This channel started as a way for me to share lecture videos with my online students. I accidentally made one public one time and it got some extra views and comments. I'm still housing all of my course lectures here, but am opening up the channel in case my explanations are helpful for other psychology and behavioral science students.

you're the best tysm 💕 was so lost but i love that you kept tying back to the visual by using examples. thank youuu again
Thank you!!!!
🙏
Thank you so much for this!😄
This was great! Thank you!
Really helpful, thanks
What is the F? How can I tell if it's high? I get that the closer Sig is to 1 the least significant it is, right? and that 1 means they're exactly the same, if I'm not wrong
😊 explanation
Thank you so much!! Finally got it 😋
Thank you! I am really worried about this class, but the way you explain things really helps! If I pass this exam in 2 days, it will be because of you! I have not been studying at all. Thank you!
I am a little confused on 13:49 when you talk about the example being an association claim. What would make it a causal claim? I mean you said a third variable is possible, but if you ask about eating as a fail and grades and compare, isn't that possibly a causal claim? I still am lost on the difference between an association and causal claim.
@@Jane-lk5uh In order for a claim to be "causal" any sort of confounding variables need to be tested for- what she was saying is that since there could be other reasons for high/low test grades you couldn't say that "Eating is correlated with good test scores" without testing for other variables, meaning that that claim couldn't be causal. I hope this helps!
I use the formula and it didn't work when i put FALSE
Try using this method: ruclips.net/video/qLE2kN4pBUM/видео.html It uses a free statistics software called Jamovi that I have started recommending to my students. I don't get any sort of kickback or have any partnership or anything-- it is just a much more user friendly software that has an easier workaround for this specific issue. Hopefully that helps! :)
Thank you
Hello mom
you're not even using a google form though. If you were, you couldn't insert a column
This is if you have used the setting on Google forms where it automatically exports to a Google sheet. This is then editing/transforming the data in your completed sheet that your form exported to. If you were working a group and the sheet was locked for editing, you might have to make a copy for yourself to be able to edit.
In my classes I attach them to our Canvas pages. Unfortunately, I do not have a way to attach a dataset on youtube for others to download and follow along.
Where would I find the data file for this example?
I was following along with you in the PSPP example and typed in everything that you did and I did not have a chart at all in my output. The only thing that was different was the value labels for the Major... So I am not sure how you got that answer. Thank you!
It would be hard to troubleshoot without seeing a screenshot of your data setup. The only other thing I can recommend is that if you are having a hard time with PSPP, try JAMOVI. Here is a video on how to do a one-sample t-test in Jamovi-- it is also a free software. ruclips.net/video/alBhs6z7-Fg/видео.htmlsi=AF9xqu3r-UwRoYz-
hye i want to ask, at my output viewer it does not appear the mean, standard deviation and so on. How i want to solve it?
omggggg thank you I could not get it for the life of me but you broke it down very well

Does proofreading this way increase the AI content? Because I dont want to be accused of plagiarism?
Not if you tell it to specifically give you recommendations to improve your writing or content but tell it NOT to rewrite it for you. If it rewrites it for you or does the edits for you and you just copy/paste, that would be plagiarism. But if you have it give you feedback like "This was a run-on sentence" or "This paragraph needs edits to active voice" or "Your conclusion needs to integrate more of your ideas," it isn't inserting any words for you so it should not show up as plagiarism or AI generated content. That is one of the problems with both Grammarly and Quillbot right now (both excellent tools for proofreading), but if you just go through and click to accept all of the suggestions, it WILL flag the plagiarism checkers and AI checkers.
Great video, thanks for the upload
Thank you Dr. J❤
Thank you so much
Thanks teh!
Thank you for sharing this valuable video on installing Google Sheets Add-Ons, Dr. J! I appreciate the helpful walkthrough. For those looking to easily find and verify emails, consider using the Tomba Email Finder Add-On for Google Sheets.
This is an amazing explanation. Thank you, very helpful
I just thought of this with your video, if you have your students submit a draft before and after they had the help of the AI you might be able to see how they were able to utilize the tool better.
This is a really good idea!
Great explanation :)
Do you prefer JAMOVI over JASP?
I honestly haven't used JASP much. With more and more students using Chromebooks, I started looking for options that had the best Cloud interface, as the Roll-App workaround for PSPP can be kind of buggy. My top preference is SPSS, but that is just because that is what I trained on and used for several years. However, it is often cost-prohibitive for students.
Can i make one table for 6 categorical variables?

All thanks to Dr Abiola on RUclips for curing me from Herpes #drabiola🎉🎉
very clear, thank you!!!
Please i didn't understand the condition stimulus and conditions respones
thanks, I find your explanation very useful. What would you do with multiple answers in google forms that result in a cell with a lot of text separated by commas. What do you do to order and analyze that kind of data. Regards!
I also need to do this
Thank you so much.. u savd my life
Happy to help! :)
The best and very simple explanation I have come across so far. Thank you very much Daktari
I'm glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much Dr. J, great explanation!
You are so welcome!
Thank you Dr J ❤️ radhe radhe 🦚✨
You are very welcome! :)
I'm having a problem where I have a variable that is already numbers, but for some reason it's classed as ordinal in jamovi. When I try and run certain analyses it tells me to change it to numeric data using "as.numeric" but I can't figure out how to do this...do you have any suggestions?
I have understood much better !! appreciate your hardwork 🙏🙏
I'm glad it was helpful!
