I Know Laws Are Laws!! But Both States Have To Get The Driving Laws Pushed Up!! To 18 Year's Old To 21 Year's Of Age To Drive!! Why!! Because That's A Early Death For 14 And 15 Years Of Age To Be Driving Car's!! That's Just Like Driving A Moving Machine 👎.. NO WAY!! That Driving Law Should Change 🛣️.
Kansas is more expensive but the police are not freaking clowns like they are in Missouri Missouri cops are freaking tyrants
Kansas is far better because Missouri is all getto. Cost-of-living is better in Kansas. Best place to live in Kansas City is Western Shawnee or Lenexa
Best part of Kansas City is anywhere outside of Kansas City Mo proper, too much crime and shootings. And no it’s not the Kansas City Missouri chiefs. They would leave without the Kansas side immediately.
What's the best tour for the money beer aside. I coming for the tour
JoCo appeals to the same type of people who vacation at EPCOT and then try to explain to you why that makes them more cultured and enlightened.
Missouri ( Red State) Kansas is a liberal blue state pretending to be conservative. Hands down Missouri.
Fuck Kansas
Truer words never spoken.
Calaveras sucks
If you are woke, stay the hell out of Missouri.
The Kansas side is the Mexican side. The Missouri side is the black side.
dont like either
So historically informative
I lived and worked on the KS side. However for partying and nightlife you cross into MO.
So we could say KS is more conservative than liberal MO?🇬🇾
Kansas and Missouri are Red state. The Kansas side of Kansas City is Red. The Missouri side of Kansas City is Blue. Most suburbs of Kansas City is Red.
@@dante5622 The Kansas side of the metro is blue
Missouri. Not even a question. I disagree that KS is more affluent. Maybe there are more high end luxury retail options but hard to convince me that Lees Summit is not every bit as affluent as Johnson County.
You clearly cant look up simple census information. Kansas side is much much wealthier
@@iknowdeweybrudda6564 but that’s a stupid comparison. You’re severing off the urban core of the metro area and making a claim about your supposed superior affluence. I can do that literally anywhere in America by severing off the enclave from the urban core. People from JoCo do this to discount the fact that there is an abundance of affluent areas on the Missouri side, including Loch Lloyd, Lee’s Summit, the Plaza, Parkville, Liberty, Lake Winnebago, Lake Lotawana, etc. I have lived on both sides of the line and don’t see what is so special about JoCo. The houses tend to be older and at a much higher $/sq ft. JoCo will always go on and on about their schools, but the schools in LS and Blue Springs are also fantastic and do the same trick in terms of getting kids into KU.
@@nickirmen358 lees summit is the equivalent of Olathe but smaller as far as income goes. You really think lee’s summit is comparable to leawood ? Or Loch loyd is comparable to hallbrook? That’s hilarious
@@nickirmen358 all those places have really small populations except lees summit btw
@@nickirmen358 why do you think 9 out of the 10 wealthiest zip codes in the area are in Johnson county ?
Ya. This place is a complete hole. Hate it, hate it, hate it!!!!
Not many jobs in kcmo compared to JOCO
Kcmo is High crime, bad Infrastructure, low density, etc
Kansas had Governor Kelly. You have to go to Michigan to get a worse female governor. They're not queens but they think they are. Grew up in Kansas, moved to Missouri, not going back. Don't live in kc though. Live in cities outside where you have a chance at having a conservative election. Ain't saying they're right is just one party control turns into a race to the bottom.
Kansas will elect a Republican Governor in 2026. Kelly only won due to poor voter turnout both elections.
Actually the Kansas City Chiefs are in independence Missouri
What ?
Kansas City Missouri may have all the fun stuff but they also have all the violence remember the ranked number eighth I believe in the nation for most violent cities
So you’re suggesting those of us in Lees Summit have more crime than JoCo. Mm’kay.
@@nickirmen358there’s no jobs in lees summit there’s 3X as many jobs just in Overland Park
@@iknowdeweybrudda6564 okay, if that’s your aim and you happen to work in OP, I guess so? But I also don’t want to live somewhere as sprawled and commercialized as Overland Park.
