Can someone please help, I’m fairly new tho producing and i just cannot write basslines!!! I am struggling to find a good sounding bass to make heavy house with to start, and takes me ages to make something sound cool. I see he uses the smile plugin however i will give that a look up, but can anyone give me the name of a stock ableton sound/bass genre where i can find cool sounding bass? I,ve tried using the operator and scale as shown in the video but my bass does not sound heavy at all
look for "lately bass" sounds, use serum, follow sound design tutorials, that's your best bet. learn how to automate, add swing etc and your basslines will improve.

Hi, quick question; in what order do you tend to create your sections? Drums, Bass or your Synth?
I always start with the bass. First I’ll choose a nice kick, then I’ll start making a basic bassline pattern. Then I’ll make some basic drums, and then I start the synth stuff and FX. I always try build the track core foundation (a nice groove), then start polishing it up with some finishing touches. Once the idea is there, I’ll change the bassline a bit, maybe add in some extra drum samples, and add more synths and stuff. So in order it would be: 1. Bass 2. Drums 3. Synths 4. Adding extra stuff to the bass, drums and synths

which sylenth preset is it ?
Factory sylenth preset, called ARP 303 Pulse. All I did was turn off the arp and changed the ADSR 🙌
Thank you but what is the exact name of the operator preset in the video ? I could not find it.
I made that bass from scratch in operator, it isn’t a preset 💪 just copy my settings that I showed in the video, it’s a saw wave with a lowpass filter, little bit of resonance and a strong envelope

Thanks bro! 😎 should’ve jumped into the synth there, but it’s a factory sylenth preset ARP 303 Pulse, except I turned off the arpeggiator and automated the filter cutoff 🙌 hope this helps!

Great video! Was looking for a video like this, since i would really like to produce music in the same style as luke & max dean (and other artists with the same style. Do you have recommendations for some good sample packs that go along with this style? And where did you get the triangle loop en cowbell samples from? Since these are not samples that you see in a sample pack very often. Thanks!
