It is strange how many people opposing the death penalty are quite OK with the murders of others and constantly use the victimhood card to make excuses for the aggressors. It is as if the victims themselves were guilty and deserved it or don’t matter. When one listens to Bryan’s laments in youth you realise many youth feel alienated like this and eventually find a way through. If only they knew at the time how similar we all are and how these feeling are normal as you struggle to find an identity and build your persona. The victims were not perfect either because behind those bright smiles they had their own struggles. Young women like many probably looked in the mirror and thought they were a bit too fat and not pretty enough. The young men probably all felt ungainly and foolish much of the time. You hear things like this again and again in meetings of recovering addicts and other trauma victims trying to find strength in the support of others. People who commit such awful crimes have no place in the community. A great audio book.

At least this book is a bit more tasteful than all those current channels spouting rubbish conspiracy theories when the trial has not even taken place. They are the worst. Most of these have not even followed the case and are based on pure hearsay and stolen content. The worst are the presenters with the pseudo come hither voices, over done make up and nails addressing all their imaginary fans, making it all about them. Insufferable ! The book might be fiction but at least it doesn’t run people down. 👍

The very reason this heinous crime has captured the attention and hearts of the world is because these innocent lives were real ppl. They were someone's daughter, son, family member, or friend. In their short lives, they each touched lives, made a difference, and brought light to the hearts around them. This is iluminating that very fact, that they had bright lives, lives that touched so many even in after death. This is not simply about their deaths it is equally about the impact their lives had and have had.

I am 15 minutes in, and so far it has captured my attention.

regarding Bury seeing as there weren't the two jobs in Dundee did he choose their because of the third option a Scottish jury has Not Proven - if Bury wrote the words " jack ripper is behind this door " i don't believe him jack even if his wife wrote it he Bury could easily have rubbed it out - so why hint ? - imo Bury might like others have murdered at least one of the 11 Whitechapel murders .

I don't understand what Scott Thorson had to be afraid of. It's not as though he overheard a murder plot.

Excellent audiobook.

Many to consider all told well and very believable some more than others but I believe at least 3 where by same killer and believe most likely a fish gutter worker, William Henry berry fits and to some extent Kelly

Berry very much seems the man very convincing and a lot more convincing than most if not all of the other accused by far and like said here i agree the letters where fake or at least mostly where,theres a part 2 and 3 to listen to yet looking forward to them,wondering if micheal maybrick will be mentioned mr Robinson's culprit from they all love jack which was very convincing and a good read

I'm so glad this book is free on YT, because I would never spend my hard earned money on it. It is pure speculation about the murders and some chapters are simply him narrating the police cam videos of the noise disturbance calls months before they were killed, that you can watch on RUclips. This guy thinks he is Truman Capote, but he is NOT.

Around five minutes in, it's stated that the FBI profile described Jack as a victim of childhood abuse, and that he had no anatomical knowledge. In fact, the analysis performed by SSA John E. Douglas states that Jack's mother was domineering which, although it does not preclude abuse, also doesn't entail it (a domineering individual might be belittling, hyper-critical and controlling, and never once raise their hand in violence, but nevertheless do immense psychological damage--especially to a child). Douglas also states that he believes that Jack's removal of specific organs does indicate some anatomical knowledge.
