A short video on some thoughts I've been having. Music Used: ruclips.net/video/AzV77KFsLn4/видео.htmlsi=9AM5Z-z1jLV0V4ea COSMONKEY - Rainy ENRA & dr. niar - silhouette
I laughed out loud when the Honkai Impact 3 theme came on. I've played it since launch and it sure has become a memory
Robin's song during the Sunday fight went hard during the fight, but halfway through that last bit of the boss I realized that this was actually the first time we've seen the whole crew fighting together, and that combined with the power of the final word of the chorus of the song, it became my favourite hoyo song by far. - I regards to Guilty Crown, I really like the soundtrack, and Krone is my favourite track from it hands down. The silence before that big drop really gives it a big impact. I especially like the piano cover done by Kenzie Smith, which can be found on Spotify. Departures is also really good, and I think that it's actually pretty easy to memorise, since the lyrics are so slow. I was able to do so for most of the song even though I never had it on repeat or anything. - And finally, here's my unique OST mention apart from everyone else: I absolutely love the soundtrack of the game Ender Lilies, my favourite being North and followed closely by Harmonious. North plays in a snowy area of the game. The silence of everything around you aside from the enemies due to the muffling snow, mixed with the lore of the area, makes the tragic sound of North always hit me in a way I can't describe. Harmonious also fits it's environment in the game well too, and I prefer the in-game version of the track because it's got the ambient sound of the rain going on too, plus you being in the actual area it's made for and seeing all the decay around you. Another thing I love about the soundtrack of EL is that safe rooms with the "bonfire" (a bench in this game) have a slightly subdued version of the area's track, making the tracks seem even more melancholic than the normal version of it. I've not played any other game before that's thought to do this, and I'd like to implement it into games that I'll someday make. Taking that into account along with the game's overall story, lore, and how the player character goes through so much during the game made it stand out as one of my top favourite 3 games of all time. I'm so hyped for the sequel coming out next January, I believe, and the OST of the early access portion of the game that's currently out is already shaping up to be fantastic as well.
Lucky 415th sub
For me, it would be Dearly Beloved, more known as the title screen melody of Kingdom Hearts. Whenever I listen to it, I remember Sora and his friend's journey.
Okay so here i go running down the list ig. Great video hear as well. Was very good Hsr songs in general but the most being Had i not seen the Sun, and the Bossfight of Penacony Grimgar IS by (K)now_NAME specifically Growing and Nutrient are great. Persona 5 Royal Our beginning simply makes me feel complete But connection with music for me can be formed through other ways as well, namely when i listen to some music on repeat while reading. It burned the songs into my brain connected to the books so every time i listen to those i relive my reading experience of the books i so dearly love Examples of these The Second coming of Gluttony: Whirring - Joy Formidable and Destiny - VmacBeth Sumpflochsaga: After Dark - MrKitty Shadow Slave: Nunca he sabido amar and others i probably forgot at the moment. Music is magical Great music taste you have as well with guilty crown op1 and darling in the franxx op. Have a great day
Even though it is not perfect, Guilty Crown will always be my favorite anime, the story, the characters, the settings, and ofc the soundtrack, with Hiroyuki Sawano, Egoist and Supercell. It doesn't get many love from the people, and i totally understand that. That's also the reason why every time i see people complimenting and giving Guilty Crown the credits it deserves, I just cant help it, it just... makes me feel happy! Thanks for making this video!
I listened to I really want to stay at your house before watching Edgerunners, I loved it. However, after finishing the series, the song hits so different for real.
I call myself a "song hoarder" I have playlist specifically for movies, animes and games. So that I wouldn't forgot how I felt that moment. Air Gear, Eyeshield 21, Law of Ueki, Hitman Reborn, Death note, code geass are some examples of animes that whenever I hear those openings it feels like its taking me back in time.
Truly Bleach, has some iconic themes - treachery and number one (mc theme) Oshi no Ko with its second season has this music video at the end (Pop in 2) and it is kind of uncanny with how one of the girls has just found something (no spoilers) Death note also has an iconic soundtrack - and just saw the musical on youtube, and afterward a video discussing how great the songs were and how they also captured the same sounds as the anime did. Other animes with good soundtracks would be Shiki and Devilman crybaby. Game: Nier automata (Just don't stop playing it after the credits roll the first time, bc the game actually progesses... based on steam achievements a lot of people seem to think the game is finished at that point but that is not true) A beautiful song (the second time around you truly understand this boss fight) and the weight of the world also really hits different. BG3 - with Song of a baldurian (played in the lobby in act 3), Weeping dawn, and Pahael's Final Act Other: Watch Alien Stage on youtube. A hunger games sort for music talents...
