Earl Strickland the undisputed best 9-ball player in the history of competitive billiards. Watching Dennis walking around the table looks like he’s got a knee problem.

To the commentator: I saw Willie play exhibitions and on TV. IMHO he would have given Efren a run for his money in any game. Willie had one series where he played the best snooker player from Great Britain (the one who had his own TV show in GB). They played straight pool, 8 ball, 9 ball, and snooker. Willie won all of the matches. I never saw him play billiards, but I think he did play three cushion as well. Like Efren and SVB, Willie started playing in a relatives pool hall at an early age. The big differences between Willie and today’s players was his upright stance and probably a 14mm tip. I would have payed big money to see Willie play Efren in their heydays.

The big difference between yesteryear guys to this era is covererage.... today you got cameras everywhere..... I read that Ralph Greenleaf was running over 200 plus balls on a 5 by 10 with pinholes for pockets I mean no one knows for sure but there are stories of guys back in the yesteryears playing nine ball and never missing a ball for 15 games straight.... I mean even kinda recently from the yesteryear is earl running 11 rax for a million or archer running 13 rax straight but what I'm saying is because the camera wasn't there we don't know.... what about Irving crane running 150 and out or luther Lassiter never missing a ball for a days worth of pool.... it sux these great accomplishments were not recorded... even mosconis high run that was recorded but not film recorded.... I've heard of stories of babe cranfield running 490z then taking lunch break while not missing to come back and run another 490 something.... that's over 900 balls of a run that in today a camera would have recorded them........ remember all they had in the day was pool, no phone no nothing but pool and that is all they did so imagine if we could go back in time to see the greats on dead stroke I do not doubt in my mind they would def he able to compete with all of these guys.... remember the struggle of the road back in the day compared to now..... all of these guys are spoiled with much better conditions and imagine if the guys from years ago could have had the new balls the better felt, lol jumping Stix which is a joke compared to the guys from then
