I had a Norman shutters bypass plantation shutters installed in front of my sliding patio door. The track trolley rollers are not clamped tight and the shutters are not plumb. The installer didn’t leave me an adjustment wrench and overall did a poor job. I’m disappointed and need some factory support.

Thank you so much for such a helpful video! I am very grateful! You don’t just talk about your shutters or advertise a shutter or advertise an installer! So my issue is I am in a very rural part of the US and I had to travel hours just to meet with a designer to order my custom plantation shutters. They finally arrived yesterday and the parts and documentation of the installation is a maze to me. I spent 3k for this one window (the largest window in my house at over 9 ft diagonal) and to due me being so remote here in Montana I’m faced with installing these myself and eventually for my other windows too.

how can windows that are tilt- in be cleaned if there is a frame nailed inside?

This video does address the tension of the shade. It worked on my case. When you make strings longer, this is loosening, the drag of opening and closing the shade becomes smaller, this is easier to open and close. The other way around also worked. good luck to your case.

I have the z bullnose shutters to install this is very confusing. what are the plastic pieces that are shapped like an L for?

Not sure about using a nail gun. A bitch to remove the frame if the customer were to ever want to change style of shade or remodel.

i'm curious why do you need to center the frame. Since you have limited space and would not be able to see from the backside. How would you make certain that the window frame is centered with the shims.
