How to make apple Liqueur - With apples from your own garden
In this video We go pick apples and make 2 tasty apple liqueurs.
One Christmas one, and one with a ginger kick.
Recipe:
Hand picked apples - we went with about 8 apples per container.
Sugar
Water
Vodka
Cinnamon sticks
Ginger
Method:
Add about 8 sliced or diced apples to your container
Pour over vodka or other clear alcohol (about a liter)
add ginger or cinnamon depending on which type you make
Put in a cool dark place for 1 month
After a month retrieve the containers and add syrup + water to the mixture
Syrup recipe:
I went with about: 100 grams of sugar to 180 grams of water.
After I had made the syrup I added a ratio of 1/1 of more water.
So if you made 1 liter of syrup you mix in another lit...

Hey, I've never made/seen homemade alcohol. So was wondering, how do you tell if it's poisoned with methanol or if it's too bad you can't drink it?
beer or wine has all the methanol in it ,by distilling you can remove this. most of the things you hear about home distilled alcohol causing blindness is propaganda from back in prohibition times. that being said this is just adding vodka from the store to fruit, not homemaking alcohol.

Really enjoyed the video, relaxing to watch. I do wish instructions were listed so i could learn something. It might take away from the video a bit but I do think a minimum explanation is needed

The liqueur looks amazing ... I wish the measurements and the instructions given in the description box were clearer. Sad I may never be able to make it.
Too slow even at 2x speed
Just drink the vodka and dont bother,
Don’t toss the apple slices. They are crunchy and taste great. Also, taste the apple-infused vodka before adding any syrup to “dilute” the alcohol content.