Talked about "emotions" An op can brings, I remember first op from "your lie in april". Ask people who never watch the anime to react to op vs who already watched and you will noticed different in emotions
I always felt like "Last Stardust" by AIMER has more emotinal weight to it, especally when it was used in F/SN UBW episode 20
beautifully done video, one anime that always gets me with how good the music was is Samurai Champloo, hits in all the right moments
Guilty crown’s OP, ED and ost has always stuck with me for over a decade. Thank you Egoist, thank you guilty crown for existing, their songs has helped me through my highs and lows and it means a lot to me❤❤
Departures from Guilty Crown is by far the most beautiful song I've ever heard. It made me completely rethink my thoughts on the series & characters upon finishing it, with it now being one of my all-time favorites. I've been listening to EGOIST's music since. Thank you, both Guilty Crown & EGOIST, for that experience.
The song that I always think of when I think impactful video game/anime music has to be the final vocal track in Xenoblade 3. Don’t want to get into spoilers, but it’s the kind of song that transports me right back into the first time I finished the game, the incredible sadness I felt seeing that cutscene. Music provides a very clear link to my emotions and a game, it’s almost always what I look back at to reminisce, to cry, to smile, whatever it may be. Music has this incredible ability to do that as is, but add in a game with an impactful story too and you have one of my favorite experiences ever. I genuinely love the feelings I get when I listen to songs like the Guilty Crown opening for example.
Akuma no Ko = Attack on titan, this song came from the final seasons but somehow feels nostalgic to how much everyone in the series had grown. I remember aot with this song specifically for some reason. Secret Base = From anohana, i dont really remember anohana much but i do remember the feels i had the time i watched that series thru this song The Place Where Wishes Come True = From clannad , this ost makes me contemplate on wtf im doing with life everytime youtube recommends the song and i listen to it, clannad after story really hits different especially when you are all grown up and this song reminds me of my childhood
It's SO HARD to recomend HSR and Genshin to friends bc the story takes its time to get really really good. Genshin had to go throught 3 regions before the peak writting of Sumeru and (specially) Fontaine, being Inazuma a complete mess. HSR has a good and iconic start with Belobog but falls hard with the Luofu (in my opinion) but then comes Penacony and makes you forget about the previous two. One one hand, old players can expect spectacular stories from now on, but in other hand its just too hard for new players to keep interested.
There are so many songs that have made me feel this way I could never finish naming them. Just three of mine are "Hashitairo" the ED of Children of the Whales, "Mememto" from Re:Zero S2 and "Endless Embrace" from Made in Abyss S2.
I got into Guilty Crown back in 2016, just a year after I had first gotten into anime. The music is what sticks with me the most, as after I finished the show I dove deep into anisong artists like Hiroyuki Sawano and Supercell. If it’s not the stories and artistry that keeps me interested in anime, it’s definitely the music.
Guilty Crown Op is that Dramatic Chaotic Tragic Romance
R. I. P EGOIST That aside, many song from NiER Automata still linger in me even though I just know the story and never play it myself. "I'll Remember You" From Trail of Cold Steel 2 actually make me cry when they play it with Crow in the background. "Orange" From Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso also make me sad, but just sad at that time, now that I'm older and gaining more understanding at the song and what actually happen in the Anime. That song really does become way more bitter.
Hey, just passing by and felt I should share as well. I want to say say that you're not alone and I've felt the same as well, and still do to be honest. I believe I'm older than you, already got through college, but my college years were pretty tough. Even though the classes themselves werent that difficult, I found myself overwhelmed just like you and burnt-out. I felt aimless and quite frankly depressed. I struggle with procrastination alot as well. Now that I'm in University, not that much has changed on that side. I still struggle with those things. But, if there's one thing I can say and take away from all this, it's that the things that I truly love are the ones that help me through those hard times. I know you said that you dont have a dream or concrete goal like some others do, and that you wish you did, but honestly, I'm not sure it helps that much. I personally think I have a pretty concrete goal, and I know what I want to do. I've known since mid-highschool and been working towards it ever since. Still, I struggle all the same. I guess my point in mentioning this is that it doesnt really matter, and you shouldnt let that discourage you. Besides, I think what you have going on here with this channel is something you can be proud of. You're already putting yourself out there and using your passions to create content that resonates with others, developing skills for video editing, narration, critical thinking, etc. Even if that isnt a long-term goal, I think thats plenty for the time being. Atleast, that's more than many out there. I have no idea what you like or what you're studying in school, but just remember that the academic path isnt the only path to success or self-fulfillment. Wish you the best my friend. Take care!
