Hi everyone,
I’m back with another studio vlog! This time I’m giving you a first look at my upcoming collection, and a bit of the sculpting process. And clearly I’m very EXCITED about it (seriously, count how many times I say I’m excited in this video. It drove me crazy while editing this lol).
And what do we think of the new hair???
In my next video I’ll be doing something completely new for the first time, and it might have something to do with the sunflower blanket you saw in the first shot 👀
See you soon!

    I'm looking for a ceramic company in the United States that can produce several thousand pieces. Are you based in the U.S.? If not, do you know of a reliable company in the U.S. that could handle an order of this size? I would love to support a small business and help it get started. Thank you for your time. I never realized it would be so difficult to find a ceramic company capable of large-scale production.

    Hi from NY! 🗽I stumbled into this video and really enjoyed everything you shared. I’m from Kyushu - born and raised in Fukuoka, moved to Miyazaki when I was young, went to Beppu for my family vacation, had a school trip to Kumamoto, and took a day trip to Nagasaki with my friends, so it was sooooo cool to watch your journey. Love gorgeous photos and your walks. I used to climb on the hill in my hometown and loved looking over dreaming one day I was gonna move somewhere very far. So NY is my forever home now, but I miss Japan very much. (esp the food! 😆) Please go visit Kyoto and Nara… absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for creating this video! ❤️

      Thank you for watching 😊 We actually went late November/early December. We were shocked how mild the climate still was even going into December, it was a lovely time to go. 🍁 And yes, we travelled only with a carry on each 🤭 Every hotel we stayed at had great laundry service so it was very manageable. I hate carrying around big suit cases 😂 Made the train rides super easy too!

    • @Leei
      @Leei 28 дней назад

      @@thecarmeister Totally agree about the hassle of traveling with bulky luggage. Traveling light is best, but packing light and smart is an art form 😉 I am actually planning a Kyushu itinerary somewhat similar to yours, and currently have a couple of days in Kumamoto included. However, seeing that it’s a relatively short train ride from Fukuoka, I’m thinking to visit it as a day trip and spend the remaining time in other locations. What was your impression of Kumamoto? Do you think it is suitable as a day trip or is it better to stay there for a few days to get a fuller experience? Thanks!

    • @thecarmeister
      @thecarmeister 27 дней назад

      @@Leei I personally really loved Kumamoto and was glad we decided to stay two nights! It feels like a very laid back city and the castle area is gorgeous, I feel that you can already spend a lot of time there on its own. Suizenji Jojuen Garden is a must visit too. I think it's worth it to spend at least one night there. It's not a massive city, so you wouldn't need to stay any longer to explore the highlights. A day trip is definitely doable, but you might feel a bit rushed!

    Hello, just wanted to share my story. A few months ago I decided to start an art Instagram account. But when I post art no one sees them, so I did something stupid, and that is making annoying short reels. I did gained 10 thousand followers, till one day I came to the realisation that this is not what I wanted. I started posting art again, and of course, lost a lot of people. The numbers have kept going down ever since. After I left Instagram and made art I liked, I felt the joy of creating again. And I have learnt my lesson.

    I believe hat going viral is not strictly what everyone wants, but having a community that’s willing to stay and enjoy what you make. Going viral once is in many people’s minds heaps better than not being seen by anyone for so long that you give up, and I agree, as I’ve been trying to be successful for years by now and even though I just started my business, I already feel burnt out. It’s so hard, and the big corpos are not helping, so, sadly, going viral seems like the only way :’c

    • @thecarmeister
      @thecarmeister Месяц назад

      Absolutely, social media has become a place that’s geared towards viral moments. The algorithm is pushing content that is shareable, and it’s become increasingly more difficult to build an audience organically. It’s no wonder that so many people are hoping for that viral moment to happen. It takes a lot of joy out of the content creation for me :(

    Nice video, interesting story and cute aesthetic! For me personally going "viral" was the death of my channel&passion for asmr, cuz I didn't want it to be about languages, I was just experimenting... I tried to create more english mainstream content and it was useless cuz it wouldnt be promoted like the other multicultural videos. Now I decided to do language videos for the sake of money only but truly I am planning to abandon the channel and create a completely different one next year using all I've learned so far! So I guess it wasnt all for nothing...

    • @thecarmeister
      @thecarmeister Месяц назад

      So sorry to hear your passion was lost because of it. It can feel very suffocating when suddenly you feel that pressure to create a certain type of content. I’ve been trying really hard to break free from that (with very mixed results). It’s basically just a long road of trial and error. But at least I’m having a good time doing it! 😆 I hope your new channel will inspire you again ❤️

    Heyo! So glad to have your story shared with someone like me. I’m an artist in the Philippines who’s studying Multimedia Arts (videography, graphic design, some illustration techniques) and also after having gone in my first two terms I’ve also had a constant, thunderous battle between choosing to do digital art (which I still love doing, but I don’t actually have any experience or interest in doing logos or doing brand designs… I like making my own characters - I actually studied Animation in another school before I shifted to Multimedia Arts). I still haven’t graduated, but I can’t wait for the time that I do so that I can allot my time to learning about pottery and ceramics and also making my own polymer clay figurines of my characters. ❤ As of now, I’ve been taking the time to practice my crochet skills which is a hobby I’ve decided to pursue just at around the start of this year. I think it’s really a joy to work with something tangible in my hands, and it’s really beginning to color the way I view art and my own specific lifestyle! To add to that, I try to make my own homecooked meals because it’s pretty satisfying to work on something you want to consume and digest! Also, you’ve found yourself a new subscriber! I hope to make a RUclips channel of my own too, and I’m not at all discouraged that I’m not viral! I’m so glad I found an artist on the Internet that I can relate to. Hehehe

    Thank you for making this video!! I experienced something similar (though on a much smaller scale) recently and it’s been really overwhelming and scary, and it’s been hard for me to admit that to myself. I’ve been desperate to find another artist speaking about this feeling bc it feels really isolating - yes going viral/getting lots of views is something ppl strive for, but there are downsides to that much visibility and not enough ppl talk about it, esp among artists bc most of us want that visibility so bad in the first place. This video made me feel less alone in those feelings, esp in regards to being introverted and getting imposter syndrome - so thank you again!!

It's insanely overwhelming but also "addictive"? i kept obsessively checking if i had grown, and whenever the first wave stopped and new posts gained less traction it felt bad. Like i as a person was doing something wrong. I stopped enjoying what i did and posted only with the goal of appeasing to people. I quit a few months ago

    Holy shit what a good video! It actually sounds terrifying what you’re describing in regards to going viral. As an artist you want to develop and create what feels good, but with so much pressure from so many eyes on you, it makes a lot of sense if that gets overwhelming very fast. Love this vid. Dankjewel, je hebt me echt een nieuw perspectief gegeven! High five van een mede ceramiste

      Super lief! I think it takes a very strong person to be able to handle all of that attention at once, it was just too much for me at that time 🥲

    Oké maar ik dacht even dat Yuki ook een knuffel was 😂 totdat ze bewoog 😂 Super leuk om jouw vlogs te bekijken 🎉 en even herinneringen aan augmented reality ophalen.
