Angelo Di Candia I believe all of the toys story rooms have been refurbished but I am not sure. We had pretty good luck calling the hotel a few days before our trip and requesting an updated room.

Dan Baar to each their own. I know what you’re saying but in person they felt like a premium hotel to us. We agree more theming would be great though.

In all the room tours I've watched of updated rooms and hotels, it does look like they are trying to tone down the Disney theming, which I agree was part of the fun at staying at a Disney property. I do like the non carpeted floors though. This cuts down on alergies, and in a place as humid as Florida, probably on mold too. The doors in place of the curtains would be easier to clean as well. I think they were trying for a more sanitary environment, which I find more modern, but I can see how that could give a clinical impression. Love the space the murphy beds give. Makes me wish the other bed was a pull down murphy bed sofa combo (not the sleeper sofas some of the suites have). There would be a lot of toom on those value rooms then. But that could make it hard to figure out where to store the luggage I guess.

I actually do agree with you! I love when the rooms have extreme theming especially when staying at a value resort. We have stayed at moderates and it's just a regular room with very little theme. I love the new room, without the carpet and better lighting and the privacy door but yes, give me more theming!

I love that they removed the carpet. The rooms were clean but rugs do not feel the cleanest!. I wish they did not tone now the Disney theming. Give me more Toy Story theme in here!

Twodoombuggies I can see where people are coming from with the allergies thing and the cleanliness thing but if the carpet is maintained properly it shouldn’t actually be a problem. Hard floorings can also be extremely dirty and cause allergies to act up just as much as carpet if they aren’t maintained well. I like the Pop Century remodelled rooms, they’re a Warner white in colour, and the lights are warmer, the floor fits in with the colour scheme and everything. But here it’s too black and white, and I’ve spent the best part of the last 17 years in and out of hospital, it reminds me of that. I like the space the murph bed gives but I’d be too scared to sleep on that and so would my son. If you look up the Merlin attractions in the UK, look at Chessington’s hotel rooms and Legoland’s hotel rooms in particular, my favourite ever hotel room was a Kingdom room at Legoland. And there wasn’t a speck of dust anywhere! Which when you see their rooms is no easy feet

DisneyCircusGirl our cousin stayed on the Murphy bed and said it was very comfortable! I’m sorry you’ve spent so much time in and out of the hospital. I hope you’re doing well now. I see where you’re coming from. Sadly people now want the “sleeker” look. I love when things are cartoony! That was one of my dislikes about staying at Port Orleans Riverside. It wasn’t themed enough!

Britney Hi! We requested the Toy Story section because it’s our favorite Pixar movie. We were not aware that the rooms were remodeled. We have some family members staying in Toy Story section and their room is remodeled as well. Definitely call and see if they can accommodate. Hope this helps!

We stayed at Caribbean beach last year before the renovation and it was very nice but it sounds like all of the rooms are getting upgrades. We'll have to check out that one next time we are down here.

Twodoombuggies for us it was 6 years ago that we stayed, so I’m sure they’ve had upgrades since then!

Oh no! I am sorry to hear the C3PO shoes are painful. These are very comfortable and not painful. Try wearing the C3PO ones for an hour at a time to stretch them.

Hi! We are not sure yet. We are headed to Walt Disney World in September. We will make sure to upload a video if it does. It should. So far each of the 45th Anniversary MagicBands have had special lights and sounds.

It wasn't making any sounds or special lights on our 8/1 or 8/3. The CMs at Magic Kingdom had said they hadn't seen them doing anything yet either. My husband's Tiki Room one was working though.

Did it end up making a sound?
