It's so many things... I'm around kids at church and at the preschool where I work and here's what I see: A lot of kids are being raised by single or divorced or depressed/emotionally toxic parents or by their tired grandparents. All of whom are too busy for them. They are raised either by super gentle and permissive parenting techniques or else a really harsh, reactively angry parenting style is uded until the kids don't respond to yelling anymore. A lot of kids have a lot of stress at home because we live in stressful times. And a lot of kids are being raised by youtube as a result, and consequently, they have zero attention span and are exposed to continuous vapid content (skibidi is killing your child's braincells stop it). These youngest ones especially were born seeing only masked faces for about 2 years, thus stunting their emotional growth and language skills during formative years. Which is a big deal when it comes to being able to regulate. Their brains are fried from digital over-stimulation, their sleep cycle is disrupted and they don't get enough sleep (if their parents are mature enough to even get them on a schedule anyway), their bodies don't get an appropriate outlet for energy so they either buzz with too much energy because they need to move or they can barely sit up for 15 minutes without slumping on the floor because they are weak. They are fed a constant diet of too much sugar and junk foods with little to no vegetables. They are not being given any moral instructions or thoughtful discipline at home to nurture compassionate souls. They are either coddled and helicopter or they are neglected... sometimes a weird blend of both. The parents just want a miracle fix like cutting out red dye or letting the teachers do it.... tell me why 1/4 of my small preschool class in a private Christian school needs behavioral and/or speech therapy... and why they qualify for special school district after observation.

As a 11 year old, some of my classmates cant read. Like i struggled to read in kindergarten and then i learned it over, my classmates always stutter "t-the d-d-duck walked to. (Forgets he was reading) the stop singh" cant even say sign right (as you can see) im one of the luckly few who were raised. Sometimes i get distracted, but yes I try to get sleep. Worst luck I vow not to end up like these kids
