The Parent's Plea: Stop Spoiling Packers (and NFL) Games – We DVR for a Reason!
Hey football fans! We know you're excited about the game, but some of us have parenting duties that delay our NFL joy. Between diaper changes, school pickups, and snack time, we can't always catch the game live. So, this is our official, slightly desperate plea: PLEASE STOP SPOILING THE GAME! DVR is our best friend, and we just want to experience the thrill without knowing the score ahead of time. No texts, no spoilers, no updates - let us live in blissful ignorance until we hit 'play.' Mowing Madness: Scag Tiger II Takes on Tall Weeds and Dry Grass
Nice quick attach. I wish.
You didn’t even show how to put the white caps on
You should push the base pole into the gravel b4 pouring concrete. U don't want the base when it has concrete below it. The base pole needs to drain into the stone. That way it is not holding water. I always set my base pole a few inches into the gravel b4 pouring the bag directly into the hole. Mixing is not required with those red bags.
Where did you get that Menards inside diameter hole gauge?
Thanks for the video and the comments on correct drainage are helpful. ❤ from CA 🫡 🇺🇸
just watch it live 😭
Maybe this could be a sound track for THE RIPER!! ruclips.net/video/xghjnKMZOmw/видео.htmlsi=gS8jCglFR0_D_ENP
Great video!
Thanks! We hopefully got him hooked on sawdust and power tools after this.
The idea of the pea gravel was to bury the sleeve in it and pour the concrete AROUND it. Covering the pea gravel with concrete does nothing for the drainage.
Hey there new subscriber can’t wait to watch
Hi @lifeonthehomestead, Court The Tool Mom here! Can't thank you enough for following along! Subscribed back from my personal. We appreciate you!
Mine is too
Nice Rack indeed 🤤
made you look 🤣 aren't I fun?
You're fly is undone....
You ain’t very good at that, you should have watched a few videos yourself
Learning and growing over here 😊 It’s held up through 70mph winds and all 4 seasons up here in Wisconsin. Any tips and tricks or videos you recommend?
@@Hardwarehangouthaters gonna hate. Giving opinions on your video but haven’t done any home improvements themselves. 😉
New to this as well.. How'd u fly 2 flags..? Do I need dif/more hardware for the bottom flag..? Is 20ft'pole tall enough for the 2 flags.?
Orange is your color 🦌

At least it's not your wife building them
And you still have all your appendages and a wedding ring on your finger! :)
Haha GOTCHA babe :) Love you!
Great video! My wife is the daughter of a carpenter, so I'm kinda lucky, but she still doesn't want to saw stuff, everything else she's good with doing. Lol 😅
That's exactly like how we are! Luckily I'm not a big fan so sanding or staining so it works out pretty well for us. Love the families that build things together.
i know crazy eyes whenever i see them
Haha, those eyes are what keep things fun and interesting around here, that’s for sure! 👀😊 Thanks for noticing and watching!
👍👍
👏👏👏✔
good work 😍
It was a struggle but we got it done!
Hot Dad Summer Alert <3
Nice work!
Thank you so much!
Good work
Cool bro
Really good
Wow
Good job
Nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
Dad why would you smoke 😮 that’s bad 😢
Could you run 2 boards side x side?
Nice work. Just a recommendation from one woodworker dad to another that works inside the home, get yourself one or two air cleaners. That fine dust will find it's way all over your house and your family's lungs. A couple of cheap box fans and furnace filters will make a world of difference.
I had the same idea right after making this video! Picked up a couple of box fans and filters and it has been an absolute game changer for our basement.
I have the same planer and it's awesome. I did a couple of fence picket projects myself recently. I was wondering where you got you pickets because the ones at my local HD are generally nasty and color varies wildly. I had to pick through a LOT of them just to find 10 that weren't too bad and similar color. Do you just take whatever even is they don't match? Also curious if you go back and do additional planing if the boards are cupped and the planer doesn't get all of the roughness in the middle and/or on the edges.
Starting out, we were also getting them at Home Depot. But after stopping at Menards and seeing how much smoother and nicer looking they were, we made the switch. I typically will pick through the entire bunk to find halfway decent ones, 80-100 at a time. I don't usually separate them by color, though. I like the mismatched look from the different wood tones. If they are too cupped or warped, I will save them for other projects or toss them in the scrap pile. Otherwise, I will just run them through multiple times until the blades have touched the whole board.
I like you do my woodworking out of my basement, nice to see I'm not the only one. Subscribed.
Welcome fellow basement woodworker! It was the only space we had left that wasn't taken over by our kids. A struggle to bring in the wood but worth it during the hot summer months here in Wisconsin.
@@Hardwarehangout I can totally understand about bringing in the material, up and down the stairs. I'm close to Cincinnati, and in the summer it becomes a struggle. Lol 😂
If you batch doing one side of all boards at one time you will only have to adjust your planer height twice.
I have tried that a few times. I ran into a problem with my boards not all being the same thickness though. May have to tinker with it a bit and see if I can make it work a different way!
Yea you wasted a lot of time resetting the planner. A lot of extra work and less consistent the way your doing it but I like ur gig u got going on keep it up
Why are the cedar pickets at my local Home Depot a much darker color and, i don't know how to describe it, stringy? hairy?
Same here! I don't know if it's the video but his pickets looked really nice overall. I'd have to spend hours picking through every picket they have in stock to get aa pile that nice.
@@johndoe6032 it doesn't matter if they're the cheaper ones or the pressure treated variety, they look nothing like his, I'm in south TX, I've looked all over, mom and pop places, local big stores, Lowe's and so on, no one carries pickets this pretty, lucky dude
The ones we get from Home Depot are also like that, stringy and hairy. We started buying them from Menards and have noticed much better quality and less planing and sanding.
@@eddyimplementreduxTennessee. Same here.
But why a Packer flag?
For the love of our Green and Gold!
You taped the tube at the bottom... why put pea gravel then. The gravel is for the water to drain from water in the tube that will happen
I'll have to remember that for my next install. Was following someones advice at the time and didn't think anything of it. Thanks for the advice!
Trying to do this now myself. What did you use to scrub it? Just bleach?
I use the chlorine and dawn liquid soap
I just used plain old bleach and some elbow grease to get most of the stain and junk out. Once I filled it up and added in my chlorine the stain disappeared after a few days and looked like new!
Use a level for the other side.
Mike Haduck would not approve of this video.
What was the purpose of using the sonotube instead of going directly into the ground. I’ve only ever used them if I needed to form concrete above grade. Just curious.
The tube is a waste of money, just put concrete into the dirt, it works great. just like installing fenceposts.
Lots of wasted money yoy did there for a flag pole
Sonotube is used when you need to form above grade. Like posts for a wood deck; you don’t want them contacting the ground and rotting prematurely, so sonotube gives a nice and easy form that you will see for decades. In this case, the sonotube was just extra work and money since he covered it all up. You’re not supposed to leave the tubes in the ground either…
And the gravel was a waist
✋ 'Promo SM'
Level the top. It's not necessary to put the level on the side of the pipe.
Agree with this. But…just be darn certain the top of the sleeve is exactly 90 degrees to the sleeve itself.
It looks like a girls “box”
Looks awesome! I'm going to make one, and put it next to my bed
