Nothing sounds more satisfying than starting up an old vintage aircraft engine
He lands that boat better than I do a 14’ aluminum. Tres biens
Very nice!!
Magnificent. I always wanted to ride the one in Coeur d Alene, and never imagined how that AC would end
Nice. Can'beat a radial. Looks and sounds far better than a turbine
Sweet memories flying the otter in Ungava and beyond in QC.
❤ good
Beautiful plane, sounds amazing
Devrais se lire Lac Tibériade à Ste Véronique. M.Normand Ouellette et son personnel sont très professionnels. Bon vol
Prachtig!
My dream aircraft. Radial Otter all day.
Just when you thought a Beech 18 couldn't get any sexier...floats...🔥
Incredible piece of machinery!
I love the way the pilot was so considerate of the engine. Never went to full throttle all the way through the take off. Obviously respecting the age and cost of an engine rebuilt if he wrecked it.
Is it just me or does the Otter just look wrong on wheels but so right on floats?
I agree.
That plane looks rather heavy. Back of the floats are almost underwater.
I dream to control it...🤔👀
VISIT GUJARAT
Lovely water baby
Holy mackerel!
I loved the piston Otter, balanced controls, easy to fly, miss it.
I want one sooooooo bad! Hopefully soon.
Super old craft.
Float planes are the best planes!
Such beautiful scenery.
Beautiful !
The pilot should revisite the operation manual for better starting procedure. And a safe operation learned at Trans-Provincial Airline in Price Rupert, Canada, operating most of the time over the ocean, was to maintain take-off power until reaching 85 mph in case of a sudden and complete loss of power. It is the best way to maintain at least some control if you do not have any power. This will help you land the plane instead of crashing it. The engine is built to give you such power for such period of time and he is less loaded with less pitch and more RPM. Think about it... Also avoid banking the plane after take-off without reaching a very safe speed. Have a safe flight.
Was there a couple weeks ago and took some photos of this DHC-2. What a beauty!
Fuselage top has an airfoil profile!
The sound of De Haviland Beaver with sound of a loon in the distance, the IS Canada.
So much quieter than a Beaver lifting off.
So, There are traditional radial engine Otters, and turboprop Otters? So like those planes that Kenmore Air has, that look like this one from the windshield back , but are turboprop, Those are Otters too, right? Wrong?
What engine how much hp and what do you have too do to mount floats
Old things still work perfectly, the progressives want to end that, hence the harder to find 100LL.
Nah, get the lead out completely- terrible stuff.
Looks heavy
Beast of an airplane
Beautiful Otter
took a buddy's C170 down there this fall and dropped it off, great place ruclips.net/video/jkFsI3BcR0Q/видео.html
What a great air craft.... It's bringing my memories in '60, me (when I was 6 years) & my family fly from Java to Borneo (Banjarmasin) due to my father duty. It's time that I never forget, usually me fly with DC3 but that time we fly with Otter, beautiful flight. 💕
sturdy, haha yeah if the damn thing will even crank up gees id be scared to risk my life a piece of flying junk that will hardly start up
You over flowing with estrogen or what?
Nice docking!
Don't forget the toe brakes don't work on a float plane
This is a DHC-2 beaver, isnt it?
No dhc3 otter
@@jackengine2867 yeah sorry i figured out that it indeed is a dhc3 otter, but its the piston version.
Love that Beaver....👌👍👍👍👍
Norseman.
Close.😄
Thanks for a pleasant trip in The Worlds BEST Bushplane ever 👍🌷❤
Flow on this and their turbo otter many of times. Great to see. Thanks
Que belleza...tremendo avión y con flotadores está espectacular.. saludos
it occurs to me that... that's a lot of engine.. for a fairly small airplane... hey nonny nonny... there's a philosophy that says... brakes are for sissies... know what I mean?
my uncle Paul used to fly smoke jumpers in these... I learned how to cuss from his daughter, my awesome cousin Paula... bless her heart ❤
next... I probably need one of these... fer sure
I make a beautiful red and yellow cedar wind vain of the beach 18 on floats, there was a couple used for Bush planes here on north vancouver island years ago .