@@nickirmen358 lol it’s denser than kcmo
Grew up on the Missouri Northland side nothing has ever changed including the roads are crap moved to the Kansas side 30 years ago Roads are much better and they update their highway system driving both before you choose remember Lee Summit is not part of Kansas City it is it’s on city
Lee summit is a part of Kansas City and it's the same for Raytown, Liberty, Independence, Blue Springs and Grandview.
My dad’s great aunt was a Harvey Girl at Union Station 😊
You can argue for KS all you want but you cant hide Lawrence, JOCO, WYCO, and their state govt.
I used to live in Missouri and it was rough. I loved it but I hated it because I was able to you know I know like express myself a little bit more than I can where I'm at. Independence Raytown Blue Springs Lee's Summit a few other places not forget in between the Bloods and the Crips what we will raised around
9:15 - That was not the Kansas Speedway. That looks like some small town figure 8 track. I'm not sure where they get their stock footage but that was not accurate.
That's Lakeside Speedway. It been there for 50 years or so. (5615 Wolcott Dr Kansas City, KS) They are racing this Friday night at 7pm. Also, in Odessa Mo, you have the brand new I-70 race park. Oval racing and drag racing.
I Doordash etc in Lees Summit. There’s a lot of great family owned restaurants in the area.
I appreciate the information about the shuttlecocks. That makes much more sense. They annoy me less now lol. I never understood them before.
hahaha they do seem random and odd without an explanation.
They like shuttlecocks, in their mouths.
Live on the cheaper side. They’re too close to each other the shit doesn’t even matter..you’re essentially just driving from one side of town to the other..I’d do everything in Mo and live in Kansas 🤷🏽♂️
Avoid Wyandotte County / Kansas City KS on the KS side...... Avoid Jackson County / Kansas City, MO on the Missouri side..........Da' hood
Lees Summit Blue Springs Lake Lotwanna Grain Valley Oak Grove Independence Grandview Sugar Creek River Bend Leavasy Lone Jack Greenwood are all in Jackson County. Most of Jackson County is suburbs and country. Most people in Jackson County don’t live in Kansas City
Having lived in several states, I will say the people are very friendly and nice compared to other areas. However, there is absolutely nothing to do in Kansas and parts of Missouri compared to other states. Thanks for the video.
We didn’t move to Kansas city because of the high property tax
We didn’t hear you say a word about property tax
I've lived in Lee's summit my whole life, and I don't plan on moving anytime soon
Missouri got the legal WEEEDDDD selling points lol
😂😂
when it comes to taxes you did not say anything about real estate taxes
Hey, where are the best areas in KC for renting that are reasonably safe? Thank! (For reference I am a single guy in his 20s that would like a somewhat walkable area)
Hey Joseph. When you say “walkable”, what amenities do you want? Bars, restaurants, coffee shops, grocery, shopping, outdoor activities? Essentially, what are your interests? That can dictate what area might be best for you. Feel free to call or text me if you want to dive into this a little more. 816-591-2640
Do a live music video green lady, rythem and booze, rockstar
All the fun stuff is in MO . KS has Johnson county going for them but all the best parts of the city is MO.
Agreed! Although there is still plenty to do in Johnson county. The best part, no matter which side you live on, you can easily enjoy all that KC has to offer.
I wouldn't even consider living in Missouri. I live in Johnson County, Kansas, because of the quality of life. The property values speak for themselves. You get what you pay for. I work in Missouri, and when I drive to work, there's a dramatic difference, as soon as I cross the state line. It's like a bizarro parallel universe. I drive at night, and as soon as I'm in Missouri, I see at least two cars driving with no lights. Every drive to work, I see at least two police cars with lights flashing, and a fire truck. In Clay County, Missouri, there's apparently a law that says pickup trucks can put their license plate on the front of the truck, not the rear bumper. These are usually the Monster Mudder type of jacked-up 4X4s, who love to drive way too fast, and cut you off in traffic. There are certainly nice places to visit in Kansas City, Missouri, but it's FAR better to just plan to drive over the state line. It's not that far, you'll get there in no time.
