentation, thanks. :)
How to connect with this organization who can lead as to carbon sink project?
John - we should talk. Great stuff here - it’s a wide open target. However, a couple of things to note. First, when you say ‘everything electric’ - that’s right. With a renewables future, everything must be electric - as the government now tacitly admits with the failure of its green hydrogen initiative and its removal from our plans. And secondly, with everything electric, our home heating will also be electric. And the good news is that when most all our power comes from offshore wind (see ‘UK Net Zero Action - Now we can’), the cost of electricity should be much lower as fossil fuels drop out of the mix. If we can get electricity prices down to 10-12p, we may be able to heat our homes with simple electric boilers. That’s key to us achieving net zero BTW. Finally, as you point out, we are going to need massive power storage, both long term with green hydrogen (to power turbine electricity generators), but also short term with batteries (4 times as efficient as green hydrogen). The only way we are going to get that much storage to balance the grid is with a battery swop network, because only motorists can afford to pay for it. We cannot achieve net zero using offshore wind without a battery swop network, in fact, as I can prove. So while a charging network is nice to have, in that it forestalls a BSN, it is not helping to get us to net zero - because a charging network will never be able to upload enough power to balance the grid!. So we can achieve net zero on time, but it must focus on those three elements - plus the grid updating.
Thanks Michael and THRIVE. Great presentation. Thanks for sharing. :)
This should be held up in America. A few years ago they released 200 elk into a forest. Then opened up a hunting season for elk right after. Had to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of. And indeed, animals surely have a spirit. My Native people believes all is spiritual. Think if we werent we'd be empty vessels roaming the earth like souless souls walking through the River of Styx in perpetual torment.
Thanks Shenelle :)
