Leading on from the 'Wandering Images' photography page this channel will be of short video clips of my local Wildlife. They will be captured by a camera trap that I will be putting out locally hoping that it will give a different perspective on the wildlife I enjoy photographing so much, capturing different behaviors which can sometimes be difficult to capture on a DSLR camera. At the moment this is all still very new to me but I'm really looking forward to a new approach to capture my local wildlife. I hope you enjoy!
The sound of autumn...
A fresh morning with a layer of mist and, of course, a bellowing red deer stag. I love these Autumnal mornings.

A very rare capture on one of my camera traps recently, in a Pine Martin! I'm still yet to see one in the flesh, but I'm thrilled to capture one on my camera trap.

A pair of fallow deer antlers found on farmland. A new location scouted and paid off with this pair of fallow antlers, which were clearly cast as the buck jumped over the fence.
2 thick fallow deer antlers.

I love these early spring mornings out searching for fallow casts. sun shining, dew on the ground, and the song birds in full voice. These 2 fallow antlers are really thick. They aren't a pair, but I did find the other side to the 2nd antler in this video, later that day.
159.79 miles covered. My 2024 red deer casts, in a short video.

159.79 miles covered between the end of February to the beginning of April. It was a hard season, I didn't get any of my targets, so I had to do some research and look elsewhere. Along with these fresh casts, I found so many old casts, some of which I brought home, majority I left in the field.

