Love this game. I'm happy to see you play it.
This one and SH3 are nearly tied as my favorite SH game. SH3 wins out, but this is a super close second and I'm excited to play through it again.

yes they are. And they only get worse! If you are going that route, check out the HD retexture pack. It really makes the game look good.
Soundtrack is something else, can’t get enough of it. I’m gonna have to emulate the game now thanks man for reminding me of this gem
You are welcome. This soundtrack is one of my favorites of all time, and might be one of my favorite of the shin megami tense series.
I like this game a lot. I never did beat 2 though.
DDS2 felt different than the first one and I could see why folks had a hard time getting through it. I remember having to slog through the last dungeon just to finish it out.

I wish I could play this game on a CRT when it first came out. It has so many cool ideas.
Absolutely. It's funny because now, things like the volume bar and input change are so different, but circa 2002, those were EXACTLY how tv interfaces looked and it really messed with you.

Vyse gets +1 spirit at lvl5, 25, 45, etc. Aika and Fina get theirs at lvl 17 and 18, 37 and 38, etc. Also, later in the game you can get an accessory called the Black Map that prevents monsters from running (especially useful once you can get to Looper Land.
The thing with learning magic is the more party members have the same element equipped, the more magic xp is gained.
My VERY first RPG. During the 2 years my Dreamcast worked I beat this game least THREE times a month.

The Crissaegrim is absolutely not a cheat. Just a great time saver! Drops off the Schmoo (ghosts) in the reverse library. I know I've spent way too many hours in playthroughs going for that weapon...
Funny! I just finished up my first ever playthrough of Aria of Sorrow earlier this week, myself. A worthy sequel to SoTN.
