Nice Video i hope you make more
I wonder how often one of those hydraulic pipes gets ripped off when snagged?
Not as often as you would think I have done it a few times but just have to watch them a little
We had one of these back in the 80s lol
HAHAHAHA👎👎👎
No frost in the ground here either but it’s on a rock pile so can’t go to deep. Yeah I lost power for a bit last night
nice work try an do that in the old bell. no frost in the ground here hope your making out ok
we just got the 3 tap and power is out
Cesar🧔🏻
How many cut tree per day ?
I run a 4 wheeled bucncher and cutting some very poorly managed/planted pine , my thumbs hurt at then end of the day from bunching so many trees to make a drag
Needs more counterweight.
batman in the logging business now?
Now thats a vid My Partner. Im from Middle Ga. Im a pure skynyrd music fan. But open minded as can be. Play that Rock n Roll and Ill watch the vids and jam with u! My Bros and I have logged together for 33 years. I’ve cut down a tree or two. Probably cut down for us 15, 16 years. Whatever I needed to run u know. But running that saw-head,,,,, was nt even invented when we started,, was a thrill. Still is now when i get a chance. I would put a cassette of Jimi, electricladyland, or pearl jam in the box, watch the sun come up and the tractors pulling. Black smoke rolling like coal, hit that saw button to On. Strike a match to a noFilter of mine. And hotalmighty. Let them fall. Aint talkin pulpwood neither. Saw timber. And rock that baby all day long. What memories. Good ones. So Tighten Up Bros. Lets Go Get Another Load!! AC
Nice yeah it’s a fun way of life most of the time! I’m a big skynyrd fan too been trying to learn some of there songs on guitar ain’t come close yet but maybe some day. I listen to about everything for music as long as it’s old everything from bluegrass to Metallica and everything in between. Not a fan of new music tho
Thats about the way 90 percent of My Videos end Bros. AC
Yup lol I should get a actual phone mount instead of sticking it in the door but no more vids than I take I never think to get one
What make is the buncher? That a Gilbert head? How's it do?
It’s a cat buncher with a propac head. It does good it’s the only track buncher I ever ran so I don’t have much to compare to but I’m happy with it for the most part
how's the login been we sure as hell have had one effed up winner my dirt road to my house has already let go twice this this year and I have not been able to get out to haul my traps yet this year with the temperature is going up and down lot of wind
The logging side has been going good been in some halfway decent wood and decent ground. I am sick of the freeze thaw crap we been getting tho I’m ready for summer
Most fun I've had as a operator was helping out a good friend of mine last summer,he asked if I would come run one of these,it took me a couple minutes to figure it out but after that I had a blast turned on the radio kicked back and started cutting, but after 2 days I was ready to get back in my motor grader and build roads that buncher beats you up running over stumps and old logs
👍
That’s gotta be super hard to learn and discouraging as hell.
There is a lot going on for sure
I bet you miss the 3 wheeled Bell 😂
Not so much lol I do still have it but I’ll probably sell it
I know nothing about that head but sounds fast on picking back up on speed are you going to be chipping the trees?
Yes most of the wood on this job will be chipped. Some will be firewood or logs but 90 percent chips
Is that a Gilbert head? Saw recovery time is excellent.
Propac head. Yes recovery time is fast even with the fairly dull teeth here
Gilbert head? What machine?
Propac head 501hd cat
Yes feeding chipper is one of my favorite things to do! Although preferably with my hood crane! I don’t really like using the self feeder on the chipper but for a small job like this it works ok tho. Feeding with the buncher worked better than I thought it would tho lol
I like it👍👍👍👍🍺 do what you have to to get the job done 👍 when I used to work for Hawkes tree service my favorite was feeding the chipper with a Crain I always found that fun
dont have any of those in my area very cool, doesnt look like it is a very comfortable ride
Not many here either. Yeah it’s not very comfortable that’s why I bought the track machine
That's all that's used around me all the easy wood is gone nothing but mountains left to log now
the song under pressure is perfect that's how I feel my boat's been out of water for 8 days now and we got record high prices and I can't haul my traps till I get my boat fixed parts coming tomorrow 🤞
Man that sucks getting parts is a killer these days hope you get going soon!
