I went to The Lexing to see Charlie Stone and this was the headline band. The singer really confident and charismatic. He reminds me a bit of Lux Interiors....don't you think ?!

The Lexington is one my favourite venues in London. Here's Charlie Stone and The Actual Band. She (if I'm allowed that pronoun) introduces it. It's probably from the CD-only album "Here comes The Actual Band". I bought months ago but have had time to listen.

Miki Benrenyi Trio at The Lexington, London September 4th 2024. The promoters had put "The" before MB3 and it was crossed out. There were lots of jokes at old peoples expense. I wasn't feeling it and left after this one. Support from Keeley, always a joy.

She announced the song title and said it was the last one. I scrambled to get the camera and hold it still. She had the audience eating out of her hands, as usual, clapping along as directed (except me, I was filming...deja vue ?)

Daiistar at The Moth Club, London Aug 28th 2024

I saw them back May and was most impressed. They're doing a bigger UK tour, and I promised Misty I'd find them somewhere. You have to buy band merch at their gig (with cash).

Barbican Estates came from Yokohama to live in London. Here live at Moor Beer Vaults Sunday 25th August 2024. It's 11:24 and holding the camera above the audience made my arms sore.

London 3-piece Color Me Blood Red are school friends from Durham who have been on the London Scene for years. New LP coming soon.

The Macbeth, Hoxton Aug 23

London three-piece Colour Me Blood Red live at The Macbeth, Hoxton. They had an EP out on Fuzz Club last year. Fourth time I've seen them and they're getting closer to the recorded sound. They tell me there's new material soon.
