As a farm kid, growing up, I was trained that you do not leap off equipment when an accident happens. You stay with your equipment. Your odds of survival increase greatly. And with fewer injuries. But my question is if we truly cared about safety in our professional drivers, why do we not have air bags? Many of our cars have full curtain side air bags, including side air bags that deploy from the seats. Why are we not pushing for these as well as a frontal air bag standard from all vehicle manufacturers?

This is a good video. always make sure the forklift operator knows what you are expecting of them. They are not able to read your mind. Every driver is different, so communication is important.

Don't forget to double check the tightness of the straps after traveling a distance, Pipe can settle and the straps could loosen up, I hauled a lot of pipe in my trucking days and pipe was a load you had to take special care of,
