Looks have always mattered especially for a women, the thing alot women understand if you are not ''beautiful'' you are not desired by men. Most women are not approached by men in general unless you are very attractive. Yes women who are avarage looking wil always have a man who is interested but women know that when they are in space of good looking women ''what they thought being beautiful was is just avarage looking''. Race also play a role, a so called bw who is attractive wil be at the shorter end of the stick if she is around attractive latina, european, mixed race women aswell. This is not my opinion but observation.

There is nothing bad about being bigger it you even if I don't have all of those privileges , I am not even past a size 12 and I still experience good things in life . Being thin doesn't equal confidence at all from my point of view . I have so many pretty clothes so I can't even relate to that part and rarely have problems finding clothes.

It's true, in the real world, "body positivity" is a lie. No one believes obesity really is beautiful and/or healthy, and even Lizzo's had enough of pretending it is. I'm about halfway in my weight loss journey and not even skinny but the difference in how men and women treat me is completely different.

Unfortunately this is a fact society does judge you base on your physical appearance , On the other hand it's good to stay in good health as much as possible and keeping a reasonable body can contribute positively to your health.

I lost 34 lbs and the attentiion from people especially men was crazy.

This!!! people treat you based on how you look. Sad but true