@@06lbzduramax3500 sounds like I should have everything tomorrow probably drove by you today i drove from harpswell to Hancock today like 5 hours on the road. r e Thomas is helping me out I think I'm dealing with the right people just got screwed with the holiday weekend
That’s good it is always a bummer being broke down during busy season. Yeah you definitely did I’m cutting in Stockton off a side road about 7 miles from the bucksport bridge
Josh this year has been a problem for many guys. Btw break downs and bait issues. Catch is good and prices sure are at a record. I hope the best for you buddy and stay safe out there.
@@joedavidson6556 now if I could just find crew so I could use my permit. whatever I'll stay inside and do it by myself and get by. I can get through 265 being in unloaded and still be in time to pick the kids up from school so that counts for something 👍👍👍
whoever is running it looks pretty smooth not that I have ever run one 👍👍👍👍
Thanks I’m getting better all the time I still have a lot to learn tho
shit you get a new toy 🤔
Yeah I bought it last winter the bell did a good job for me but limited on the ground I could cut. I really like this machine just not big on the payment it came with
That's pretty cool
A Bellerbuncher!
Wow, that looks to be a very nice machine. Looks to be in really nice shape. Throw some more videos of it up! Deutz diesel? I’ve always wanted one of those to compliment the tree farmer
Yeah it’s been pretty good to me I’ve put a fair amount of money in repairs on it but it’s also cut a lot of wood for me. Ok I’ll try to remember to take some videos I only think of it every once in awhile. It has a Cummins. The smallest ones like the super t and ultra t had deutz engines
old machines still have their place and work if maintained 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yeah for sure. And I’d sure hate to have a big payment on shiney machines with no more wood than I’ve been able to sell this summer/fall. If I can figure out how to mount my phone in my crane I’ll do a video of chipping a load sometime
@@06lbzduramax3500 same with me on payment this year I caught more lobsters in my last boat than this one with no payments I'm a joke this year catch wise. but I think it about to start in the bay for the fall run I'll find out tomorrow I might even take a video a roll of duck tape holds my phone pretty well
Josh Welner what do you think is the cause for it being slow this year are there just less lobsters?
@@06lbzduramax3500 no no no the amount of small hard shell and v-tail is huge the biomass is doing well it's looking like it's just a late year for them. 3days ago I had my Best single trap catch of the year in about zero water at half tied that tells me they are going to be late
and a lobster can bury itself in the mud or hide in the rocks for up to the a year without feeding or shedding 🤷 so hard telling. but there is definitely a lot more pressure on lobsters because the state has shut down all kinds of fisheries and pushed everybody into lobstering 🤦
nice 👍👍👍
LoL just watch a video on these things couple weeks ago I think it was coptop3 yours looks like it is it good shape I've never seen one
Yeah I saw cottontops video as well. I think they were more popular in the south. I’ve had it a little over 3 years now I bought it in Syracuse ny. It does pretty good it’s no track buncher but it was all I could afford maybe someday I’ll get a track machine
@@06lbzduramax3500 I'd love to see it In action maybe I need to take a bird hunting trip
Josh Welner yeah you are more than welcome to come check it out! I usually only run it a couple days a week and im in the crane processing and chipping the rest of the week I’m working in Belmont for the time being
@@06lbzduramax3500 may have to take you up on that at some point. but I have focus on my lobster traps right now bait isn't staying on and I think they are about to start soon it's been a very slow year catch wise for me hopefully make up for it this fall🤞 I'll definitely keep it in mind I appreciate that 👍
Josh Welner yup anytime! I hope things pick up for you soon!
Not Bad for a little tricycle thing
Not too bad!
Look forward to some more videos. tks
Nice machine, good to see more Maine content!