Hey, thanks so much for reaching out and sharing your experience. I’m not sure I can fully put into words how much I appreciate your words. Knowing that someone who’s been through similar struggles has found their way or is still working through it makes me feel more encouraged and motivated.I think you’re right, focusing on the things we love can be a way through the tough times, even if it doesn’t fix everything. I guess we’re all navigating our way towards succession in life, regardless of the goals or dreams we set. Just hearing that it resonates with someone means more than I can say, it really does. I think that is the main goal I kinda had for these videos where it is entertaining at least 1 or 2 viewers while leaving them thinking or reflecting. So knowing that people actually like what I put out is very motivating and exciting. But that being said I am in a very busy situation right now so I am not sure when the next upload will be :p. I’ll keep what you said in mind and thanks again, and I really appreciate the encouragement!
Preach! Completely agree my man. Great video.
"I Really Want to Stay at Your House" is such a perfect example that will always stick with me no matter what. There are some songs that have hit me so hard that I refuse to listen unless it is in that context since overplaying some songs can hamper my enjoyment of it in a way. It's for the same reason I don't like necessarily breaking down and analysing music. An example of this is the two songs that play in the Baldur's Gate 3 credits, the lyrical version of "I Want to Live," and the song version of "The Power." I had never heard them before the credits and they both sent chills down my spine. I know I won't ever be able to replicate that feeling, finishing my first multiple-hundred-hour playthrough and hearing those songs for the first time, but by only letting myself listen to them when I finish a second, third, fourth playthrough. There is the other end of the spectrum though, too, like anime openings or game title screens. The thing that gives them so much meaning is the sheer amount of time spent listening to them and it begins to encompass your entire experience. To use another BG3 example, pick any of the camp songs, or the songs that play during the intimate scenes with campmates. For me, a huge one would be the Ark: Survival Evolved title screen music. It is so iconic to players, every time I boot the game up I have to spend a moment humming the theme tune. Although there aren't necessarily character or story beats to associate with the music, it's instead the experience you have with the game. Hours upon hours of exciting and frustrating gameplay can all come flooding back just hearing that familiar tune. Since we're sharing, some specific ones to me besides the ones mentioned above include: - "This Illusion" - Any time the main melody plays in UBW. After watching UBW so many years after the original Fate/SN '06 version, this always hit hard with nostalgia. - "Kishi Ou no Hokori" - While on the topic of the Fate series, this one too is one that sticks with me. - "Anduin's Theme" - From World of Warcraft this time. I started playing that game during the Legion expansion a good few years ago. Since then, various versions of Anduin's theme have come out, and every time it brings me back to WoW. - "Run Free" - From Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. I could choose literally any song from this film. Hans Zimmer and Bryan Adams were stellar from the whole soundtrack. "Here I Am," "Sound the Bugle," "Brothers under the Sun," "You Can't Take Me." Any of these! - "Test Drive" - From How to Train Your Dragon, self-explanatory. - "New Trismus/Spirit Isle Theme" - This one is super niche since it's from an old MMO called "Istaria" that has such a small playerbase but it was my first MMO and the starter town of New Trismus had this gorgeous track that will forever live in my memory. All of the tracks of this game stick with me. In fact, just talking about it makes me want to go back and check the game out again! - I'm not sure the exact title, but the final end credits for Avatar: The Last Airbender. There are so many more but for now I'll leave it at this.
Hearing For Riddles, For Wonders after Genshin Impact’s Sumeru Archon Quest was just.. man.
cant speak for star rail. as for genshin I remember its story having some really good highs but also terrible lows like oh man it was boring and dragged at times.
The OP theme of Gurren Lagann is one of these: climactic, optimistic, and very representative of the entire series.
That guilty crown won't leave me alone, the feels always comes back everytime I hear it. Also, Bleach's opening 15. From thinking it was a fun and different vibe from the rest of the series' og opening, from enjoying it to always thinking of how broken Ichigo had gotten in this arc. Him crying under the rain and the series seeming to end there, it's like coming back to 10 years ago, where tybw anime is not possible to see.
