TRAILER: Welcome to The Declutter Diaries!
I love a tall, round, hamper-type *woven basket* for throw blankets. Both beautiful *&* convenient. Get one with a flat, woven lid & toss a *small round tray* on top of it. Now, it's a handy *side-table.* 😉
I also find this to be a helpful mindset to let go of those things that I don’t really need! It’s hard to get rid of something for fear of “what if I need it” but the reality is, it can go on to someone else’s home and actually give more value than it was giving me, and like you, I have never actually needed to go buy it again in the future! It’s a mindset to help you release, not an ungrateful way to be wasteful ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, exactly! It is a mindset to help you release items you are hanging onto "just in case". I would NEVER in a million years tell people to purge everything and buy it all again. That doesn't even make sense. Thank you for your insight! 💚
Being wasteful 101. Value the things you already have and stop contributing to convenience culture!
That's exactly what I talked about in the description and provided more context. What I'm not saying is to get rid of things you use and need.
That's moronic.
Paycheck to paycheck speedrun any%
Thats great for ppl who can afford to just buy new stuff when they cant find the one they already have.
I definitely cannot afford to do that lol. You definitely need to declutter and organize your things first before donating something you are using.
How to stay broke 101
Haha that's true if you don't declutter and then organize your things so you know what you have. But I can see how you could take it that way.
@ and I’m 18 living in hell so if I did this I would immediately miss rent and be on the Austin streets with the fentanyl monsters
@@cozy4801 Yeah, then this strategy isn't for you and that's okay too.
Ну и как это связано с моим запросом «left to find you”
My Grandma has treasure in the pantry and fridge.
@@simonsezo2328 😂 treasure?
Everything
I have cans that have been siting in my pantry for 4 years
Does that mean they've been expired for 4 years? Sometimes cans are different too but I have seen clients with expired food from 2002 🤣
You can still eat most expired food and it's fine. It's a waste to toss all that out
That's true! When I work with clients, I've seen packages that are 10+ years expired. If you're regularly checking and keeping up on it, then you probably have space already 🙌
Do you think that there is a difference between men and women, or just between different people in general, in how much a space reflects their stress? I know that I physically and mentally feel the stress when my space is cluttered (and my space gets cluttered when I am stressed) but I don’t think my husband is nearly as sensitive. Do you think clutter blindness can be a strong coping strategy in some people’s brains?
That is a great question! I don't think it has to do with differences between men and women but more individual personality types. We have close friends of ours who the husband is more like me with my mindset of clutter and stress and the wife is not. I think it's also how you are brought up, which we talked about in another episode. I will have to also ask Tina this question and get her perspective too. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! Keep 'em coming!
