Exit Stage Left Remastered 720P Dexter Version
This is the ubiquitous Rush ESL video from the Moving Pictures tour. The video was ripped from the DVD box set, but the audio was taken from the original VHS release and remastered by me. I originally did this several years ago and since then there have been better versions released here on youtube.

Rush Auburn Hills 1994 Remastered by Dexter

The ubiquitous 1994 Auburn Hills Counterparts Tour show as seen all over RUclips. I made the video 720P and did some "things" to the audio to give it a bit more punch and clarity. This is for your enjoyment. I DO NOT OWN THIS MATERIAL. ALL MATERIAL IS THE PROPERTY OF RUSH.

Listened everyday
too bad none of these were caught on film
My school bus driver listened religiously every morning . Always quiet on the bus during animal stories because everyone wanted to hear it . Takes me way back.
i'll always remember their bit when ferdinand marcos was ousted. and all the listeners called in with stories. "ferdinand marcos was a champion of scientific research. he was trying to develop a burnless cigarette. sadly he wasn't having much luck. but he was determined to keep testing."
I listened to them on my way to work. I almost had car wrecks, laughing so hard!
I remember listening to Larry on WCFL and WLS getting ready for school. Larry and Tommy were great… Tommy’s laugh always gets me laughing… I miss the great days of radio the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s…🎸🎶
Listened to Larry LuJack and little Tommy everyday on the school bus 1 hour ride into school. WLS everyday. 60s and 70s
Luv these so much. Listened from central Illinois growing up. It’s now 2024. RIP super jock you’re truly missed.
These are still funny 45 years later! I grew up in New Chicago, Indiana and loved WLS (World's Largest Store) and WLUP (The Loop). Lots of memories I cling too.
These were the days.
I saw on another youtube video with Animal Stories who said he had 25-30 hours of these on cassette tapes. That was a comment from over ten years ago. Someone else must have recorded some of these. If anyone has them, I'd love to buy them from you or digitize them for you.
How sad. My brothers and i listened all the time. I graduated 83. Dad said WLS stood for Worlds Lousiest Station
A SNOT ;LOCKER ??????????????????~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
PHS Class of ‘80 checking in. Go Indians!!
Thank you for sharing growing up in Chicago these bring back so many memories of my youth now 59 can’t stop laughing being young at the time just didn’t understand the humor as much as I do now lil Tommy’s laugh and uncle Lars attempt of seriousness I’m rolling 😂
I'm 58 and have a lot of memories from back then as well. My wife agrees that it was bits like this and channel 11 PBS playing Monty Python that helped to shape my demented sense of humor. Hmm, demented. Dr Demento played a part, too. Svenghoolie & his Son.
Poor squirrel 🐿
I LOVED Animal Stories. I was lucky enough to meet Uncle Lar and Little Tommy back in the dark ages when I was in highschool. They were 2 if the nicest guys I ever met.
RUSH is THE PERFECT EXAMPLE of the fluidity of MASTERING TIME SIGNATURES! I play drums and there are a few things that you need to know about Neil Peart’s ( pronounced PEER-T) character: First he writes the lyrics so he knows in advance what TYPE of song it’s meant to be ie ballad, driver, etc. Second he COMPOSES on the drums… like a carpenter who looks at a set of blueprints before building the object. Neil lays out a SKETCH in his mind of the VOICES of the drumset and builds the song from there. He is also a great LISTENER knowing when NOT to step over Geddy’s singing or Alex’s solos! Finally, he had perfect timing and fluidity of time changes. He said himself that it’s not about COUNTING the time signatures as much as fluid motion to change the tempo without counting: in other words it should FLOW! He hates repeating the same drum patterns in the same song meaning if he plays a fill one way the first time around he will play it differently the second time around. IE. Rolls down the toms the first time around and triplets or quads (all four limbs) the second time around. In short there will NEVER be another like him on planet earth 🌍 🌏 🌎! REST IN PEACE PROFESSOR! With heart felt admiration and sincerity! Gary
Still got my original Moving Pictures tour shirt! Saw them in Los Angeles! Best tour ever in my opinion!
Thank You
the great dane and the port-a-potty --- classic!
I was living in the middle of Illinois & trying to tune in WLS in the morning. Trying catch animal stories before catching the bus to school. Nothing like it at the time. Laughing through every one of them.
Python ok pekingese ok chinchilla ok husband wife maid ok 👍german Shepard not ok needs dental work.
This is a lot funnier than that syndicated show that's on so many FM stations now.
Hey, Gail Sayers, after retirement, lived in Wakarusa, IN.
I met Gale Sayers once. Had a nice conversation with him, and got an autographed photo. ♥️
We use to listen this every morning in wood shop in the balvidere high school
OMG this brings back many memories.
Gods, I loved Animal Stories. Larry was a magnificent beast of a human, and I loved his show. I even loved the feud with Steve Dahl and Garry Meier. Those were some entertaining times, before anyone heard of a personal computer, and people thought an Internet was a safety device for high-wire acts and trapeze artists.
Snot nosed little Tommy.......
Why didn't the parrot say anything? (Rim shot.)
It's pretty unusual for a python to eat its prey while it's still alive. That's the reason for the constriction.
Very funny. Laughed my ass off.
Yes yes yes!
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THESE!! as a young child, I annoyed my parents endlessly to get these albums.
great memories from simpler, better times
I needed this today--thanks!
I was too young to fully understand Larry Lujack and these Animal Stories; I used to listen to our bus driver playing this in the morning on the way to school. Man these are HILARIOUS!!!!!!
Our bus driver did the same. WLS was always on when he was driving the bus.
I grew up with this guy Good Old Uncle Eric and Little Tommy what I lost art of radio I'm going to look for everything I can to listen to
Uncle Lar. Not Uncle Eric. Must be spell check.
Larry Lujack.