"I was born for this" from the game Journey is what i want to be played at my funeral.
For me it's Bauklötze from Attack on Titan soundtrack. It was released years before the appearance on the show and I thought it was fine. But when it played in the background as a main character (who was also one of my favorite characters) died, I can't think about the song without getting emotional now.
Guilty crown op was INSTANT shivers
guilty crown have also before op one of the best starting song when inori sing her song god that was so good
Honestly, AoT's OST has definitely made its permanent mark in my mind.
Firefly.. Acheron.. Robin&Sunday.. Aventurine. So many gutwrenching stories in Penacony Q_Q
ngl i absoloutely fucking hate i wanna stay at your house for one singular reason. let me down was simply better and actually encapsulates tge feeling and meaning of edgerunners alot more.
Man i really regret not saving tthe luxury store saleswomen in that side quest(it really hurt me when i realized you could change her ending depending on the option you choose). Since then i decided to choose the options i wont regret when i look back on it
The very first time I did this was like 8 years ago with the Pokemon soundtracks from the movies. That was the very first time I actively searched up an ost because, my god, those soundtracks truly were the most impactful of my childhood. Anyone remember the Venice themes from movie 5? Or the tragically beautiful scores from movie 3? Pokemon was absolutely cooking back in the day and I've been a big believer of this concept ever since, my more recent one being the more recent season of Haikyuu!! Every OST I listen to takes me back to that scene when it was played and reminds me of why I loved the show as much as I do now.
Yeah when series/game/any stories end the only left in memory is a music That's why music is importance, but nowdays, music feel like not really become prioritize Most of series(low budget anime especially) every episode feel so empty
I'd say Red Swan from Attack on Titan meant so much more after watching the finale. It gave me a sense of nostalgia even though I was watching other characters' lives.
Red Swan is my favorite Attack on Titan intro just for how singable it is.
The Weight of the World in original Japanese version from NieR: Automata.... they use a take in which the singer starts crying around the end of the song but keeps going until the last note. Its so raw and beautiful and joined with the experience of the whole game and its story... makes my chest tighten in a sudden surge of emotions every single time.
love flops episode 7 and onwards ED goes hard
Clicked for Guilty Crown
I was expecting everything, except honkai bgm When it started i was looking away and i don't think i ever returned my look on a video as fast Having played it almost since it was out in Europe it's really a part of my life already
On the topic of the video, I would say I had a very memorable connection drawn between themes and the stories in the game "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time" (and Darkness/Sky, I just owned Time) and an anime with a very long name, so I'll just use the abbreviation "SukaSuka", which ended up being the first light novel translation I ever read due to obsession. If you know anything about the PMD series, the endings are basically the same concerning the player. Concerning Explorers of Time, the themes leading up to it after your journey to that point were basically stamped into my mind. Considering I still call it my favorite game 14 years after I bought it, they must have done something right. The theme in particular: "Don't Ever Forget..." As for the anime, the start of it plays a rendition of "Scarborough Fair". Having learned what the song itself signifies since I first watched the anime, its use later on in the anime does invoke a certain feeling. Considering I actually like the song itself and listen to it occasionally, I will never be able to escape that. The memories were definitely tied to the songs played, and both were some of the most memorable experiences I had before becoming an adult.
That guilty crown segment hit me like a dump truck, chills
HOYO-MiX is the 🐐
persona 3 - memories of you i haven’t cried so much in my life
Literally the start of guilty crown hits you with Inori singing Euterpe, and after each episode was Departure... absolute cinema.
It's been close to 10 years since I first heard Skyclad Observer play at the end of Steins;Gate, and somehow that song has exclusively meant more to me throughout my life. It's never been meh; it was awesome, then it became so ingrained into me that seven thousand flavors of one emotion hit me every time i hear it, every shade of determination, motivation, persistence, and every small reason for moving forward in life. 10 years of life lived under that as a guide represented by four and a half minutes of music. It's literally a snapshot of a hyperspecific emotional state i had 10 years ago that has compounded with every emotional state I've had listening to that song since then, as well as all the friends I've met and bonded with over the series, and even though that's probably the most powerful example, i can probably name at least a hundred more that have a similar impact every single time i hear them. In fact, I found this video recommended while i was listening to "Houkagou Distraction" from Hi Score Girl, which is yet another example.
