OFFA presents Oakville’s only independent film festival each year in June.
The 2023 Oakville Film Festival is celebrating 10 years as Oakville’s only independent film festival and will run from June 21-27th 2023 as a hybrid event.
With mostly live screenings, we will also offer some hybrid and virtual-only screenings to accommodate our filmmakers submitting from throughout North America and internationally.
Each year, OFFA highlights International, Canadian and Regional premieres along with independent films, documentaries, and short films.
The 10th annual Oakville Film Festival launches on Wednesday June 21 st , which is National Indigenous People’s Day in Canada, with a special GALA evening highlighting Indigenous film, song, and dance, plus the Canadian Premiere of an incredible new film. Other GALAS will feature Canadian and International Premieres, with guests from around the world participating in the festival.

WOW! A Q&A for National Canadian Film Day with Ivan Reitman, one of Canada's most well-known Directors who did this special Q&A with Oakville Festivals of Film and Art and Reel Canada for National Canadian Film Day following a screening of his film, Meat Balls. This is very special as Ivan passed away the following year so this is a wonderful memory to have.

No, not at all. Her comment followed on the other women's comments about finding commonality with people you perceive as different and I think the implication was primarily about WASP vs Muslim Arab/Palestinian, native Canadians vs immigrants, since that was the primary conflict in the film and there were "bad apples" in behavior (or perceived bad intentions) on both sides.
