    the whole thing can be explained with "freedom" would it be okay if we had a society where you can only drive to places that are partnered with your car's producer or leave it as it is where you can take your car offroad and have the possibility to crash and die? apple had a monopoly over what apps could go on their phones and every app developer HAD to pay their fees or else bye bye, just because theres a bigger chance of someone getting a malware from sideloading it doesn't mean its a guarantee, people drive cars while knowing that theres a chance to get a flat tire. Lets get this straight and out of the way, apple pay, face id and siri have nothing and i mean NOTHING to do with apple having a strict controll on the apps that can go on IOS, apple pay uses nfc, face id uses the cameras wich are both hardware and siri has been there since iphone 4s in 2011 thats when it was integrated but it was an app first in 2010 when they bought it. Opening IOS to sideloading and other markets will not cause any damage to IOS as software are a operating system, apple's IOS and appstores are a monopoly, just cuz there are other OS's out there it does not mean that the apple appstore is not a monopoly. A monopoly isnt only when there are no other choices overall, they have a monopoly over the choice of what apps to download on the phone there is NO competitor on the iphone wher you can get your apps from (normally), not everyone has money nor want to change phones since its easier to just bear with it after spending 1k for a phone, if you get an EV with no chargers nearby you wont go and get another car that can take gas you'll just drive to any charger you find. If the only distinction you can see between android and IOS is that apple has controll over the apps available on your phone then you might want to look into it further. This is a very bad example for this one and you could just ignore it but when slavery was made illegal wasn't it also a one size fits all? should companies that used slaves come back and say that the ban affected their profits or other parts of their business? billing a bilionaire company a large sum means it can't brush it off like when a millionaire gets a 2k fine. Not everything is political. Making the rules on what gets on is not the same as stopping it from being a monopoly, there still isnt another option and apple hasn't had a innovation since (ill be generous) the apple vision pro's, they added an AI after google and samsung did, the video was made with a lot of misinformation and made for the exact reason to push the idea you had in mind before writing the script, you keep on saying that opening IOS will compromise security, look at windows you can use .exe files and install programs, can you get a malware? YES cuz you have the freedom to choose what to download and install and you doing a bad job at checking what you download is not window's problem! kinder surprise eggs are illegal in the us cuz kids there are so dumb they'll swallow the egg whole do you thing IOS users are dumber? you have the OPTION to download other stuff which doesn't mean you have to download everything under the sun, use your brain a little and think before downloading like how you think before buying, you think about its quality compared to the price, you look at how its designed and see if its worth it, with files you can check them for malware and adware.

      Thank you for your perspective, Sussy. I do agree with some of your points, especially regarding Apple’s reduced pace of innovation compared to the Steve Jobs era. Since Jobs’ passing, Apple has focused more on refining existing products rather than introducing groundbreaking ones. Under Tim Cook, Apple has emphasized operational excellence and expanding its services, with notable but less disruptive innovations like the Apple Watch and AirPods. However, when it comes to security, especially comparing iOS with Android, it’s important to consider how both ecosystems have evolved. Apple’s closed system provides a more controlled and secure environment for users, limiting the ability to install apps from outside its App Store. This walled-garden approach means that malware incidents are far fewer on iOS compared to Android, which has a more open system that allows third-party app stores and easier sideloading, increasing the likelihood of malware. For instance, Android users have been more susceptible to malware like the Joker virus, whereas iOS has had fewer but more high-profile vulnerabilities, such as the Pegasus spyware. As you mentioned, not all users are as tech-savvy as you are. Apple’s ecosystem caters to a wide range of users, and for many of them, the added security and simplicity of iOS are reassuring, even if it feels restrictive. Android’s open nature does offer more freedom, but this comes with risks, especially for users who may not be as aware of the security implications. Android users often delay installing security patches due to device fragmentation, leaving them more vulnerable to attacks. So Apple may not be pushing innovation as aggressively as before, but its focus on security and user protection continues to offer substantial value, particularly for those less comfortable managing their own security measures. It seems like your comments are blending two separate points-security issues and innovation-and this could be leading to some confusion. These are two distinct aspects of Apple’s strategy. Again, as mentioned earlier, when it comes to security, Apple’s walled-garden approach offers more control over the ecosystem, which results in fewer vulnerabilities compared to more open systems like Android. Apple’s strict control over the App Store and its regular updates ensure that devices remain more secure, which is one reason why it tends to limit sideloading and other forms of customization that could introduce security risks. On the other hand, innovation is a different matter. Apple was known for groundbreaking products under Steve Jobs, but many feel that innovation has slowed since his passing. Tim Cook’s Apple focuses more on refining existing products and delivering consistent, incremental improvements rather than introducing revolutionary new products. The company has introduced products like AirPods and the Apple Watch, but these haven’t had the same impact as the iPhone or iPad did in their time. Mixing these two points can lead to confusion because Apple’s security strategy (maintaining a closed ecosystem) is often viewed as restrictive, but it’s primarily meant to protect users. Meanwhile, the innovation issue speaks more to the company’s product evolution and market direction. They are related only in the sense that both contribute to Apple’s overall strategy, but they address very different aspects of the business. Thank you again for your insightful comment, Sussy!

