I haven’t played Mario rpg so I searched to see who’s mallow and he looks exactly like the moogle😂 the build makes sense now. Brilliant use of spells and beautiful finish, and cool intro also

6:26 Shoutout to @RE_Prince_Vegeta for showing me Sephiroth can parry/counter Trine! This is also kind of a condensed Chapter 1 edit similar to OG FF7’s flashback. For this video, I did Chapter 1’s boss fight but with a build like OG Flashback Cloud in FF7! Please keep in mind that the original and Rebirth have two completely different battle systems so the equipment/materia effects are translated to fit that battle system. For example, Preemptive materia fits turn-based combat so the Rebirth version of Preemptive is First Strike which fits this action combat. *Bold highlights materia/playstyle of build* Cloud (OG Nibelheim Flashback) EQUIPMENT - *Buster Sword* - *Leather Bangle* (Iron Bangle) - *Supernatural Wristguards* (Power Wrist) MATERIA _Weapon_ *First Strike* (Pre-Emptive) That’s it! Nothing else! COMBAT SETTINGS _Ground_ Square - Disorder Triangle - Counterstance Circle - Focused Thrust X - *Blade Burst* (Blade Beam) _Air_ Square - Aerial Onslaught Triangle - Counterstance Circle - Firebolt Blade X - *Braver* (OG Braver) Edit: After watching this again, I realized something neat. This was NOT calculated on my part but even tho my Cloud is putting in work, my Sephiroth is actually progressing the fight. Sephiroth pressures the boss, staggers the boss, causes the boss to tumble down from the vantage point, and finally ends the boss with the limit. Feels very “canon” to me 😂

I’ve never played Chrono Trigger but this was some really nice gameplay. Matching the characters’ stats and build to a different game seems like a really cool concept. Also great editing!

I’ve been wanting to do this video since I learned Rebirth had synergy skills/abilities! I gave the party stat boost materia that their character builds are based off of, like as an example Crono’s highest stats are strength and stamina so I tried to reflect that. Or how his best weapons increase crit rate so I have Luck Up for Cloud. I did have a stricter/truer build for them like making magic moves AOE with magnify but since I wanted to do the Kujata fight, I tweaked them to make it more boss focused. Same reasoning as to why Aerith doesn’t have healing materia even tho Marle heals. I didn’t want to purposely get hit just to show that if that makes sense. I would definitely have “truer” builds for them for an actual play through tho. Feel free to change it up to your preferences! *These builds are just for fun. Last time I do Titan! He’s the only boss that actually takes more than one status infliction which was important to showcase Blue and Green mage builds. These builds were inspired by the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance series! Also shoutout to ​⁠@TBoomGaming who did some Blue Mage build runs! They inspired me too. Had fun setting these up. Only thing is, I learned that Red and Green mage builds don’t have a lot going on actively since they feel more like support so I focused more on controlling Cloud bc Blue (Enemy Skills) require more timing on executions like Gorgon Shield. I tried using all offensive enemy skills but forgot to use Self Destruct. Edit: So this was a bad showcase for Aerith as a Red mage. Red mages are supposed to be balanced between Black and White magic. I didn’t use any white magic. What was _supposed_ to happen was I would have Aerith cast Reraise on Cloud and then Cloud would use Self Destruct and then he’d come back to life. But you already know I forgot to use that ability. Titan also dies fast with this team set up so no time to do it! 😂

This part of the chapter had so much potential to be horrifying, but they slapped on the “Hurry” song for most of it. Which makes sense with the plot, but kills the atmosphere! So I took it out. I don’t have any specific builds for anyone here other than Barret having darkside materia. Everyone has initial weapon equipped.