I respect your opinion to a degree, but ultimately, everyone has different expectations about their lifestyle and where they choose to live. I've lived on the Missouri side my whole life and love it here! And love the ability to cross over the border to KS and enjoy the amenities Johnson County has to offer. Thanks Mark!
@@DoinLeesSummitno literally Missouri is like a 3rd world country compared to JOCO. It’s like another world
@@iknowdeweybrudda6564 I fail to see what is so special about Johnson County. A bunch of 30 year old homes packed together like sardines, crap traffic, and chain restaurants galore. It appeals to the same contingent of society that vacations at EPCOT and wants to preach to the rest of us about how cultured they are. Everyone in JoCo wants to beat their chest because they have achieved a decent middle class lifestyle, while also pretending they are somehow equipped to drop Martha’s Vineyard-level cash. There is a reason the “JO” license plate prompts a collective eye roll.
@@nickirmen358 better than getting shot. You seem upset
@@iknowdeweybrudda6564 How is anyone in LS (or most suburbs in Jackson, Platte, Cass or Clay Co) getting shot? You seem to be equating the urban core of KCMO with the entire side of the state line. Would be like me saying, well, I’m not going to JoCo because Wyandotte. Not upset. I lived in JoCo. I hated it. Contrary to JoCo residents’ belief, has nothing to do with my ability to afford living there. Besides, Kansas is a god awful state. Even your most affluent area is entirely dependent on Missouri for its economic existence and survival. Let’s just be honest about it.
Im residing in Hawaii right now, and planning to move to Kansas Manhattan, any suggestion for me or any tips sir?
Sure thing! Its all going to depend on what your lifestyle is, budget, and home criteria is. Feel free to give Curtis a ring and we can chat about it. 816-591-2640
Grew up near there, was also stationed at Ft. Riley in the Vietnam era..... Nice rural area. Manhattnn is a college town. My advice is find a place to rent and learn your way around. Find out what you like and don't like, then make long term decisions about buying a home.
Remember Manhattan Kansas is in the middle of nowhere but still a nice place
When they talk about the KC Chiefs it is Chiefs Kingdom, not Mo or Ks
Agreed! But we thought it was important to clarify due to the Chiefs being in the media more and more. I've heard several times, on major sports networks, them being referred to as the "Kansas City, KANSAS Chiefs" 😎
The Kingdom represents our global fan base, but don’t get it twisted, KCMO is the HOME of the chiefs
@@dameonwebb1316lol kcmo Is broke and crime filled
sooo which is better to live in overall sir
Tough to say, you can really live on either side, and still reap the greatness on both sides of state line. That's what makes our metro area unique. If you pinned me down to an answer, I will say MO side, just cause i grew up here :)
Kcmo is mostly detached single family homes and suburban sprawl with low density; more so than Overland Park and Lenexa. And over 50% of the metro areas office space is in Johnson county Kansas. Johnson county Kansas is the most densely populated and wealthiest county with over 613,000 people. Johnson county’s median household income is 96,059$ and kcmos is 60,042$. Theres more people living within 5 miles of downtown Overland Park than within 5 miles of downtown kcmo. Johnson county Kansas GDP is higher than Jackson County Missouri. There has been decades of white flight and urban decay from Kansas City Missouri. Kcmo has a big crime problem too..
Correct! All great information and valid points. In our video, we tried to paint a picture for someone considering moving to the area from out of state or other large downtown city. KC metro, overall, is growing, and bringing more jobs and opportunities. It will be interesting to see how the landscape of the city adapts and changes.
Power and light district is draining money from the city’s general fund it’s unable to pay for itself
Yep we retired out of the military and decided to settle in lees Summit
We were both raised here in LS, and now raising families of our own! So we're a little biased, but we love it!
Can’t wait for the new downtown baseball stadium!
Chiefs were good 1990 to the mid-2000s how old are you guys? Tony g was a big deal
No doubt! Those Chiefs teams were fun. I remember Tony, Priest, Dante. They were good, but by no means what we have now!
OMG, you guys need a sales copy writer... Say yes and I'll make it sound exciting and appealing. I know you guys tried hard, but ... boring!
Thanks for the encouragement! This is a “short” that is edited from the main video which is on our channel.
