[Read Description] This is simply a matter of MY OPINION. Don't go posting hate comments if you found a song you like. And don't really care if I put 'indefinitely' at the end. What I meant to say was definitely, but didn't realise the mistake at the end. So for all you people who just love to correct people, there is your answer. A requiem for a race
Serana <3
I don’t understand why that this song is not on Spotify where I can add it as all my other atmospheric depressed songs😢
This is one of the reason why that Skyrim is a masterpiece!!
This music is absolutely perfect. And fits perfectly in this area. It makes me feel so happy

Will never forget stepping into the Forgotten Vale for the first time, seeing the scenery and then this music hit. Just hearing it makes me want to play the game again.
NO WAY
Best video of all time
People may put Dragonborn as the superior DLC, but "Touching the Sky" is *untouchable* when it comes to choosing the best quest of them all. Forgotten Vale, this soundtrack, the best companion and a brutal prophecy to be stopped. I always connect the music on 7:50 to the moment our Dragonborn finds out that in order to fullfill the prophecy, Serana needs to be sacrificed... and that cannot happen by any chance.
I don't remember if I actually found the Forgotten Vale on the PS3 version, because when I played Special Edition on Steam a few years back, I got to this part and was blown away by the visuals and music of it all. it didn't look familiar to me. All I remembered from that version was Fort Dawnguard, Castle Volkinhar, the Soul Cairn, Solstheim and Herma Mora's plane of Oblivion. Unless you have to go through the Forgotten Vale to get Auriel's Bow or whatever. I don't remember, mmkay?
2022 anyone?

Just like something is already dead.
This track is simply sacred. And the quest is called Touching the Sky.
Trollface
First minute or so is very reminiscent of the Danny elfman batcave theme
Object Gamer Horror Season OST: Please! (Dizzy)
this is my new favorite video
It's been my favorite video for the last few years
Every man’s worst nightmare
Jeremy Soule is a master musician. This song evokes too much to explain
What saddens me is that all comments are 4 to 8 years old. I hate time.
Skyrim is beautiful.
The dawnguard dlc is one of my most favorite dlc’s in any video game
Dear God the feels. I just recalled my disbelief the first time I left the maze and saw the scenery. Then the music starts and I felt like I entered holy ground. When I learned the full story I wept like a baby for the poor Falmer. Ysgramor truly was a cold-hearted butcher and the Dwemer monsters worse than every Daedra combined. They earned their fate and then some. And to think this is just fiction. Skyrim truly is a masterpiece of epic proportions. The next Elder Scrolls game has a lot to live up to.
arriving at the forgotten vale was one of the most magic moments i had in a game.
Yo how is 2013
The first time I went through the forgotten vale, I remember going through it out at night. Hearing this music while going through this valley at night, it felt so majestic. No wonder why Jeremy Soule and David Wise are two of my favorite video game composers. I love both of their music.
This entire part of the DLC was a Masterpiece that I will never forget.
Am I the only one who feels like crying when I hear this music?
When I went to the “touch the sky” mission, I cursed the developers for that cave ... But it was worth getting into the forgotten vale..... Serana, fantastic music, landscapes ..... This is what I fell in love with this one of the best games.
This music makes me want to cry. I don't know if it is just so good or if it is the nostalgia and my love for the game. Either way, I find it extremely relaxing and I am reminiscent of something that I have never had but somehow miss it anyway.
This music , the final fate of Snow Elves and Snow Prince make me cry.
May Auri-Els light guide you
Imagine technology which could erase your memory. I would buy it just to replay Skyrim all over again. Jeremy Soule is just NUTS with his soundtrack.
Epic music! I used in D2 Mod.
Forgotten Vale is like a different world separated from skyrim. the mysterious aura it brings its just enigmatic and full of intrigue.
The reason I cried so much was because I hated the Falmer so much... “Ugly, monstrous goblins!” I called them... then this expansion pack came out, I met the Snow Elf and he revealed... everything... if my character could have fallen to her knees and begged forgiveness from that Mer, I would have made her do it. I used to use the Falmer to clear out ruins and level up... they were my playthings. I’d realized after hearing the awful and heartbreaking truth that I had become just like the Dwemer. The race I was so fascinated and immersed in had become the very thing I should have been against. Then I saw their beautiful piece of land and their temple... was reminded of what they currently were, and realized what they once were. God damn it, whoever designed this entire franchise is a goddamn genius.
A cold place indeed
I feel you 👌
Same here. When my character fought the Stormcloaks or anyone who said "Skyrim belongs to the Nords" (which was ironic since my character is a Nord indeed) I wish he could say out loud after completing the Dawnguard quest: "Tell that to the Snow Elves"
Listening to this while reading The Silmarillion 👌
Blessings of Auri-El upon you!
Such a beautiful track
Jeremy Soule
I hated this DLC until i first heard this upon leaving the cave for the first time
Do elements of this song remind anyone of Toccata and Fugue, or is it just me?
Feels like you're in a different realm or era in Tamriel
i sincerely hope they will include locations like the forgotten vale, and of-course a similarly epic soundtrack. in the next Elder scrolls.
I just say this on reddit. I regret searching it up.
Poor snow elf, turned their race into blind race, betrayed, sadness, and loss from their homeland
Эта музыка, наполнена полной красивой печалью когда-то великой и прекрасной эльфийской расы, которая ныне мертва и забыта.