      @jaywalker11 as an android user I'll say that delaying the update is only cuz most updates are worthless, imagine having to wait for your phone to update every month or so without anything changing and the comment was written weirdly because I tried to say something for every argument that came while watching the video, I'm not tech savy and I have downloaded and installed a bunch of dumb stuff but the most damage I've ever done to the phones i used was get adware wich was annoying but not as bad as malware, the bad thing is some of the adwares were from the Google play store , I'd look up a game I saw someone play on yt thinking I could play it on the phone ( I was a child at the time so I can forgive myself) and download the game if it was there but the app wouldn't show up on the home page or anywhere else and I'd forget about it while it gave me ads, I believe the ios has been walled off up untill now potentially for multiple purposes, security is probably one of them but profiting is a even bigger one, 30% from all sales from apps wich means that app developers that want to be on IOS have to give out 30% of revenue to apple and with sideloading as a option there will be apps moving to appstores that charge less.

In any case, the user only needs the apps he wants, he doesn't care about the thousands of apps he doesn't want. • @jaywalker11
      @jaywalker11 Месяц назад

      Thank you for your thoughtful response. I completely agree that the issue isn't about having thousands of apps, but rather having the key apps that users rely on daily. In Huawei's case, their app ecosystem could indeed be a limiting factor when competing globally, especially if the most frequently used apps aren't available. While their hardware is top-tier, many users base their purchasing decisions on whether their go-to apps are easily accessible. For Huawei to become a dominant player beyond China, they may need to actively pursue collaborations with major app developers or improve compatibility with globally popular apps. Otherwise, even with their cutting-edge technology, the lack of these essential apps might constrain their growth in non-Chinese markets. It’s about balancing a robust hardware experience with a functional and appealing software ecosystem.

    내용이 귀에 쏙쏙 들어오네요!! 쉬지 않고 영어로 말을 계속 할 수 있는 세무님의 능력이 부럽습니다. 들으면서 내용을 한번 요약해보았습니다 ㅎㅎ 러닝화와 워킹화는 그 사용 목적이 다르기 때문에 둘의 구조적 특성은 완전히 다르다. 러닝화는 반발력과 가벼움 그리고 유연함에 중점을 둔, 강한 충격을 흡수하며 달리기 위한 신발이고, 워킹화는 단단하고 안정적이며 상대적으로 무거운, 편안하게 오랜 시간 걷기 위한 신발이다. 따라서 신발의 설계 목적에 반대되는 활동을 하게 된다면 피로가 누적되며 활동 중 불편함을 느끼거나 부상 위험이 생길 수 있다. 하지만 나이키 페가수스는 두 가지 활동에 다 사용할 수 있게 설계되었다. 신발 전장에 적용된 줌 에어 포켓은 폼 소재와 조화를 이루어 달릴 때는 반발력과 반응성을, 걸을 때는 부드러운 쿠션감을 제공한다. 폼 소재 자체도 안정성을 제공하고, 복원력도 탁월하여 오랜 시간의 활동에도 쿠션이 죽지 않고 유지된다. 내구성이 높은 아웃솔이 신발의 앞뒤로 적용되어 있고, 여기에 파인 홈의 구조 덕분에 신발이 발을 따라 유연하게 움직여 걸을 때나 달릴 때나 두 발의 동작이 부드럽게 연결되도록 한다. 이런 장점을 가지면서도 신발이 무겁지가 않아 발의 피로도를 최소화할 수 있고, 케이던스와 스트라이드를 일정하게 유지하는 데 도움이 된다. 내구성과 다재다능함. 걷기와 달리기 둘 중 어떤 것을 선택하더라도 믿을 만한 퍼포먼스를 제공하는 한 켤레의 신발, 나이키 페가수스를 설명하는 두 단어이다.

    I've used a Huawei Fold for a year. Having to do work arounds to get RUclips and other PlayStore apps is annoying, but the ability to simply unfold the phone to view material that can't be adequately zoomed for close viewing helps make up for that.

      @@folag It sounds like you've had a mixed experience with the Huawei Fold. The lack of PlayStore apps can definitely be frustrating, but it's great to hear that the foldable screen's zooming capabilities make up for it in certain scenarios. It's always a balance between hardware perks and software limitations. Do you think Huawei could improve their app ecosystem in the future, or do you feel like the trade-offs are worth it for the device's unique features?

    • @folag
      @folag Месяц назад

      Huawei's ecosystems must be satisfactory to millions of Chinese consumers. The company almost certainly has the ability to create a satisfactory ecosystem in our terms, but will continue to struggle for as long as the US government has it in for Huawei. Pity, because its newly launched tri-fold and other good stuff they may have in the works would be ideal for my purposes. Having a foldable tablet in my pocket with all the Google stuff in it would be one helluva nice thing. I frequently receive memos and other documents that I need to read on the go. That pocket tablet would be even better than the much smaller not quite a tablet that I now have.

      Thank you for sharing your opinion. I’m curious to know what you think about the following. This is not to oppose your view; rather, I would like to hear your perspective. Without the alliance with Renault, it's highly likely that Nissan would have gone bankrupt in the late 1990s. By 1999, Nissan was burdened with over $20 billion in debt, stagnant sales, and a shrinking global market share, having made significant operational missteps, including maintaining overextended production capacity, a bloated workforce, and failing to innovate competitive models against rivals like Toyota and Honda. The company's debt levels were unsustainable, and it lacked the liquidity to invest in new technologies and products. Nissan’s operational inefficiencies, such as too many underutilized factories and outdated practices, further strained its resources, while its uncompetitive product lineup led to declining sales in key markets. Renault's capital infusion and the leadership of Carlos Ghosn, who implemented the Nissan Revival Plan, were critical in cutting costs, reducing debt, and revamping the company’s lineup. The market conditions of the 1990s, including economic recessions and increased competition, made Nissan particularly vulnerable. Without the Renault-Nissan Alliance, Nissan would likely not have had the financial or strategic resources to survive.
