First Hive Inspection After Reducing Them Down to One Box!

Reduced this hive down to one box last week. Upon inspection today we can see that it was a good idea to reduce them according to their small population. With them only having one box to manage it will give them less room to keep warm when it gets cold in the upcoming months, they'll have less area to defend from pest and for now, while the fall nectar flow is happening, they will be able to se...

These girls are doing good. Gave them a new pollen patty. At this rate I'll have to overwinter them in a single box. We'll see how they build up over the next couple of months! Thanks for watching!

Checked food stores today. Bees have 4.5 frames of honey / nectar in the top box. Gave them some sugar syrup in case they need it. Bee stung my glove at the end. Not much activity these days in the hive. Saw the queen. Very spotty larvae. Hoping they pick back up in a couple weekes when it cools down.
Week 10 Hive Inspection - Overfeed, "honey bound"!

Very little capped brood this week. Saw plenty eggs. Kind of concerned I'm feeding them too much sugar syrup causing the hive to become too plugged for the queen to lay. I went in a day later to move some empty frames into the brood nest. Let's hope they don't swarm on us! Thanks for watching, see you on the next one!

Today we did the week 8 hive inspection and man it was hot! The queen was laying good and the bees were drawing out more comb up top. Filled up the frame feeder with sugar syrup too. Thanks for watching, see you on the next one!

How much higher does it raise the seat ?? From original position?
Bout 2-3 inches. I'd recommend some extensions on the levers. It's not too bad without the extensions though.

How long were the bolts you used to mount the tracks? Less than an inch long?
Pretty sure they were 1" long

Does it bottom out
There's a dial to make the ride stiffer or softer. I guess if you're a heavy person and hit a large bump it could bottom out possibly. Not likely to happen though.

Yes. Much better ride especially if you have tree roots or bumps in your yard
What is the model # of this seat. Can you install it without the sliding rails?
I did on my husqvarna to lower it. But the thing needs space under it so the suspension can move up and down so I cut out a hole in the seat platfom and bolted it directly to it the only thing is try to get it where you want it for comfort but it worked fine that way.

You shouldn't have the super on as you have very less populated hive! Plus feed them sugar syrup 2:1 (sugar:water)........

I got the same seat suspension kit for my Hustler Raptor SD 54 , it’s had a much smoother ride i Absolutely love it.
What gears you running? And is trans stock?