Great position & capture & great stag 👍🎥🦌
Thanks mate. Its a tricky location to capture them here.
Great sequence!!!!!! 👍👍🦌🎥
Thanks mate!
is he doing this to cool off?
I presume That’s not on the chase 😂 or is it 🤔
I was thinking the same. :-)
Great that mate !
You’re getting some great clips there
Thanks mate! hopefully get him in the rut now.
@@CannockChaseWildlifeProject Thank you, I have so many videos from this location.
He’s looking great
@CannockChaseWildlifeProject biggest he's been too! Hopefully he makes it to the rut.
Cracking capture !! Bet your well happy with that !!! Class stag as well !! Amazing! Funny I’ve been to one of my cameras this evening got 5 stags wallowing so I’m well happy !! ISadly I can’t put on RUclips as I do study with Forest England! So I’m not allowed to put on the internet !! So wish to share with you 👍
@deerohdeer8000 Thanks mate! I'm really happy with the footage I've got from this wallow this year. Plenty of clips I can share soon. I've captured 3 stags in this wallow at one time, but 5 takes some beating! Well done on capturing them! I'd enjoy seeing that footage!
If you don't respect the true wonders of the nature - like the most fastly growing bone - why are you collecting it? Next time you better stay home, instead throwing them down like a firewood branch... 🤨
👍👍👍💪💪
Nice finds ! I always enjoy on how you find the antlers as much as the finds it’s self !! Great work !👏🏻🦌🦌
Thanks mate. Me too! I actually came about this location by sitting at a fox den one evening, when in the distant field I saw a small herd of bucks appear out of a woodland, so 2 days later I went and checked out the field and this was the result along with another similar sized antler. Love it when it works out like this 💪🦌
Amazing finds Tom !!! Ya just shows you how far you can walk over the last couple of months nuts !!! But well worth it ! Some great finds interesting that few of the stags have really long bez & trez points outstanding stags !!! Love to know what part of the country your stags are from !!??? But if you don’t want to say I totally get that 👍But ya bloody brilliant collection for 2024 fantastic!!
Thank you! We really do cover some ground, don't we in this hobby! Very interesting antlers aren't they from those two. They are from a group up North of the Midlands, I haven't actually seen the stags with the antlers on their heads! But I have found the same stags antlers for the last 3 years now! I must try and get a photo before they cast! The other antlers are from various locations in the Midlands, Shropshire and Peak District. Thanks bud! 💪
@@TMERCHWILDLIFE Thanks Tom !! It’s great finding cast antlers !! But I enjoy the memories of how I found them & track the stags just makes the find so much special 👍 cheers again take care
Fantastic Antler man!! ⛰🦌🙏🏻 Congrats 🤝
Can you take deer antler form deer parks
I guess you can, but I imagine rangers would try and stop you. However this antler wasn't found in a deer park.
Great find again !! 👏🏻👏🏻🦌
Thank you! 🦌💪
Nice find !!!!! You’re on a roll ! 10 red cast & a fallow I’d be happy with that ! I did find 7 red antlers this year , so well chuffed! I found 1 fallow this year ! Just great finding natures treasure gifts when your out !! Great find by the way !👏🏻🦌👍
Thank you! I found another fallow antler this morning too, in a puddle! 7 reds and 1 fallow is really good going. It's hard enough just to find 1. Absolutely love it!
Great find ! Fair play ! Needle in hay stack found ! Good job !! How many have you found this year ?? Great work 👍 thumbs up 1 👍
Thanks mate! It really is a needle in a haystack on there. You more or less have to stand on them to find them as the grass is so long! I've found 10 reds and 1 fallow so far. I'll post the fallow antler soon 👍
💞Wow💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💜
Fantastic finds !! What a buzz to walk on to cast antlers like that ! I’ve just subscribed 50 ! Definitely be supporting your channel!! Fantastic finds 👍
It's what we dream about isn't it. Keeps the fire inside burning! Hopefully some nice fresh Fallows soon! Thank you very much, very much appreciated! 👍
Chiff Chaffs singing their heart out as you make your find! 👏
The signs of spring :)
Aww no. Poor little thing. Wonder what happened there? Nature or human? Still such magnificent antlers. It's legacy lives on 😔
Possibly a rutting injury, or it could have been hit by a car on a near by road, and later died from his injuries. I've now restored his head, and he is ready to be wall mounted.
Nice find
Piękny okaz Pozdrawiam serdecznie 😊
ŁADNIE ZAPOZOWAŁ Pozdrawiam serdecznie
lol nosey bugger :)
Nice mate
Great clip again
Thank you! Hopefully some rutting action soon 🤞
great shot !!!
Thank you
Beautiful !!! 😍😍😍👍👍👍
Just subscribed 44 👍👍! Great channel!! Great capture is this in the wild or deer park ! Fantastic trail camera 🎥 capture! Class
Much appreciated :) Thank you! Totally wild this stag, I've watched him grow up over the years along with a few other of my local stags.
Hi ya just brings the capture come alive ! Knowing it’s wild !!! Amazing capture!!!
That’s great! He’s a nice stag. What did you record it with if you don’t mind me asking?
I use the Maginon wildlife camera WK 6 HD. Found them to be ok so far for a cheaper camera.
The colours are great. We had a WK3 at one point. These look a lot better.
@@CannockChaseWildlifeProject I've been really impressed with this camera, it chucks out good quality for a cheaper camera. I can't seem to find them anywhere now sadly else i'd purchase a few more.
Super😮
You must be pleased with that. Trying to get one on cam has been like the holy grail for us (along with Pine marten). Roe are in surrounding areas, but for some reason they haven’t established here. I’ve seen one locally, know where they have been hit on the roads, and the likely areas they will be. We just haven’t got one on camera. I hope they establish, as they are one of the native species.
I was over the moon to capture one on camera, I've always wondered if there were any in my local area so when I checked my camera and saw the first clip I was really excited! I have been told you've been trying to capture one too! I didn't about the Pine Martens... that would be some achievement to capture one of those on camera. I really hope so too! I have seen this chap in the flesh but sadly not managed to see or capture any others on camera in this area, I really hope a Doe comes along for him!
The one I saw was a doe, never been brave enough to leave a camera there though. Your Buck is in his prime, he is unlikely to be there without doe’s (just my thoughts). Hopefully you get one and prove there is a breeding population.
Omg it's bigger than him 😄 what fantastic footage, Tom !
Great footage. Nature.

Oh, what a find! That's so lovely, Tom! 😊
Thank you! :)
Very cool finding it like that! Where is this?
It cleaned up nicely. This is in England.
🦌 💪
très beau merci bravos
I think that a axis or small elk
Nope you are wrong it is a fallow you can tell an elk would have a much bigger skull even a little one and a axis skull would be smaller
Great trail camera video. Beautiful fallow deer.
😄💪
Congratulations
Congratulations Mate 💪💪💪
Thanks mate! 💪💪
Gratulacje
I thought Bambi's Father was smarter than this.
Fabulous!
That’s nice and sharp what make it trail cam is I lt
